My family (Mum, dad & 2 siblings) decided to come up from London to visit me for my birthday and had found this hotel online & fell in love with it. I called 2 weeks in advance to book and spoke to Kerry, explaining we are 5 adults and all wanted to stay in one room if possible (Hadn’t spent time all together as a family in a very long time & so wanted to recreate our fav thing to do when we were younger, slumber party in the parents room!) Kerry explained the best way for us to save money when booking and said she’ll arrange the room as best as possible for 5 adults. Same day we are due to stay at the hotel diva sibling decides she’d prefer a separate room to parents so we can stay up later etc etc. Called Kerry to apologise for inconvenience and ask if possible at such short notice, no answer so left a vm, Kerry called back in no time to advise it’s no bother she has arranged for us to have 2 rooms and all ok for that night. I arrived first, easy to find, ample parking space. Kerry explained how things work, where we were staying, what time breakfast is, do I need wifi password etc etc. Great introduction, I was left with no questions and knew exactly what to do & when. The rooms were great! Loads of space, bathrooms are lush, beds are divine & so nice and warm! First breakfast we all went for a full English breakfast and omg it was so delicious, you could tell they had used quality, fresh ingredients! Black pudding was good, we just aren’t bp fans so kindly asked for none the next day but Kerry had already decided she weren’t going to cook any! That was honestly so nice and showed she was paying attention to us as guests and really made us feel looked after! Plenty of bread to toast (Dad was incredibly impressed by this and proceeded to toast and eat it all, sorry!) and loads of drink options available. Next day my mum tried the porridge and was worried about portion size as sometimes they give you a bear sized portion but it came out and was just right, there was honey, jam, Nutella all of it! We went out and I decided to show Southwold off as less than a 20min drive there! After a day out we came back quite late to chill before heading out to dinner, room had been cleaned and sorted, all tea/ coffee etc had been refilled. Which was nice as there were a lot of us and we had already used up the day before a stuff! Overall a brilliant stay and would recommend to everyone I know, don’t get me wrong this isn’t the most amazing hotel ever but due to the amazing service from Kerry and all the other staff it really did feel to me like it was the most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Thank you!

The Coach House Manor re-opened a couple of weeks ago and is definitely going to be a gem in the Suffolk countryside. The property is situated just a short drive to the Suffolk and Norfolk coastline, and offers the ideal location for people who want to enjoy everything the area has to offer without being in the thick of it.

The property offers a relaxing, boutique hotel vibe and real care has been taken to offer an attentive but not intrusive service - and they do it brilliantly.

Our room offered a tonne of space (perfect for a couple that might need a little separation after a five hour drive!), a really comfortable large bed and lovely views over the front of the property. The ensuite bathroom was more the adequate for what we needed, with a great shower to wash off the salt and sand after dip in the sea!

A real credit has to go to Lauren who has such a passion for the Coach House Manor and made us feel so welcome. This beautiful hotel will have loads to offer in the coming months and we’re looking forward to coming back and enjoying an afternoon tea in the future.

We chose Lowestoft as a good base for exploring the coast and I have to say that this hotel was easily the nicest hospitality venue we saw in the Lowestoft area. The hotel has just reopened after being closed for two years and the new team have done a lovely job in giving it a luxurious, boutique hotel feel. The building is lovely - all high ceilings and period features and there is a substantial garden to relax in when the weather is good. During our visit, a pair of ducks with a cute gang of chicks were taking advantage of the outdoor space.

Our room was huge with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything was exceptionally clean and the staff were lovely; their enthusiasm for the new venture was infectious which bodes well for the future of the business. The food menu is fairly limited at the moment, although the sharing dishes and sandwhiches we tried were freshly made and good value. The Bell Inn, which has a terrific restaurant, is ten minutes walk across the fields if you want something more substantial or more choice. The only suggestion I would make is that the hot buffet breakfast is not such a great idea since eveything spends too long on the hotplate. If I were running the place, I would be tempted to just keep the continental style cold breakfast buffet and not bother with the hot options. This is a quibble, however, since the fact that they include breakfast in the price makes the hotel very good value.
I think it's fair to say that there are limited options for food and accommodation in Lowestoft and the Coach House is a little oasis in a desert of mediocrity.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a longer break away from home. We had a very positive experience and will definitely be staying again. All staff were helpful and friendly. We did have an issue with the first room we were given which we reported and it was dealt with immediately.
We were very impressed with how comfortable the room was and everything we could possibly need was provided. Housekeeping went in every day to tidy and replenish. We had our dog with us and being a pet friendly hotel was the main reason we chose to stay here. Regardless of this, all areas of the hotel were very clean and no traces were found of any previous pets having been in the room or dining areas. We also liked how families with pets were seated in separate areas when dining, as this then didn’t create any discomfort or concern for other guests who didn’t have pets. The level of service was still just as good!
The breakfast was very good and lots of options were available as well as the buffet. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening with family and the food was very nice then also.
We spoke with the owner on a few occasions who informed us that the hotel is currently undergoing renovation work. Despite this, the hotel was presented immaculately with no disruptions to our stay whatsoever.
We are looking forward to going back again soon and potentially hosting our wedding reception here!

We booked the lounge at The Coach House for the wake of my dad for 18 people. Reece was very accommodating with requests for the menu and seating arrangements for the day. The room was beautifully presented; coffee, tea and bar drinks readily available on arrival. The food was superbly cooked, good portions and well presented; more tea and coffee arrived as requested after the meal. Service was attentive, and nothing too much trouble. The family and guests were very complimentary throughout. Would highly recommend.

A simply perfect visit

Staying here on business. I’ve booked a two night stay through our company portal as this was a better price than the local Premier Inn and Travelodge and included breakfast.

