Well don't know where to start. We live In Braunston, how lucky are we. Matt the landlord did the most superb dinner for 36 people, the actual last meal served on the Titanic. Luckily we lived to tell everyone what fantastic food he served us. Great service as always. Just a great night with the locals and newcomers. Thank you.

We visited the Old Plough on New Years eve for there special themed menu. They had the last 5 courses from 1st class on the Titanic on the night it sank. The food was amazing...some of the best food I had ever had. It started with canapés and oysters, then the best homemade chicken consommé I have ever tasted. Followed...

Unfortunately we only stayed one night at The Old Plough. We were given Room 1, which had a super kingsize bed and a very comfortable settee that also doubled as a sofa bed if required, the bedroom was extremely clean and perfectly comfortable, we certainly slept well. There is a good size car park and a first class restaurant. The...

The cost of overnight stay in Milton Keynes was almost three times the price than looking on Trip Advisor. Having previously stayed in Market Harborough, I found the Old Plough. Another hour towards home, a lovely village pub, rooms well decorated, may be a problem if you are tall as we were in the top eves. Evening meal must have...

My wife and I looked for a dog friendly lunch venue in Rutland and luckily found The Old Plough online. We did not book but found the bar area reasonably full ( a good sign ) warm and welcoming. We enjoyed excellent food. Recommend the soup and the whitebait. Good sized portions reasonably priced. Our other companion ( Nik the...

My wife and I visited after a great 'pub walk' in the beautiful local Rutland countryside. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I had the £10 two course lunch of soup and home made steak and kidney pie - fantastic! My wife had baked potato. Good range of real ales etc. Great interior - real log fire and all...
