On arrival we received a friendly greeting and introduction to out static caravan, though starting to show little signs of wear and tear in places was very clean and provided all the basics needed though we assume because of Covid any items that might add a more homely feel had been removed but, understandable and not a problem. One of my must haves, a good powerful, hot shower was provided and was really excellent.

The site is small, quiet and well looked after, again due to Covid there were no facilities available other than the shop for a couple of hours which stocked essentials and took orders for bread, croissants etc. the Wi Fi at £8.50 for a week was good when it worked but was temperamental for a couple of days, not the sites fault as they do not operate it.

We enjoyed the afternoon visits by the 2 hens that do the rounds of the caravans for treats and who will invite themselves in if you leave the door open!

Very convenient location for Tavistock and Dartmoor, the Peter Tavy Inn was recommended and did not disappoint, booking essential, Tavistock is a nice market town to have a stroll around and Plymouth a short drive away.

All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful staff in a great location coping well with the Covid situation, a little gem of a site which we would love to visit again.

We spent a long-weekend here after receiving a Red Letter Day voucher for our anniversary. We have stayed at many campsites over the years and Langstone is, by far, the best one we have been to. The staff were all wonderfully welcoming, well presented and happy. We stayed in a pod which was more than adequate for the four of us, I imagine it would be very cosy out of season as it had underfloor heating. WiFi was available in the pod for a charge of £2.50 per day, per device. The pod had folding wooden chairs which were fine for a short time, but I recommend you bring your own more comfortable camping seats.
We were satisfied with the meal that we had at the onsite restaurant and the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant had a homely feel and the generous portions left us with no room for desert.
The facilities are well cared for and amazingly clean, the showers are spacious with plenty of powerful, hot water.
The park is considerately well laid out with strong Eco credentials and is set within the most beautiful surroundings, within close proximity to local attractions. The shop, whilst small, had a broad selection of essentials and was open early and well into the evening.
Our short stay was over all too soon but we will most definitely be returning as soon as we can.

Booked a tent pitch for a 3 man tent with electric hook-up as I was on a photography break. I was put in a convenient location to leave early and arrive back late. Grass was neatly cut and no great bare patch from previous users. Some pitches have picnic tables. Sensible Covid precautions with a bucket of plastic ducks used to limit the number of people using showers and toilet. Hand sanitizer in sensible locations. Small shop on site for basic supplies and had 1 meal in the Bar/restaurant. The menu isn't extensive but most people should be able to fiif they wanted to eat in for a week. Food can be ordered between 5pm and 8:30pm. Some local lagers and ciders on draught. I didn't use it but there was a laundry. Site was quiet at night even towards on Friday/Sat nights. Great location for western Dartmoor and I'd be happy to book again.

We spent a week here during Covid pandemic in our motorhome. The site is over a mile off the main road along narrow roads but traffic is minimal and other drivers are courteous. The site has pretty level grass and a few hard standing bays of god size. There are great views over the Devon countryside. Within 5 minutes walking you can be on Dartmoor and within 25min on top of Pewter Tor with fantastic views again.
The washing facilities were restricted to pod users so cannot comment on them. The surrounding area is very hilly so electric bikes are necessary unless you are a keen, strong cyclist.
We will return.

This was our first camping experience and what a place to choose!!
Friendly and helpful staff. ( sorry we had to borrow your pumps late the first evening as we brought a wrong adapter). The toilets and showers were spotless, helped also by (most) visitors respecting the facilities and cleaning behind themselves. Was great to find that the showers were easy to use with just one push button to give hot powerful showers with eco heads.
Lighting is appropriate in the right places, but absolutely none in the camp area, which allowed excellent star gazing, withe the bonus of a few shooting stars!
Location is excellent, just a genuine five minute walk from the edge of the moors, with sheep and ponies wandering about wild. Tavistock is just a short drive, with it’s beautiful buildings, plus shops and river.
Would certainly look to rebook if camping again down that way.

We visited Langstone in August and had a lovely time. The staff are very friendly and efficient and we couldn't fault the site or the accommodation.
Unfortunately the restaurant and bar/games room etc. were closed due to the pandemic but there are lots of pubs/restaurants within a short drive and nearby Tavistock is a lovely town.
I thought I saw pizza being delivered to a caravan one evening so maybe that's an option also. The onsite shop also sold some provisions and the caravan is well listed out with hob/oven/grill/microwave etc.
It was really nice to arrive to fresh milk in the fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits and condiments.
The whole family loved it and we will definitely return!

We stayed in a Mega Pod for 3 nights as a gift from our children for our Silver Wedding Anniversary 18 months ago. I have mobility issues as I am only 3ft 3 inches tall, however this Pod was wonderful. There was only 1 step to the door then a step over into Pod which with my husbands help I was able to do. Everything inside was perfect and so clean and airy. We had our own toilet and basin in the bathroom and full use of the shower facilities on site which were within walking distance although I used my mobility scooter. There is a bathroom also with a walk in bath and shower over it which was wonderful and very accessible - also spotlessly clean. This bathroom is only available by obtaining the key from reception and you pay just a £1 for the hot water. This was perfect for myself as the showers only, were too high for me to use. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The Bar/Restaurant was very nice too and served a varied menu, we ate there each evening. Tavistock centre is only a short drive and also close enough to walk, although we did not due to my mobility issues. All in all this was a wonderful relaxing break and well worth a visit.

We have just returned from four nights stay in our camper van. We have been here many other times in our van and stayed in the lovely pods. The site has everything you need clean facilities and COVID safe which was a concern but they have thought of everything even hand gel at the water collection points. There is a restaurant on site and you can order quasonts for collection in the morning. The surrounding area is beautiful you can walk from the site to the moor in about 200 metres . There’s nothing I can say that’s bad about this site.

Facilities for camping superb, toilets, showers immaculate. Jane and David provide squeegees and easy use mops so each person can keep them spotless and guest, in our experience, respect this and use them. Pew Tor Apartment very comfortable with all self catering equipment provided. Great location on the moor with lovely walks and the town easy to get to. The onsite team are helpful friendly, informative and can't do enough for you.
The Moor Food, on site restaurant is a major asset with friendly efficient staff and great service, with superb food, wines and beers as well as soft drinks and child seats for the little ones. Second visit and can't wait to go again.

From the moment of check in we felt very welcomed and part of the family. We had this as a gift voucher from my sister and I've told her what an excellent present she got us!
We had a glowing pod and took our two rescue dogs who were good as gold and loved the moor walks. A short walk up to Pew Tor and walking amongst livestock was really nurturing to our health. The shower, toilet, washing up, restaurant facilities are all great and even at what would be "peak" shower times, it didn't seem to be that busy.
We really liked that our pod gave us some privacy and eating out on a porch instead of outside a tent made a big difference for some reason.
Plenty of letterboxes to find locally and a really nice secluded safe area that promotes nature. Perfect for a cycle/hiking stopover, families with kids, couples, I think this would suit everyone and anyone.
Thank you to the team at Langstone, we will be back!

Hello, our reception sells basic goods which includes milk. The only bread we sell is baked to order - baguettes (Brown or White), croissants and pain au chocolate. Tavistock is a 10 minute drive and has a great selection of shops.
