Very comfortable room, looked after by Jo and Dave. Great breakfast and friendly local people. Great amenities close by, highly recommended and will be back. Beer is very reasonably priced in the well stocked bar.
The room was large but it was shabby with second hand mis-matched furniture and the bed was very low with a very thin mattress and certainly not luxurious. The ensuite looked new and was the best feature ,but again an old tired chest of drawers let it down. Hardly any storage space apart from a small wardrobe. Breakfast was in an un attractive basic dining room ,with no frills. The menu was very basic with little indication of what was on offer except the "Full English". One good point was there was gluten free bread and cereal.,but little choice for cereal or fruit ,a small but telling point was all the pepper pots were empty, making for a sense of general lack of enthusiasm felt on the running of the establishment reinforced by when asked each morning "anything want doing in your room". There was a lack of brochures /leaflets/timetables on the great attractions in the area ,so no indication the place was in the centre of a tourist destination. The only good things were its central location and free car park This should definitely be a budget option and cost less than it does.’…
Surprised to see some negative reviews. My family took two rooms for one night. Can’t fault it. Clean, comfortable and reception very obliging. By no means expensive. Next time I visit Lymington, I shall have no hesitation in booking rooms here. Very high marks from all in my party
A great guest house, although not too obvious as it is over the local conservative club, although this is by no means a down side. The room we had was comfortable, clean and airy, with a good shower/bathroom. The only downside, and it's small, is that it is right on the main road with pubs and takeaways near by, but this was not a problem for us, although England was playing their World Cup match that weekend. Perfect location for a few days stay to see the locality, and very handy for trips to The New Forest. Breakfast is freshly cooked, and it was enough for us until the mid afternoon. There are plenty of eateries nearby, whether you want a pizza or a full blown meal
Low bed which was very uncomfortable a cobweb hanging from the bathroom ceiling aprox 4 foot long. Room needed painting lots of cracks. Soundproofing urgently needed could hear everything outside even with windows and secondary glazing closed. Breakfast offered 8-30 till 9. Arrived 8-15 woman looked in disagreement as she inspected her watch. Decided to go to Wetherspoons instead and checked out. Never to return.
