Very outdated, I was sadly disappointed. The hotel is so tired it was asleep!! I booked a twin room as we were visiting to play golf. The first room we were put into would have served well as a broom cupboard. Long and thin the beds were head to toe. We were moved to a much larger room but the skinny little shower running off the taps were abysmal. The ancient carpet throughout had more life than an old fella vest and the ladder tied to the outside wall next to the window as an 'emergency exit', would have been a very scary prospect if it hadn't been so hilarious.. I try my level best to be positive about most of the places I visit and the staff were quite helpful and polite but unless you are looking for 'cheerful' because it definitely 'ain't' cheap, then in the words of an X-factor judge - 'It is a definite NO from me!'...…
Had we read Trip Advisor before booking, we wouldn’t have stayed here. The hotel is allegedly awaiting a major refurbishment. If that is the case, then the hotel should be offering significant discounts on their published room rates. We paid £120 for a shoe box of a double room, where one side of the bed was immediately adjacent to a wall and radiator. The room fee included a £20 supplement for a sea view, and a dog supplement. By comparison, a much bigger room at Travelodge cost the same money for 4 nights. The breakfast was nice, but not astounding. The staff were polite and friendly. While the room was tiny, it was clean and comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom appeared to be nearly new. Had we paid half the price, this review would have been more favourable.
My fault for not reading reviews before booking this hotel. Seems it has new owners who plan a £900000 refurbishment over the next winter. Pity we weren't informed of that when booking. Consequently, the current state of the building is somewhat 'shabby.' This would have been easier to bear if we had not been charged £160 for a relatively small twin room with sea view, including an antiquated shower room; an extortionate amount of money for bed and breakfast! However, despite the rundown fabric of the building, we could not fault the staff, the bedding or the cleanliness.
The lindum hotel is a great place to stay, you can even take your dog. We had a lovely twin room with a sea view. All staff couldn't do enough for you, especially Tina at breakfast. It was very clean, will definitely go again.
Stayed here overnight on Saturday and stayed in the sea view room 502. Price for the room was £107.10. Downstairs in the hotel was lovely so expected our room to reflect the same (especially for the price) what we actually got was very disappointing. The room itself was very large and the view was lovely however this is where it ended. The decor was very dated and poorly done, whoever had decorated had obviously not moved anything and just painted round. The tv was tiny, no stand in it as I presume was previously wall mounted but now perched on the dressing table and was also covered in paint. The bathroom itself was not too bad but no seal in the shower screen meaning when showering the bathroom floor got soaked!! On a positive note I slept well but unfortunately when I woke my neck was decorated with multiple bite marks on the side I sleep, maybe there was more than just me and my husband staying in that room!!!! Breakfast was nice but even that would never bring me back to this hotel. Very disappointed as your webpage does not reflect the reality…
We stayed here for a couple of nights with our dog. Lovely clean hotel, but what really makes it is the staff. We are aware that they are closing for a refurb but hope the owners appreciate how fab the staff are and manage to retain them. Thank you to you all for a fab stay
Is very much like a b&b, not a hotel. No entertainment or anything - bar shuts at 11pm which is quite early. Staff are friendly however rooms are small and basic. Hotel does smell a bit of damp/an old people's home. Very average stay, nothing more to say really.
Website very misleading,no evening meals or snacks available, just a glorified B andB. Bedrooms very small and a lot of stairs to go up in middle section,no lift. Would not recomend to anyone.Think twice before booking.
After reading previous reviews , was contemplating cancelling and re-booking elsewhere . Glad I didn’t , the staff were friendly , the rooms were clean and spacious, there are plenty of breakfast options, parking is limited but you can easily park on the main road..The hotel does need modernising but still good value and would definitely visit again.
Went for a few nights with friends, on booking in two lots of guests were checking in with large very hairy dogs and used the tiny lift, after which I could not use as I'm allergic to dogs, they do say it is dog friendly but stupidly I assumed this would not be in the hotel bedrooms or the breakfast dining area, we counted 7 one morning, Urghh. The hotel needs updating, I think they said this is on the cards for this winter, breakfast was very good, you can choose cereals, fruit juice and fruit and yogurt from the buffet, queue for toast was quite long, the staff bring coffee, tea etc and you order a very fine breakfast with them. The hotel is very well placed for the beach and not too far from shops and bars. Enjoyed the stay but would not stay again, due to the dog policy.
