Went to Pakefield Caravan Park for the 1st time. It was nice and quiet and peaceful, just how we wanted it, hence booking out of season. Lovely, friendly staff, especially the bar and entertainment staff. Alex went above and beyond to make sure we were entertained, she even played family fortunes with us both as we both wanted to play but there was no one else about to join in. 5 stars all round for all the staff. Checking in and out was easy and quick. The caravan was situated near the reception which was good unfortunately it had trees over the back which on a couple of nights the branches hit the caravan a lot due to the wind, easy to solve though they just need trimming back. Inside the caravan itself was modern, had all the equipment and pots and pans/utensils anyone would need. Lots of space, beds were made up, cleanliness let it down massively. We were in a disabled access caravan which had a wet room, the floor was vile we went and bought bleach and cleaned it. The sofa area needed a deep clean, you could smell the dirt in the cushions. The microwave and bin lid needed a better clean. There were mucky handprints on the windows. And the outside needed a quick brush around the door. Easy solve get a new cleaner 😆
Would definitely recommend going to Pakefield Caravan Park and hopefully will go back again next year as long as the caravans are cleaner.

We came to Pakefield Holiday Park for a four night break in July. Our caravan was roomy, spotless and comfortable. I can't praise the staff here enough, helpful kind and friendly, especially Maria behind the bar who helped create an amazing atmosphere for the England Vs Germany game! It's quieter here than most holiday parks we have visited but to be honest it was absolutely perfect for us. The outdoor pool was always warm, the beach was a two minute walk away and we walked up to Lowestoft and back which was just lovely. Very accommodating to our dog, there's even a dog shower to use, helpful for sand removal! A great choice of shops minutes away including Aldi, Poundland, Morrisons and a McDonald's. I am already planning to come back later this year because we had such a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone that works here for creating a great place to bring your family to. We can't wait to return.

Thank you for your time in writing this wonderful review, we are pleased that you had a great stay here at the park. All the team works hard from the cleaners, maintenance to the bar staff and Maria who gave out the England capes and looked after you so well. The park is one of the most easterly in the UK and easy reach of local shops, supermarkets and some nice walks along the beach with some nice local pubs. Dont forget to take advantage of the book again offer and we look forward to see you again soon

This was our 1st trip away for 2 years and the first time we’ve ever done this type of holiday. Our 2 bedroom caravan was very well furnished with a very good shower indeed. Take what you need as there is no shop on site to speak of, just a shelf where you can get a few (very few!) basics. You are though within walking distance of Aldi plus a few other shops, and a MacDonalds. The park is adjacent to the cliff top where there are some lovely views and walks. It’s worth going to Pakefield Plaice and getting some fish and chips to eat from one of the benches looking out to sea.
We met up with friends in the clubhouse where Marie, Jo and Alex were so friendly. It was pretty quiet while we were there (weekdays during school time) but a bit of bingo and a quiz was still on offer each night. We made our own meals by and large so ate there just once on the first night as we didn’t fancy cooking or taking the car anywhere. The menu is very basic but I enjoyed my sausage and chips!
Downsides -not many, but the wifi was patchy at best and suggest take a fan if it’s hot. Also no separate bins for paper and cans which is surprising.
All in all this is a tidy and well kept site and we enjoyed using it as a base from which to explore nearby attractions.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your time here at Pakefield, there are some lovely walks along the beach and fantastic sunrises. We do have a little shop as there is a Aldi and Morrisons close to hand. We only have a little kitchen at present, so can only offer a limited menu. All our waste is sorted at the plant by our waste collectors. I will pass on your thanks to members of the team you mentioned. We look forward to see you again soon

Suitable for our requirements, though this Park is currently being upgraded and when finished, will be a place we will stay at again. For the price we paid (prices vary, according to your own requirements), we considered this to be 'good though economical'.

This ex-Pontins Holiday Park has had a good restoration and shows promise, so we have booked a return holiday next year. Although this holiday was a short midweek break, we are looking forward to returning next year when the upgrade is complete.

The self-catering was sufficiently organised and staff were friendly, and we were made to feel welcome. This was a '50's themed break, but there were posters advertising future events of varied themes, e.g. 70's, 80's, etc.. There is a local bus service which drops off on the main road, leaving a short walk of 100 metres or so! If you drive, plenty of parking available.

A couple of cafes and snack bars, in addition to a swimming pool, snooker and pool tables. There is also daily live entertainment and of course, bingo!

We have had an enjoyable stay here over the bank holiday weekend.
We booked via Booking.com for a two bedroom caravan as a family. Price was fairly cheap and seemed reasonable to use as a base so we could visit some of our favourite places in Suffolk. We have had a great weekend visiting Aldeburgh, Southwold, Framlingham and the surrounding areas.
The park itself is tidy and well maintained. It’s mostly fairly quiet though during the evenings there has been some noise from neighbouring guests and music, I suspect from the entertainment which we haven’t felt inclined to use.
The location has been good - it has been a joy to be so close to the sea and we have had some enjoyable walks down to Pakefield Beach with the dog. The beach down there is fabulously dog friendly and is scenic. We also stumbled across a sweet little coffee stop - “Deans Beans” which is well worth a visit if you’re looking for a nice coffee on your morning stroll.
The caravan itself has been comfortable enough with a warm, decent pressured shower and adequate space for us all. Unfortunately though it reeks of stale smoke and despite our efforts to keep windows open and a scented candle throughout our stay, each time we have returned to the caravan after being out, the smell has been unpleasant.
We rented a dog friendly caravan. The site is very dog friendly with good dog bin facilities. There has been no vacuum cleaner which would have been useful as our dog moults a lot!
There also wasn’t any bedding included so we had to pack sheets and duvets from home which wasn’t ideal. There is also a “no dogs allowed on the bed” rule which seems bizarre given we’ve used our own bedding?!
For the price we paid I suppose we weren’t expecting anything luxurious but the caravan itself has been a little disappointing and for that reason we won’t be returning.

