Recently under new management , decided to pay the chat moss a visit as they have started providing food again . You are greeted with a very warm welcome and whatever you ask nothing is too much trouble . There is a much improved selection of wines and hand pulled beers all at a fair price . The food can...

Stayed there one night for a 90th 'do' elsewhere. The new management and staff are really helpful and friendly and are working hard to revive the place. Nice hand pulled beers, many new fittings in the hotel, all work in progress. Really nice garden. Comfortable bedroom with new beds and fittings. Very handy hotel for Manchester or Liverpool or just...

Absolutely horrendous. On arrival we were informed that it wasn't like a real hotel and because it is a pub we would have to be back by 11.30. Thankfully they found a key so we could get back via the fire escape! Room dirty and shabby. TV didn't work properly or the toilet. Sockets hanging of the wall. To cap...

This place is lovely... The rooms are basic but absolutely spotless, owners are so accommodating & friendly. The grounds are beautiful & it's very reasonably priced. it's safe to say I will defiantly be returning

Cant fault the staff in anyway, Tony the landlord couldn't do enough to make our stay any better. Food and the atmosphere was top notch. Got to be the friendliest and most welcoming pub/hotel in the north of England. Thanks

Some people are dim or ridiculously optimistic. If you pay £35 for a room, expect £35 of value. In these terms, Chat Moss delivers. The bedroom was clean but basic. The shower/toilet room was clean but they had forgotten to provide soap. The bed was comfortable, the TV did not work. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient. As a...

Went in here last night and there was a great atmosphere, and the pint of Cumberland I had was especially excellent, would be better with a few more choices of bitter but still good! Nice setting of a pub also

Sadly have to revise my review. Attended on a Sunday to be told food would not be served until after 1pm on a Sunday. Only came here as previous choice of pub was already full. As it was about 20 minutes until one we waited. Food did not look home cooked and was fairly standard quality.
