Oatlands Park Hotel is often celebrated for its grandeur and elegant charm, offering a range of praised amenities like spacious rooms and quality food. While travelers appreciate the hotel's clean and well-maintained environment, some have noted additional charges and overpriced services detract from its value. The location is appreciated for its closeness to attractions, though dining and shopping are a bit farther away. Guests frequently commend the attentive service, despite occasional organizational hiccups. Cleanliness stands out as a particularly strong point, contributing to the overall positive experience.

This place is suffering from poor maintenance (in general)

We arrived to be greeted at reception by, it appears the head receptionist who bless her NOT her fault was waring a shabby uniform way to big for her and very washed out looking disheveled . Management need to ensure our first impression is not our lasting impression.

The room looked corporate but pleasant, albeit the ceiling had a stained leak right across it and the room it was either too hot or worse still as the heating failed it as too cold in fact VERY cold. No heated towel rail in the bathroom as it had not functioned for some time, supposedly being replaced by an electric one some time in the future. We complained THREE times and nothing was done about it. I eventually asked to speak with the manager whereby I gave him a written list of all the problems in the hotel. Old brittle peanuts served from the bar at £4 a pop plus service, well of course! The cleaners trolly stood at the foot of the grand staircase for three days and nights I suggested the manager when doing their round had lost sight of what was under his nose. That afternoon hey presto he had listened and it moved. Our phone flashed all night so needed removing to get some sleep

The restaurant, it was again very corporate the size of a Gatwick lounge, it had not occurred to management that as only 6 dinners each day that it might be nice if they sectioned a smaller part off and tried to attempt to make it feel and look like a restaurant. The huge size empty and brightly lit with no mood music was truly truly off putting. The food was GOOD (thank heavens) and a really nice very professional waiter I believe Romanian was on the ball and very very good at his job. Afternoon tea, though looking charming the cups and saucers where badly chipped and the afternoon tea cakes at the top of the server were soggy, collapsing in your hand as you picked them up, yuck! Sadly it was like dinning at the Marie Celeste.

As a social visit (couple) Sadly I cannot recommend.

The manager did bring a bottle of wine to our room by means of an apology. Frankly he should have just halved the bill for the half of the experience that was bearable

We booked the celebration package for an overnight stay for our wedding anniversary and it was excellent value for money. It included a stay in the newly revamped king junior suite with afternoon tea, dinner, breakfast, 2 spa treatments and prosecco included for £460.
The hotel itself is set in pleasant grounds and the building is attractive. Efforts have clearly been made to upgrade the front and lobby areas, which are really beautiful and welcoming. The building and hallways are large as are the rooms! Our suite was huge and comfortable with lots of furniture, a standing bath tub in the main room, a modern bathroom, lots of storage and all the necessary extras like tea/coffee facilities, free water, a safe and ironing board etc. The bed was big and extremely comfortable while the tv was suitably large to fit the room and well-positioned ahead of the bed and sofas. There is also an impressive air con system keeping in mind the age of the estate! Reception sent us as much free water as we asked for and dealt with a faulty safe issue very quickly and efficiently.
The staff are a real highlight - extremely well-trained, polite and helpful. They offer refills and want to do as much as they can for you. Lots of little anniversary freebies like handwritten cards, a free Penhaligons bath set and extra celebration dessert at afternoon tea were lovely touches.
The restaurant was nice and service was great. The food was top-notch (especially afternoon tea and dinner) while breakfast had a huge selection of food and drinks at the buffet. The service at dinner was slow however but we weren’t in a rush and the food was worth the wait.
The grounds are lovely but the hotel hasn’t quite made the most of them. A wander round the grounds doesn’t last as long as expected and more could be made of the nearby lake. A lack of activities at the hotel itself are a shame - evening music, a pool or anything like that would be a welcome and needed addition (fellow guests we spoke to agreed). If you are there to just put your feet up and do nothing then it is perfect. There are lots of top tourist sites within 20-30min of the hotel such as Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle & Painshill Park, which are very good if not visited before!
My wife reported that the spa treatments were excellent with top-grade products and a therapist who knew all the ins and outs. But it was just one small room with no music to set the mood before the treatment began while customers waited - something the hotel could look at to enhance the experience.
This is a lovely hotel with many great aspects to it such as the food, service and room size/comfort, high levels of cleanliness and proximity to top tourist attractions. However, if you are wanting lots to do on-site or an extensive spa/pool programme then look elsewhere. We loved the hotel and would recommend it for a relaxing short stay!

We went for our anniversary stay and the room was finished beautifully with towels shaped like swans and rose petals and chocolates. Our stay was extra special and Zac a manager was at the bar on our last evening to finish our trip beautifully. Jack was the manager when we arrived who helped us settle. All other staff on these few days went the extra mile. Thank you and we will return

Very disappointed with my experience at the Oatlands. The room was much smaller then represented in the photos. When I arrived we were displeased with the condition of the room and lack of basic amenities such as a ice bucket, microwave, elevator, fridge, etc. The carpet was also dirty. The room was so small and poorly designed that the bed was right in front of the door so when the lights were shut off the outside hallway lights would shine under the door and light up the room. The hotel is also built like a maze. There is no elevator and no clears signs to show the exit. And the location is far away from any restaurants or shops.

