It is many years since we stayed in this type of hotel - that is a town centre inn - and so were a bit unsure what to expect. We arrived on a very cold January day and were surprised to find that the only radiator in our bedroom was turned off. Not the best start! However, other than that,...

Hotel is very friendly and welcoming. Yes a little old (du!) but a typical town high street hotel/pub. Rooms aren't the Ritz (not that I've ever stopped at the Ritz) and they are not Premier Inn. But they are warm, clean and comfortable. Food in restaurant was absolutely excellent and good value too. Then we moved into the pub and...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Swan Revived Hotel. I am pleased you enjoyed your visit to the Frog and Nightgown on a Thursday Quiz night. Sorry the service was a little slow, please do return and try the bar food sometime. We also have live music alternate Friday nights in the bar.

very loud and cold as all windows are very old metal frame single glazed so you can hear people outside the pub and also people in the rooms around you very clearly. The only good thing about the hotel was the food.

Thank you for reviewing the Swan Revived Hotel. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The only rooms that have the metal window frames are those above the bar in the 1970's extension. We have been trying to get these changed but planning will not allow us to change their style, as the building is listed -...

Went for evening meal with friends. I had the chicken caeser salad and thought it was very average for the price. Far too much dressing and not enough chicken. The Frog and Nightgown lacks atmosphere I feel. First time I'd been and I wouldn't rush back.

Stopped off here before a concert and had a variety of teas, drinks and snacks. We occupied their front room for a couple of hours, in which time the staff were lovely. The table service was good, the quality of the drinks/teas/snacks was good (several of us waxed lyrical about the excellent lemon drizzle cake), and we thought it was...

Had a very comfortable stay here. Our room was clean and serviceable with nice sized closet, tea/coffee making facilities & vanity/wash unit in the room - and a separate built-in compact shower room with toilet. Our bed was super comfortable, squishy and cosy, we wished we had reserved lunch instead of breakfast as we didn't want to get out of...

I only stayed here one night on a business visit. Check in was very simple and the staff were friendly. I had a double room which was nice and clean, the room itself was quite small but the bed was a normal sized double and really comfy. The room had great radiators that were easy to control. Tea and coffee...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Swan Revived Hotel I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Due to the age of the building we do have rooms that vary in size, if you would like a larger one please do ask about our Superior rooms which are also further from the bar and smoking area. I...

I went to the Swan Revived on Tuesday to meet up with an old friend. The pub was warm and friendly with a good atmosphere. The beer 🍻 was a little over priced but the service was good. All in all ok.
