We decided on a two night break in Lytham just before the Easter weekend and booked a double room here. Both Lytham and the hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff were all so helpful and hardworking, the beds were very comfy, the bathroom was spotless and the continental breakfast was excellent - the croissants looked and tasted like they were ‘bakery fresh’ and the muesli was delicious. The location was great and we parked for free on the road immediately opposite the hotel. Loads to see and do in Lytham & St Anne’s - big shout out to Fylde Council for investing in its parks, leisure centre, theatre etc which is increasingly rare these days as councils are subjected to ongoing funding cuts.

Our sons bought us a two night hotel stay for Christmas, we finally got round to booking for a stay in late April and chose the Mode hotel in St Annes on sea we paid to upgrade to a sea view and were allocated room 2 on the 1st floor good sized room with a small balcony with two chairs. bed was comfortable with soft pillows we were also provided with towelling robes and slippers. Bathroom was a nice size with toilet wash basin and shower good supply of toiletries. Breakfast was continental but this was quite extensive and well stocked there is a drinks machine that takes pods luckily for us there was a young waitress who made the coffee for us. There is a bar that we did not use but looked fairly well stocked and nice comfy seating. All in all a good two day break and will be back some time in the future.

Booked only 2 days before for a Tuesday - Friday break . Smooth check in by pleasant staff . We were given room 16 , on the top floor with an unremarkable view of the street at the side of the hotel . The room had a very large and comfortable bed , nice bed linens , a free standing wardrobe and slim set of drawers for storage . A small desk doubles as a dressing table with a hair drier provided .
The bathroom was a reasonable size with a small shower cubicle . Rainfall shower was powerful enough and always hot . Bathroom area was clean with fluffy bath sheet size towels changed daily .
This room is quite dark ( in the roof area ) with only a velux window for ventilation . A desk top fan is a nice addition , but even with the fan , we did find the room to always be very hot .
Breakfast was of a good quality , and although continental , there was a good choice of fresh pastries , juices , cold meats and boiled eggs , toast , yoghurts , muffins and fruit salad . Your choice of tea and coffee is served to your table and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming .
The hotel has a lovely bar area at the front which always had a nice atmosphere for a few drinks and you can take advantage of a nice gin menu happy hour ( 2 for the price of one ) between 6-7pm daily .
This hotel has a great location ! Opposite of the road from the lovely beach and promenade . Lots of restaurants around within a few minutes walk .
Hotel Parking is very limited and tight with only space for 8 cars . We never managed to secure a space , but could park free on the opposite side of the road without a problem . I would not hesitate to return to this hotel for a future stay . It’s clean , comfortable , welcoming and friendly .

10 out of 10 What a superb Hotel. Starting from its position along the front in Lytham St Annes on sea overlooking great views while having a drink from the well stocked bar. The rooms were first class with a huge king size comfortable bed and great shower, however you have to book early to get a room at the front with a balcony. The lady on reception was the most helpful person I have come across in any hotel we have stayed in, explaining everything from how the hotel operates to the best way to get to the town centre including good restaurants. You can tell the owner has gone that extra mile to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. What can be said about the continental breakfast it completely covered everyone’s need for good food and plentiful. All in all I would highly recommend a stay at the Mode Hotel.

My wife and I stayed her the night before got married. They were kind enough to offer us a discount, but for the smaller Seaview room with late check out (12), it was still £160 for 1 night.
We couldn't sit out on the balcony as there was an older gentleman on the balcony next door smoking weed and talking loudly into his phone constantly. The whole hotel smelled of weed. We went out and just came back to sleep.
Tbe next morning when it came to getting up and dressed, we discovered that the shower was ridiculously tiny, and it only has a raindrop showere head (no second head to switch to) which was huge. So shaving legs and washing hair was a struggle (you can't escape the water to leave the conditioner in or shave, so you ha e to get in and out of the shower or turn the water off and on. Not onky that, but the temperature on the shower was too hot. Every time I lowered the temperature, the knob just turned itself back to hotter. It was clearly faulty. Nobody ever in reception to report the issues, not even at check out time, and we waited a while for someone to come.

Thank you for your review, we do not understand why you did not let us know about the gentleman in the next room smoking dugs and speaking loudly on his phone? Drugs and smoking are not permitted in the hotel The whole hotel did not smell as we received no other complaints, and we would have smelt it and taken action We are sorry nobody was at reception in check out however we have checked out CCTV the you checked out and you did not wait at all but just left your key on the desk. We are deeply disappointed the you did not contact the hotel directly via the telephone /email or the feedback form you were sent as we could have offered you a personal apology or even compensation for our unhappy experience,