On arrival I was greeted with a pleasant welcome from a gentleman who promptly checked me in and showed me to the staircase.

I got the Manor room. This room was simply amazing a large room overlooking the front of the hotel with a four poster bed, Jacuzzi bath, large desk, large TV, sofa and perfect Wi-Fi.

The hotel has a really boutique feel around it with lots of artwork and contemporary finishes.

It is immaculately clean to a high standard in all areas, however some details in the bathroom were showing signs of the local hard water.

The first night I chose to dine out but did work downstairs in the bar where all the staff were really pleasant and more than helpful.

A perfect night sleep was followed by a really lovely breakfast. The same gentleman that checked me in was on hand to serve and again was polite, attentive and make sure everyone was looked after during breakfast. Plenty of choice and fresh local ingredients.

The following night I worked from the bar and also dined in the restaurant. Food was sensational, good size portions and is definitely a hit with the locals.

All the staff are polite, friendly and professional. The two guys who were on the bar made sure all the guest needs and requests were accommodated for and made great conversation with many.

A perfect night sleep again and an early start meant I did not have breakfast on the second morning.

A prompt check out on final day, with the same guys who were working the evening, wished a good day, and have a good Christmas made me smile and chuckle.

A true gem of a hotel, that’s keeps its guests satisfaction at the heart of what they do.

Please keep up the amazing work and ensure my review is shared with the team!

We found this delightful hotel on Booking.com and as we have never stayed in Suffolk before we thought we would give it a go. This hotel is under new ownership and has only been open for a few months. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Lauren, the hotel's new manager, who booked us in and showed us to our room (nice touch). Our room was spotlessly clean, plenty of storage space (not often find in hotels these days!), the bathroom was small with a shower but again spotless. (Who needs a big bathroom anyway!). Lovely big fluffy towels, Tea and coffee facitities, two types of pillows, wifi, tv . Hairdryer. Everything so far excellent.
The bar next.... where we met Reece. This new bar and catering manager has oodles of enthusiasm, great customer service and makes a perfect Margarita! What a credit this young man is to the hotel.
We ate out on our first night at The Bell, about a 5 min drive. Good food.
Breakfast the next morning was a mixture of cold buffet with croissants, toast and juices. (It would be lovely if there was some cereals on offer too). The full English looked amazing, but we opted for poached eggs and bacon, these arrived perfectly cooked and hot!
That night we ate in the hotel bar. Ribs and sirloin with chips and all the trimmings. Gorgeous!
All in all our trip to this hotel was made perfect by its staff. Lauren is perfect as hotel manager, and is clear that she has a great team behind her. So a big thank you to her, Josh and Reece , we hope to come back to see you soon.

Hello Dave and Paula, We are so delighted to hear that you chose to stay with us for your Anniversary weekend and your first venture down to Suffolk! I will make sure to pass on all of the praise to the team regarding your welcome and room. We try to ensure that all rooms are kept at a high standard and it is amazing to hear when this is noticed. We have worked hard to get our bar up and running to the standard that we wanted. Reece has certainly got enough enthusiasm and knowledge to provide those perfect cocktails to our guests! I will pass the praise for breakfast and dinner to our chefs as well! We are very happy to hear that our food is going down so well with guests . We hope to see you again, The Coach House Team

We had a recent overnight stay at this property. There is definitely a wow factor when you arrive at the Coach House. Gorgeous looking hotel.
The hotel and bedrooms are immaculately clean. We were shown to our room by one of our wonderful hosts. The room was an unexpected surprise, as we had a separate sitting room complete with leather sofa, TV etc, which proved useful for my insomniac husband! The room was supplied with ample tea, coffee, cookies and usual shower gel and so on. I could not fault the room.
The bar area was very welcoming, as were our hosts and the Manager. We had an evening meal which was delicious. And on our return from an evening out, the bar was still open and we were able to have a night cap In the presence of our hosts and some other guests. Very good atmosphere. Nothing seemed too much trouble, even given the late hour.
The breakfast was sumptuous and we could not manage to do it justice! Freshly cooked and all very tasty. My only suggestion would be to ask guests if they would like a small or large portion as there was two of everything! But really was excellent and good choice.
We had to change our hotel booking in favour of the Coach House as it was nearer to our venue. I was so glad we stayed here, and not only would I thoroughly recommend it, but definitely stay again. Very good value for money in a wonderful hotel in a marvellous setting. Thank you.

We stayed for a short break on a Travelzoo voucher. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of choices to please all tastes. We were greeted each morning with an offer of tea or coffee and the breakfasts were served promptly, although within a time-span which clearly indicated that they had been cooked freshly. We upgraded to the superior room, which had a four poster bed and settee and was a very good sized room, tastefully decorated and supplied with tea, coffee, water etc. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath with excellent shower over. The hotel has obviously recently had a face-lift and is tastefully decorated throughout. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent location for visiting Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, Kirkley, Pakefield, Great Yarmouth, Southwold. Large free car park and quite setting. Garden seating and outdoor walks around the site.

Very helpful and friendly staff. When we booked in we were not totally happy with the room as it was a family room we had stayed in before, and although OK, not ideal for us. The young lady on reception could not have been more helpful, taking us to look at another room as an option. This was perfect for us and so we settled on that one. Ground floor, quiet corner of the building with large room bedroom and bright and airy bathroom. The evening meal was top-notch and breakfast was very generous and the best eggs Benedict I’ve had. If you are into old trams, the transport museum is a very short walk away. The bar and restaurant areas are very, very comfortable for a drink, or meal. The cost to stay is relatively low for such a well run and classy hotel