We asked to modify our reservation from 2 days to 1 and they refused. This was a simple request and the hotel refused and could not offer any accommodation to mitigate our disappointment and dissatisfaction. This is simply a bad way to do business. Trying to squeeze out an extra night's stay rather then trying to provide the best experience to your guest.

This hotel is not worth the price. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. It seems to be used primarily as an event space but SHOULD NOT be considered for a stay. I would recommend other hotels in the town such as the Holiday Inn or Bear Inn or Swan Inn.

The hotel mostly caters for large functions / conferences, but Emma in the event booking team did a great job accommodating the 16 of us with 11 different bedrooms as we enjoyed "granny's week-end", which spread into a week.
Granny is 88 with limited mobility, but there was great level access throughout the reception / bar area into the restaurant and then into a ground floor bedroom just off the restaurant. All of the staff were very patient and helpful to granny and all of us. Emma also very considerately placed the rest of the family's rooms near to granny, including the family with toddler (great grandchild!) very near the restaurant.
We would have liked a comfortable lounge area to meet up in during the day, and we found the bar / reception area a bit stark and loud.
Also the dining room in the evenings was almost empty as nearly all the guests were at functions.

Dear Fiona, thank you for taking the time to leave your 5-star review following your recent family stay. Our Country House hotel is also an events and wedding venue, which can mean that it is busy over weekends however I hope that this did not impact your stay too much. I will be investigating your comments on our bar area and how we can make this a better space. I’m delighted you were well looked after by our great team of service professionals and you enjoyed your time in residence. It was our pleasure to have you with us and to be part of these special moments, and we look forward to welcoming you both back to Oatlands Park Hotel in the near future. Absolutely lovely experience at Oatlands Park Hotel for a weekend break.
We were in an executive room and couldn’t have been more impressed with the size (huge), cleanliness, and beautiful lake and parkland views from the dual aspect windows.
The bed was very comfortable and touches like the well-stocked tea tray, water bottles and iron/ironing board tucked away in the large wardrobe made for a relaxing stay.
The food at dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations and was really delicious.
Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and clearly wanted to make sure we had a lovely stay.
Extra tea bags and milk for the room were no problem, thank you from an avid tea drinker!
Loved the decor in the hotel and the historic adverts and cards sharing details of the hotel’s past through the ages from the 1850s to 1940s give a real sense of authenticity.
Enjoyed exploring the cute shops and surroundings of Weybridge too - especially the National Trust’s River Wey Navigation area. Would definitely recommend a stay at Oatlands Park Hotel for couples, friends or families wanting a relaxing, friendly and comfortable experience in beautiful surroundings.

We highly recommend this family owned country house hotel in picturesque Surrey yet with easy access to airports and London. Every member of staff we encountered were so accommodating and just seemed happy to work there. Our Executive Room was one of the most spacious we have stayed in and the countryside views were amazing. The food was of high quality ingredients executed well and the very reasonably priced wine list was much appreciated. All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and are planning to return soon.

We recently visited the Oatlands Hotel on a Travel zoo voucher which included a three course evening meal for two. We had no problems with the hotel all staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well stocked and the general ambience was very pleasant. Our room as we requested was quiet with a walk in shower. There is ample car parking on site and it is o short walk to a nearby pub and restaurant with Weybridge itself only a 20 minute walk. Our only criticism is the meals on offer on the voucher itself which was very limited (two I believe on all courses) without having not insignificant extra charges. In all our time of using a voucher system this is the worst I have encountered. My three courses where enjoyable however my partner chose three different courses which were all of poor quality. The breakfast however was very good. Would we stay at the hotel again yes, but not eat our evening meal there.

We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay, found our staff friendly, and appreciated the comfort of your room and the hotel’s peaceful ambiance. It’s great to know that the breakfast met your expectations as well. However, we regret that the limited options and quality of the evening meal did not meet your standards. The hotel was booked by my partner through one of the usual “offer” sites, not that this should be an issue really but I do sometimes think there is a reason why an establishment goes out to these to maintain some level of occupancy. However, the executive room booked was very good even if it was located in a wing accessed through the dining room, spacious with upgraded shower room en suit and and all the expected facilities. On walking through the dining room I wasn’t particularly inspired by its layout / decor but we were booked on a DBB package so we would see what fare was on offer.
The hotel at the moment does not offer a lunch service, curious but on seeing the limited offer for dinner menu I assumed that the hotel is suffering along with all hospitality to a staffing issue, front of house staff were evident but they had the evidence of “ newness” about their manner of service. We used the restaurant on both nights of our stay and I feel the choices on offer were more akin to reasonable “pub-grub”than 4 star hotel. Breakfast I feel was as to be expected and seemed to cater for all requirements.
The location of the hotel is very good with extensive parking, the hotel has no lift so access could well be an issue if you don’t ask the relevant questions at booking. The entrance has heavy double swing doors which do present a problem if you arrive loaded with baggage as there are no staff available at this point to assist.
In summary I feel the hotel for its location has a price point you may expect but I get the feeling there are things going on behind the scenes that made our stay not quite as relaxing as I usually expect but I can confirm the bar staff do make a really good cocktail.

An excellent stay from start to finish. A swift check in by efficient and friendly reception staff. My room was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The restaurant was efficient and all the food was first class. The buffet breakfast offered a wide choice of well presented, perfect condition food. The hotel has it’s own grounds for a pleasant stroll. Check out was slick. Every encounter with a member of the staff was positive! I intend to visit again.