We got a special deal at a reduced price on a Deluxe Double Room at Mode which we had passed on many occasion and admired the balconies etc.
Pros: The hotel & room were spotless with quality furniture, flooring, towels and comfortable bed. The Continental breakfast provided was very tasty with smoked salmon, meats etc all of which were quality very fresh products and very enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Avoid room 5 at all cost, other rooms may be better I cannot comment, it was supposed to be a Deluxe Room which we challenged as it didn't have a balcony or even sea view instead it looked over back yards! I was informed these luxuries were for the Executive and Premium rooms only. The room was very small, only 1 chair which was squashed between the bed side table and the end of the dressing table so if we wished to have a coffee one of us had to sit on the bed there was no coffee table either. The bathroom was very small inasmuch as the toilet was so near the wall that you had to sit with the toilet roll & holder resting on your shoulder or under your armpit. Anyone over a size 14 could not sit forward on the toilet a man would hv to sit sideways. The noise was horrendous we had to listen to next doors TV, also showers and toilets, plus footsteps of the room above. The walls were very thin. The bed was not made by the cleaner either. There was 1 small bottle of hand sanitizer at reception and nobody including staff wore masks in the breakfast room. I am surprised that they are doing a buffet, other hotels are serving to the table because of Covid infection. We felt very uncomfortable. We appreciated it was a cheaper deal but I think it should have been described as a standard room and should not be described as deluxe and I wouldn't want other people dissapointed as we have experienced better in 3* hotels.

Thank you for your review, I can confirm that the room booked by yourself was a land view room and was not a seaview room., whcih may have been available for a suppliment, The bathroom is 5sq metres. I am sorry you were disturbed by other guests., however if you had called us we would have been more than happy to ask them to turn down the TV. It is no longer since July 19th a legal requiremnet for guests or staff to wear masks. I am sorry that you felt uncomforable. Mode breakfast has always been a buffet and not served to tables, however we would have been more than happy to serve breakfast to you on request. regards. Andrew

We booked our two night break through Living Social. It was a brilliant deal for two nights bed and breakfast. We upgraded to a sea view room for and extra £30 which brought the total cost to about £103. We chose this hotel as it was close to my cousin in StAnnes but I’m sure the Mode in Lytham will be just as good. The room was average size but well equipped with a comfortable bed , tea & coffee making facility, a nice size bathroom with a great shower and fluffy white towels. All areas of the hotel were immaculately clean. The bar is stylish and comfortable and the kind of bar we were happy to go back to for a nightcap. The buffet style continental breakfast was beautifully presented and had a wide variety including the usual cereals, smoked salmon, ham, salami and hard boiled eggs and lots lots more. Everything was replenished regularly so you were never disappointed. The staff were all pleasant and efficient, if there was anything you wanted you just had to ask. We will most certainly return to the Mode, it is a super hotel within walking distance of the beach and town centre. What’s not to like. Give it a try.

As we arrived early we nipped into the hotel to say we had arrived in Lytham and would check in later. We received a friendly greeting and the kind offer to park in the free car park whilst our room was being prepared. Pleased with the location we took a 5 minute walk into town noticing the beach opposite the hotel and Fairhaven Lake within sight. We were more than happy with Room 8 which had sea view and a small balcony . Adequate toiletries provided plus a coffee pod machine , kettle and generous selection of hot drinks , biscuits and bottles of water. Gin happy hour was a unique feature , guided by the staff who knew all the different gins on offer and chose one for me - I could have stayed longer. Breakfast was well planned with staff on hand to assist with hot drinks and replenish a welcoming variety of cereal , yogurt , fruit, various bread and cake plus cheese , meat . I couldn't have invented anything else. Staff were efficient and hard working . We wouldn't look round at anywhere else to stay and have recommended to friends / family.

My wife and I enjoyed a great two night stay at the Mode this week. We have stayed there several times and (as ever) the staff were all very helpful and the breakfast service/offer was good. We had booked the break through "Wowcher". However, we were able to take advantage of a late offer to pay for an upgrade to one of the sea-view rooms. This meant that (despite the time of year) we were able to see a glorious sunset from our balcony. As ever, the hotel was very clean and well furnished. Unfortunately, our evening meal booking with Restaurant 54 - who have a discount arrangement with the hotel - had to be cancelled at short notice due to an apparent equipment malfunction. However, a Trip Advisor search, backed up by the Hotel's evening receptionist, took us in the direction of the nearby Anatolia Sea View restaurant. The owner was a very genial host and the (Turkish style) meal was both of good quality and value.

Thank you for your kind review, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again in the future. With regards to parking, if we run out of spaces at the hotel there is a larger pay & display car park opposite the hotel, behind the cinema, pool and restaurant. The parking restrictions on the promenade are up to 2h between 8am and 6pm, so you can park there for free overnight from 4pm till 10am. We hope it helps!

I think it might work for you if you have a family room to give you space for the toddler. The only public spaces are the bar and the breakfast room. The continental selection has a good selection that suits children.
There are more places to choose from in the Lytham St Anne's area.
