#5 of 13 B&Bs / Inns in Wallingford
The Coachmakers Arms is a cosy pub where a warm welcome awaits everyone. The three lovely en-suite rooms are accessed via a separate entrance and situated over two floors. Rooms 1 & 2 can both be configured as a double or twin room and each has an additional single bed to accommodate three people. Room 3 is a double room perfect for a couple or single occupancy. Housed in one of Wallingford's oldest buildings, the Coachmakers Arms is a friendly pub close to the heart of the town and just 300 metres from the River Thames. We offer a small but delicious menu currently being served from the garden grill on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. Please ask for more details regarding meals as I am more than happy to provide some options by arrangement during the week. Breakfast is hearty and freshly cooked to order. You can select a breakfast to suit your taste from the various components of a full English, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, all served with a pot of tea or fresh coffee and orange juice, followed by toast and preserves if you have any room! I look forward to welcoming you to Wallingford and hope you enjoy your stay. Lynne

Such a friendly host and bar staff. We received a very warm welcome and were in Room 1. Very comfortable bed, although overlooking the beer garden with windows closed the noise didn’t penetrate and could also just join in with the regulars if you wanted who were also very friendly. Spacious room, fresh milk for tea and coffee which is a lovely touch. Delicious breakfast with yummy orange juice and coffee. Lynne and the dog, Bo, definitely the highlight though, very attentive and friendly! I swear Bo led us to our table for dinner the evening of our stay - highly recommend the pizzas! Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed here and got a lovely welcome. Room was beautiful with tea and fresh milk. Room was reasonably priced too. Lovely beers to choose from. Breakfast next morning was fresh and tasty. Pre-ordered night before so wasn't long to come out. Lovely fresh orange juice too! 100% recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here cycling trip. The host, Lynne, could not have been more accomodating. Found space for bikes, made fabulous pizza, and breakfast was amazing (great sausages!). Room was perfect, overlooking the street, but slept soundly. The world needs more Lynnes.

We stayed here as it was close to family we were visiting in the area and had stayed before, under previous ownership. Lynn and her staff were all very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed was really comfortable, and all the linen was very clean and soft too. You even have fresh milk in the mini fridge instead of those long life milks you often get for your tea/coffee. Breakfast is really good. There is also a lovely beer garden. Look forward to staying again soon, hopefully.

A great experience from welcome to departure. Lynne the landlady is just so friendly and helpful. Our baggage was taken up to our room. No. 1. It was beautiful, extremely comfortable and very quiet, overlooking Wallingford’s rooftops. The garden to the rear of the pub was beautiful, music, not too loud and excellent service from the lovely staff. Wallingford is a lovely little town, after a good walk around and dinner we rested in a wonderfully comfortable bed with great linen. Breakfast was excellent. We preordered the previous evening from a very comprehensive preorder form. I cannot recommend the Coachmaker’s Arms and Lynne the landlady enough. By the way, Beau the much loved dog is exceptionally well behaved and lovely. Well done Lynne. A truly lovely stay.