We booked this site as we were visiting local family for the week and wanted a base. It is a nice clean site, the caravan was clean and the living area spacious. The pool is well kept and clean and tidy. Sometimes we couldn’t get a swimming slot which was disappointing especially as it wasn’t the summer holidays and the park was quiet.

Staff very friendly and welcoming, nice little park for the children and a few minutes walk onto pakefield beach.

Overall a pleasant stay. Some suggestions for improvements:

Having a shower mat in the bathroom in the caravan would have been extremely useful (floor just got soaking wet each time we got out of the shower), and also having some hooks on the back of the door to hang your towel would have been great.

Having pillow protectors would be more hygienic (it was just a pillow case on the pillow).

The entertainment for children could have been better. We understand it is a small site, but it would have been more engaging for the children if they could have been shown some of the dance moves at the disco rather than just watching them off a screen.

The drinks prices are quite high, we paid over £10 for one pint and two soft drinks!!

There was no children’s menu available when we ordered bar food…something which we would have expected from a family friendly site. It was explained to us about changing menus, but most of the items on the menu were not even available. The food quality is really poor and really pricey for what you get. We wouldn’t eat the food here again. Ended up having to pay for an adult meal for the children and was not offered the 2 for £20 deal when we had to swap a meal as one of our choices wasn’t available.

Myself and my family stayed at the park for 7 nights and I must say what a stay it was everything was absolutely amazing *****
Upon arrival the 1st thing you noticed was how clean and well maintained everything was , from the entrance to the park to all the venues everything was absolutely immaculate.

Check in was so easy and hassle free with Amanda and Rachel In reception just superb, so friendly and helpful , nothing was too much trouble.

The same theme continued with our caravan it was spotless, everything really clean , well laid out and everything you needed was provided , we actually met Sam during our stay who was the housekeepers that prepared our caravan and we must say she did an amazing job.

We ate at the park twice and both times we found the meals to be delicious, well prepared and of good value The entertainment on park was fantastic with Stuart and Jack going above and beyond providing excellent entertainment the quiz night was a particular favourite.

We enjoyed the outdoor pool every day and again the surroundings were immaculate. Our little lad to a shine to Kate the life guard who did a fantastic job with all the children and keeping them safe whilst ensuring they enjoyed themselves she was an absolute joy.

We had a fantastic holiday at a fantastic park and we have already booked again for next year. We can’t recommend this park and it’s team enough. Five stars

We’ve bought a static caravan on Pakefield and am waiting to be connected on chosen pitch. The process has been made smoother by the sales team, with Grace sales manager showing us round the park in torrential rain on a not so lovely day in August with nothing being too much trouble despite the rain. She is also kindly arranging installation of the caravans balcony inclusive in price. James general manager went through all the Ts and Cs in detail and with patience and has responded in a helpful and timely manner to queries. Joe senior sales advisor has been amazing and is an asset to the Pakefield team. He was able to understand our needs and find us a perfect caravan and choice of pitches in line with our requirements virtually immediately and has guided us every step of the way through a process that is new to us and at times a bit daunting.
We look forward to being on the Park which is extremely well-kept and friendly with direct beach access and central to locations such as Southwold, Lowestoft and Yarmouth. We hope owning a holiday home will give us a greater quality of life and from our experience so far we would highly recommend buying or renting on Pakefield.

Lovely laid back quiet caravan park, close to the beach. Nice walk into Lowesoft and we enjoyed a beautiful Sunday roast at local pub Oldfellows I think it was called. Nice trip to Southwold and Norwich. We had a brilliant meal at the Smoke House restaurant and a boat trip at Ulton Broad. My son enjoyed the outdoor pool and playing pool in the bar. Come prepared no food onsite until 5pm when the bar opens and then only serving pizzas. No shop onsite but the reception has a few essentials. The bar was ok but I was charged £7 for a mini bottle of fizz that was warm off the shelf - my fault really I should have refused and chosen something else chilled. Caravan was very clean and spacious. Bed could do with mattress protection and pillow protectors. Remember to bring a shower mat for wet feet.
Overall a lovely, quiet, well looked after park in a nice location. We used the fast broadband only £15 for the week a godsend with a teenager. If you like the hustle and bustle of a busy park this is not for you.

We really enjoyed our holiday. It’s unbelievable how close the site is to the beach. And The young lad Raife who I called Ralph most of the holiday until the last day doing the quiz’s was so funny and then when he sang me and my husband were blown away. It’s good that the quiz’s were free and the prizes were high value like the bar voucher we won. Very good entertainment. We also were impressed with interaction we received off the lifeguard I think was called lochlan at the pool. The caravan was lovely. And we will be returning. Can’t wait.
