Booked this pit of a place for my husband who was working in Worthing. When he arrived to check in after work there was one young member of staff serving in the bar which was full of what can only be described as "the cast of the Jermey Kyle show taking over doorways to smoke and refusing to move. My...

Went to breakfast at 8 am, but it looked congealed on the hot plate and no staff in sight. I found a cook cleaning the bar area in her cooking 'whites'?! I asked for some eggs but was told she could not do me any, as she was on her own.I would never stay here again.

Beware if you only have Scottish notes. They won't accept. Pity if u've ordered a large round of drinks and don't have English notes. Shameful in this day and age. They say it's because they've had a few forgeries however that can also happen with English notes. Don't waste ur time going here. And a note to the hotel Manager,...

Chose the Grand Victorian due to its location and because we enjoyed it last time. Once again we found it well priced and all the staff friendly. This time our room was not as well equipped as the last time, there was mouldy in the bathroom and the mirror was very dusty. The breakfast buffet offered an ample selection though...

We staed on a Sunday night, Four poster bed, Clean towels bedding & room. Full english B`fast ....£37!!! Beat That! in Worthing/Brighton! It is an old Victorian hotel with still some of its charm. The bar/restraunt is a bit like a Wetherspoons, but staff are friendly & services is good.As i have said £37 fora double..........you can`t go wrong,

Nice looking hotel from the outside but that's where it ends. Had to ask the bar staff to check in as the hotel entrance was closed, the bar although pretty with its Victorian style stained glass lamps and brass fittings it didn't smell very nice. After check in I looked around the room and discovered the filth and dust all...

Building is quite old but really really nice to look. The advantage is that the hotel is situated directly opposite the railway station. Breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from. Room was big and really comfortable. Staff were really nice and friendly.

Very old building and a shame that it's been left for so many years just getting worst and worst , the clientele is very much bottom standard and this shows with the lack of investment clearly needed to be made to restore this historic building

Stayed here whilst visiting a friend in Worthing, chose based on its location I found a superior room great value at just £84 including free breakfast. I believe that being opposite the station in its hay day this was the hotel to stay at. Now renovated to its former glory its Victorian bar and oak panelled corridors are set off...
