Stylish accommodation in the heart of Tavistock. Pocket sprung mattresses and high quality linens in tastefully decorated en-suite rooms overlooking the town. Great, locally sourced breakfast meats and an extensive breakfast menu. Very well located for country walks or business trips. Tavistock also has many great restaurants to choose from. Rockmount offers accommodation just yards from the historic town centre. All of our bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms fitted with great showers and some with the addition of a bath. We have king-size beds as a minimum, with AppleTv, iPads, digital TV, WiFi, Nespresso machines and a desk in each of our rooms, we're sure you'll find it a great place to stay for work or pleasure. We also have free off road parking and porter service. Please note that some of our rooms are small but perfectly formed and great for a short stay. Our Apartment and Super king are much more generous.

This is a lovely property. Three of us came to visit so we booked the apartment and a hotel room. Lush beds, modern design, quality thoughtful touches throughout both units. It was easy to totally relax here. Additionally, the staff are great! They went above and beyond to ensure we arrived safely, they called us personally the day of our check in to see if we needed anything. Tony, thanks so much for your stellar service. We actually thought the 5 star reviews were a lie, but you and your entire team are amazing.

Well what a jewel of a place the Rockmount. From the minute of arrival through to leaving we were made to feel very special. Help with bags, friendly and accommodating. We had the garden room, wow it was beautiful, very clean and everything was included. Lovely soaps, shampoo, conditioner etc. We went out in Tavistock and then came back for drinks in the evening, the atmosphere was unbelievable. Breakfast gorgeous and fantastic Can’t recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back.

Excellent place with parking, 5 minute walk to town, well equipped rooms and the best TV size and channel selection I have ever seen. The room was perfect with us with a good sized bathroom and an area for ironing making tea etc. We booked with no breakfast, but it is available from the great restaurant underneath, which has out door terracing. We did eat there in the evening, had some Tapas which was excellent washed down with a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend the Rockmount and we will be back.

Here for a weekend break. On arrival the owner (Tony I think) gave us a very warm welcome and put us in the garden room, a free upgrade because of a no-show. It was a great room, very spacious, comfy bed, great shower and what was basically a kitchen if you fancied a spot of self catering. There was a small adjoining decked garden with tables and chairs, where we enjoyed a couple of cool beers in the lovely sunshine. The hotel is very close to town, which is only a short walk away. Parking is included. Breakfast wasn't included in the price and was eaten in the other half of the operation, The Annex. Separate report on that. We had a fab weekend and have no problem in giving a strong recommendation.

This is the best secret in Tavistock for accommodation. Well presented, quiet, and a gem in Tavistock so close to the town centre. Reserved parking and well equipped rooms. The staff are particularly friendly and accommodating. The Annex adjacent offers breakfast luncheon and evening meals all to a high standard. The views from the restaurant are amazing over the town. Tony -mine host and chef- is attentive at all times and ensures that standards are maintained to the highest of standards both I. The rooms and in the restaurant. Repeat customers prove the worth of the place.

We stayed in the garden room for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago. What fabulous accomodation with parking just yards from central Tavistock. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a wonderful and private outside seating area.We didn't eat in The Annex but would probably next time as this is a definite re book next time we are in Tavistock. Owner was super helpful and cheerfull too, allowing us to park and check in early.

The Rockmount and its associated eatery The Annex is a must if accommodation and relaxed dining is required. This was our third visit to both establishments and we were very impressed by the standards of the accommodation, food, bar facilities and not least by the genuine welcome offered by the owners. Nothing was too much trouble and the accommodation the best we have experienced in Tavistock over the years we have been visiting friends in the town. Well worth a visit by locals but you will need to book as the Annex is particularly popular for breakfast, light meals and tapas. Residents parking on site is an extra plus.

We stayed at The Rockmount for one night as a stopover on our way to Falmouth and we loved it here. The hotel is situated up a hill a short walk from Tavistock town centre, just before the Tavistock Viaduct. There is a small car park at the entrance which is reserved for residents only. We were greeted by Tony the owner as soon as we arrived and he showed us up to the room which was immaculate, with coffee machine and tea making facilities and it also had Sky TV, the bed was large and comfortable, and we both had a decent nights sleep. The bar / restaurant area (The Annexe) was very busy with customers (always a good sign) so luckily we had pre-booked a table when booking our stay. The restaurant food is Tapas with a variety of small dishes which you can choose as many as you like, we shared six dishes, all of which were very nice. The service was excellent and Ryan was especially attentive when we were ordering our meal and drinks. The cooked breakfast was also very nice, everything was fresh and hot! including the baked beans (my wife is very fussy when it comes to baked beans - they have to be piping hot, haha). This place wasn't overly expensive, we have paid a lot more money at other hotels which were nowhere near as nice and we would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Tavistock.…

I just could not describe how impressed we were. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner. He showed us to a lovely spacious room. The bed was really comfy. Good quality of bathroom amenities and the scent they use in the room is just amazing. Breakfast is surprisingly affordable and delicious. Next time we will have to try dinner. Lovely room Lovely staffs Will come back again for sure. Definitely recommend!!
