It’s really were to start with they were absolutely brilliant I’m not in the best of health and they went out of the way to assist me in the hotel moving luggage baggage or anything like that so they have been something I would write them more than five stars if I could put turn up I would Divided wonderful food and the rooms looks like they’ve used pandemic to actually put some new stuff in the bathroom is bloody brilliant and it’s disability accessible as well unfortunately the stairs are not but they help me with that this hotel should be put on the map because it’s really brilliant and every yo way I want to personally thank older stuff what they’ve done for me they made sure I have a great holiday

We stopped overnight after a wedding. We were not able to check in to our room before as the wedding started early, however, were able to leave our bags & collect our room key beforehand which was so helpful. The hotel is lovely and olde world full of old beams and history. Our room was super, spotlessly clean, a huge bed and great black out blinds. Breakfast was really tasty and cooked to order, we were really impressed that the hotel uses locally sourced providers, plenty of choice too. The staff at the hotel are a credit to the management, so helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great, albeit short stay.

we stayed for 2 nights - the first night we were awoken about 5:30 am and then 3 times more before 6:30 am by some sort of noise from either water supply or a problem with the plumbing the next night- in adifferent room - the AC was soooo noisey - goodness me we did not get a wink of sleep - dreadfull Breakfast was OK - but the cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desire - one server, at breakfast, picked up a napkin that had been dropped by a guest and wiped down the table ready for the next guest - disgusting - especially in these sad times Please dont stay here if you are a light sleeper Restaurant is v nice evening time - but ensure the table has been cleaned properly

We stayed in room 15 the twin room. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Only downside was the unexpected visitor of the paranormal kind. He was a good one though that likes playing practical jokes. There was plenty of hot water for the showers. The breakfast was I would say is in the top 5 of the best breakfasts. Would have been better if the chef didn't serve just 1/2 of mushroom or black pudding. The poached eggs were just right and the sausages you could tell they were not the cheap ones, good quality and meaty. A good choice of fruit juices, fruit, cereal and yogurt. My Carer advised me that the bar had served an excellent pint of local beer and my brother in law ( who is very fussy ) enjoyed his pint. They have a secure carpark but the entrance is quite tricky getting in from the High Street but it is easier if you drive from St Mary's Street. We will definitely will be visiting again, maybe to another room!😉
