This was our first outing in the caravan for this year over the bank holiday weekend. Lovely site, everyone so friendly and helpful, as we are real novices. Pitches are well spaced out and grounds very well kept. Toilets open (showers not at the moment due to covid restrictions). All facilities spotless and regularly cleaned. Lovely bar area (outside at the moment). Hospitality great and good prices. Just love the chickens roaming, as we have chickens ourselves and Dave, the tame dove. We will return.
Very well run, all Covid measures in place. Very clean facilities . Well spaced pitches with a large lawn area for each pitch . Lovely couple who work very hard to ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay . The on site bar was lovely for an evening drink . The surrounding beaches are fabulous . Perfect .
We were looking forward to visiting this site having read the previous generally positive reviews, but were very disappointed as it didn't work for us. PROS A small, adult only, well maintained site. Toilet and shower facilities very good and kept spotlessly clean. (Showers are ‘10-15 second push button’ which we'd rather not have). CONS We were a group of 3 adults and this is the most expensive site we’ve ever seen / visited. The standard pitch fee is £30 which includes 2 adults, understandably each additional adult is then chargeable but at £15 per person / per night makes the overall cost unreasonable for any site, particularly one such as this. N.B. This DOES NOT include electricity used which is charged separately making it almost £50 per night. (Having checked, To be fair, the tariff is clear on the Jaydene website however I made the booking via telephone / email where items for which there was no additional charge were listed (wi-fi, awning etc), but no mention of additional adults). I’m presuming the VAT reduction of 20% to 5% is not being passed on to customers at these rates. The second main issue is that this is a very noisy site. It is on the main A12 approach to Lowestoft between two roundabouts, hence a constant sound of high speed traffic makes for a not very peaceful time, particularly if sitting outdoors. Crossing the main road in order to walk to the beach is quite dangerous. Somewhat less of an issue but maybe important to some, whilst the cockerels and chickens are nice to see roaming around the site, they are not welcome when they start crowing at 5.30am! We’ll not be returning and when in the area again will try the close by Heathland Beach Caravan Park which we came across when walking to the coast. About half a mile away, it has a lovely touring area, in a much quieter location with direct access to the beautiful beach, and is about half the price.…
Wow, well stay here and you will find a small very friendly park, spotlessly clean shower and toilet facilities . Sue and Peter are so welcoming and to add to the pleasure of staying on a lovely site they have an outside bar to meet and chat to fellow campers.
Had a wonderful break away. This site is great and very well run. Close enough to ride into Lowestoft on bikes and beaches. Site has a cute little bar where you can enjoy a drink and a game of pool. We will be returning next August
