I have stayed in many B&Bs over the years but I have to say ....
This is the BEST B&B I have EVER stayed in !!

Why ?

The location is great for visiting the New Forest as well as great coast places to visit.

The rooms are better quality than many hotel rooms I have stayed in.

Rooms are meticulously cleaned every day with loads of complimentary tea / coffee / biscuits.

The breakfast is outstanding!!

But most of all , and the main reason for my high recommendation is the service. Fraser and Maria are the owners and they simply couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great stay.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Highfield - it’s an outstanding B&B.

This is our eighth visit to Lymington and this is the best B&B so far. Fraser and Maria are excellent hosts. The accommodation is modern, spacious, clean and has everything you could need. Fraser & Maria are lovely and cook a mean breakfast, delicious. The B&B is a 10-minute stroll from town, ideal for making the most of Lymington and the surrounding areas. Fraser & Maria made sure we wanted for nothing and the rooms were well stocked with water, tea, shower gel, etc. Our children were made very welcome. We highly recommend 8 Highfield Boutique B&B and will be back.

We arrived to be met at the door by Fraser, the owner, who gave us such a warm welcome, like an old friend. Showed us to our room which was a lovely surprise, not only was it exceptionally clean and modern, they have thought of everything that a guest could want. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had a wet room in our room which was done to a very high standard, you couldn't fault it. We had dinner booked in a local restaurant and Fraser offered to drop us down there, nothing seemed too much trouble. Then there was breakfast, Maria met us for breakfast and was just as kind and hospitable as her husband Fraser, this is a real family affair. Breakfast was huge, certainly gave you a good start to the day and was very delicious, lots of choice. It is not all business with them they are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend a stay here and if down this way again would definitely book again.

Excellent, and 5 stars (the maximum) for Service, Location and Cleanliness. The Sixth Star is for the extra mile which owners Fraser and Maria go to for their customers in all respects. No need to repeat what has already been well said by other reviewers re the welcome, friendliness, comfort, decor, furnishings and the breakfast, but F and M work tirelessly to ensure that the occupants of all seven rooms have everything they need. Even the bathroom mirror in our room had an electric de-mister!

The bar has been set very high, it is becoming much sought after and this is reflected in their future bookings. We look forward to our next visit - if we can get in!

Stayed here for two nights, was most looked after by Fraser and his wife. Room was clean, modern and big. Great WiFi and telly has Netflix which is nice. Breakfast fantastic, fresh fruit, toast, cereal, tea, all different coffees, cooked breakfast. Great location just a small walk to various pubs, high street and the harbour.
We was supposed to be in Corfu so was a last min booking, we wasn’t disappointed! Weather was fantastic. We would suggest booking restaurants before you go like we did as we saw many people get turned away. Taxi from the hotel to harbour £3.50 or 15 min walk.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending 2 nights at Highfield recently. My partner and I agreed that this was one of the best B&B's we had both visited, and between us, there have been a few. The house itself is wonderfully modern, spotlessly clean, spacious, with all the amenities you could possibly wish for e.g. free wi-fi, smart TV, off road parking etc.) I feel we had an advantage being in the 'family room' which I imagine is bigger than other rooms, but we had oceans of space, a wet room en-suite, and all beautifully appointed. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order, and comprises the best and tastiest local produce, and is plentiful. I've never tasted better tomatoes!! And there are all the various options to the cooked version, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. But what really makes Highfield what it is are the owners. Fraser, Maria and Andrea are the most welcoming, accommodating and engaging of people, and you can clearly see that they love what they do. Sometimes it's the little things, e.g. my partner prefers decaff tea which we had ordered at breakfast, and hey presto, by the time we came back to our room, without asking, we had decaff tea. That's just an example of the type of customer service and attention you will receive here. An outstanding place run by outstanding people. Thank you all, we will definitely be back!! 5 star all the way!

Absolutely brilliant bed and breakfast in Lymington.

This was our fourth stay at Highfield and i really cannot recommend it enough.

The hosts , Fraser and Maria are just brilliant snd so welcoming. Their attention to detail is outstanding and their overall customer service is second to none.

The rooms are four star hotel quality and spotlessly clean. The king size double bed , which had recently been introduced, was so comfortable.

They had also put in a temporary air conditioning unit which meant a great nights sleep on the hottest day / night of the year.

The breakfast is to die for , everything really fresh and well cooked ( even the poached eggs 👍 ).

This really is an outstanding bed & breakfast , owned and run by outstanding hosts.

Go and stay there - you absolutely won’t be disappointed.

One tip - if you book direct on their website you get a 10% discount.

The location is also excellent and an easy five minute walk into the town centre and all the pubs and restaurants

I can sum up this Bed & Breakfast in one word "immaculate"
From the moment we pulled into the car park at Highfield Boutique Bed & Breakfast you could see the amount of hard work & effort that has gone into presenting the house.
A press of the Ring doorbell and we were greeted by Fraser who extended a very warm welcome, he talked us through the features of the house such as the electronic keys, automated lights and how to exit the hotel, we then went to our room (8) where we were more than pleasantly surprised by the size of our room & how well kept it was, the bed was huge and so comfortable and the bathroom again enormous with a fantastic shower. After unpacking we left to explore the area a little before our dinner reservation at The Elderflower, Fraser kindly offered us a lift to the restaurant but as it was a lovely evening we decided to walk.
We had a very peaceful night's sleep followed by a tasty full english breakfast, (sausages were lovely as were the poached eggs from the hens in the garden) we met Maria Frasers wife, again, very charming and helpful.
If you get a chance in the evening and the sun is shining, sit out on the Patio, we did just this Fraser & Maria were both there having a well deserved rest and we enjoyed a few sun downers with them chatting about the house, children & what we'd been up to that day, Fraser went to the kitchen and provided ice & Lemon for our gin and tonics and a bowl of olives, they make an amazing team and nothing is too much trouble for them, this is not a B&B, it's so much more than that.
There is no doubt that it if we are visiting the area again we will definitely stay at Highfield again.

From the minute we arrived at th4 Highfield we knew we were in for a great experience. We were greeted by Frazer by name and whilst we checked into our room, Maria made us a very welcome pot of tea which was served on their patio area.

Our room was lovely and clean and very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water at all times.

We were leaving the car here whilst we spent a few days on the Isle of Wight and Frazer kindly drove us to the ferry and collected us a few days later, which was a real help to us.

Breakfast was superb and cooked to our liking. Could not fault it.

Frazer, Maria and Frazer's sister were lovely, friendly and helpful and obviously take great pride in their establishment. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We stayed at the Highfield B&B for just one night as part of our anniversary getaway. It's a wow as soon as you see the house, as it's spectacular! It's described as a Boutique B&B and it certainly fits the description from top to bottom. From the ultra modern entrance to the beautiful spacious room. The bed is incredibly comfy and there are lovely chairs to sit in. We loved the wonderful rainfall shower with bath . Lots of lovely little touches, the tea & coffee tray with plenty of options to make everyone happy, including biscuits.. but not just any biscuits .....Border biscuits!!. Fraser and Maria were wonderful hosts, who make you feel immediately welcome, and clearly nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything extra. Breakfast was out of this world, best we've ever had!!! The location is perfect to walk in to town, quiet and away from the main road, with plenty of off street parking. This is truly gold level service, how they run their B&B is exactly how a B&B should be run! We loved it so much we have already booked to return for a longer stay next June!
