We visited Jaydene totally by accident having cancelled our stay at the local Kessingland CCC site due to their inability to get their toilets and showers opened. However, their loss was certainly our gain. Having called up on the off chance we were able to secure the last pitch.
On arrival at the site it became instantly clear that we had found a gem. Pulling onto the beautifully presented house it is only when you go through the yard that the site opens up. The pitches were generous, swallowing up our 8 meter twin axle. With each of the 12 pitches on very nice, shale covered, hard standing bases and a very generous grassed area between each. The site was spotless with 16 amp electrics within easy reach. The water was similarly easy to access. Five free range chickens added to the ambiance.
The owners, Sue and Pete, had put a great deal of thought into their bio-security measures. The facilities were spotless and safe. Having purchased a sterilising fogging machine ensured this was as Covid safe as possible. Copious hand sanitisers were left out at all communal areas too.
Whilst the site was superb it still had more to offer, Sue and Pete have built a fantastic bar facility which, with pool table, jukebox and a fully stocked bar would be the envy of any site.
Sue and Pete are fantastic hosts and present as a friendly and helpful team. This, coupled with the adult only set up, made for a great few days. We will certainly be visiting again when in the area.

Stayed at Jaydene for 11 nights in August 2022. The site is very clean, pitches are spacious and well kept and the site is within 1/2 mile of local amenities. The site is situated on the A12 but road noise is not obtrusive. Toilets and showers are very clean and electric is charged extra we payed around £1.80 per day. Owners are very friendly and helpful and there is an amazing bar with free pool table on site. We had fantastic weather so a really nice campsite was the cherry on the top. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We were novices when we pulled onto the site, and right from the start Sue & Pete made us feel so welcome.
The site is immaculate and so handy, Morrisons short walk and the beech a short drive.
The cleanliness of the site is second to none everything well laid out and well signposted, we really did feel very safe.
To top it all off Pete played 'mean host' at the on site pub, with a great mixture of great chat and drink, it really was such a delightful stay, the only downside was we had to leave.
We will be returning as soon as all this Covid madness is over, so 'get em in Pete'...
I can't recommend this site higher

We were looking forward to visiting this site having read the previous generally positive reviews, but were very disappointed as it didn't work for us.

PROS

A small, adult only, well maintained site.

Toilet and shower facilities very good and kept spotlessly clean. (Showers are ‘10-15 second push button’ which we'd rather not have).

CONS

We were a group of 3 adults and this is the most expensive site we’ve ever seen / visited. The standard pitch fee is £30 which includes 2 adults, understandably each additional adult is then chargeable but at £15 per person / per night makes the overall cost unreasonable for any site, particularly one such as this. N.B. This DOES NOT include electricity used which is charged separately making it almost £50 per night.

(Having checked, To be fair, the tariff is clear on the Jaydene website however I made the booking via telephone / email where items for which there was no additional charge were listed (wi-fi, awning etc), but no mention of additional adults). I’m presuming the VAT reduction of 20% to 5% is not being passed on to customers at these rates.

The second main issue is that this is a very noisy site. It is on the main A12 approach to Lowestoft between two roundabouts, hence a constant sound of high speed traffic makes for a not very peaceful time, particularly if sitting outdoors. Crossing the main road in order to walk to the beach is quite dangerous.

Somewhat less of an issue but maybe important to some, whilst the cockerels and chickens are nice to see roaming around the site, they are not welcome when they start crowing at 5.30am!

We’ll not be returning and when in the area again will try the close by Heathland Beach Caravan Park which we came across when walking to the coast. About half a mile away, it has a lovely touring area, in a much quieter location with direct access to the beautiful beach, and is about half the price.

Thank you for your review. Shower facilities. We are pleased that you found them clean and spotless. It would have been more helpful had you let us know that they were not running long enough for you as we would have tried to adjust to suit your stay. Previous experience has shown that some people feel it is ok to leave the facility and keep them running, hence the need to change. The prices stated on our website are clear that the pitch cost per night is based on 2 adults and additional guests at £15 per night. Had you mentioned that you were a party of 3 when you called, we would have given you this information for you decide if you wished to confirm. The electric hook up is based on what YOU use and a refund given on the balance of your 3 night stay when you leave which was given to you, this would have been explained when you called. We don't charge for Awing's, WIFI or shower facilities that are used. We would love to offer a discount of 5%- 25% discount for each booking but as a small independent touring caravan park, It is not possible, unlike bigger sites, hotels etc A12 traffic. We have been working hard with our local MP and Suffolk Traffic department for sometime now regarding the speed/noise on the A12 London Road stretch near the touring park to reduce speed limits. Which has increased since 4th July once the lockdown was lifted. To this end, a survey will be commencing on 11th October to monitor this issue, including the safety of pedestrians crossing the road along the length of London Road to the Morrisons roundabout. The Brazilian game show birds have the freedom to roam and as a rule, do not upset guests, even the Cockerel, we appreciate that some guests aren't keen on them but they are part of the park. Heathland park is a lovely site and when we have no capacity, we always recommend them, as they do with us When guests are here, we want them to enjoy there stay, but are aware that sometimes, It's not possible to please everyone. Even the mention of your loud music did not deter other guests from enjoying there stay. I hope this response has managed to explain some of your concerns regarding your stay. Kind regards Sue & Pete

Just coming to the end of a 12 night stay, we arrived on Good Friday. Jaydene is an exceptional touring site with its immaculately maintained gardens and pitches, the toilet and showering facilities are cleaned every day and the whole site is maintained to an extremely high standard it really has been a pleasure to stay here.

Peter and Andrea are such helpful and welcoming hosts and no enquiry is to much trouble for them.

Being an adults only site we have thoroughly enjoyed the peace and calm of the surroundings even when the site was full over the Easter weekend. It is definitely a site that attracts returning guests as well as newcomers who are resectful towards each other.

We have already booked to come back again in July 2022.

We are certain Jaydene will become one of our regular holiday spots.

What a great find!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The whole site was immaculately maintained, shower and toilet block included. The hardstanding pitches were really well spaced allowing plenty of room for awnings if required.

Peter was an exceptional host, so welcoming and friendly. The small, comfy bar turned out to be a super place for catching up with others on site during the evenings.

We loved it and will definitely be back......soon.

Stayed for 3 nights. And all I can say is wow what a lovely site. They are so accommodating Peter and Sue are lovely people that just want you to enjoy your stay. Facilities are spotless added bonus of a washing machine and dryer. Showers was a perfect temperature and the bar is a added gem. For £30 a night you definitely get your monies worth. The chickens are so tame and used to contact from humans they ate from our hand. If I had found this place before I would most definitely have stayed longer. 💕💕 thank you Peter and sue for making our stay special x x x

I think we knew the moment when we set up that we had picked the perfect site. The pitches are a good size, the grounds are very well kept , and we just loved the chickens roaming around Dave the dove keeping us entertained !
The toilets, showers and laundry room are immaculate. There’s a small bar open at weekends.
Morrisons and Aldi are only a 15 minute walk away and there’s a beautiful beach just 10 minutes walk across the road. ( heaven ! )
There’s a bus top right outside so that you can explore the beautiful coastal towns on either end .
Andrea and Pete are very friendly and welcoming and willing to help out in any way they can.
We had such a lovely time that we have rebooked for next year !

This adults only campsite on the outskirts of Lowestoft was ideal for us. The property takes only 12 units of motorhome/campervan or caravan. Each pitch has hard standing with an area of lawn to one side and behind. The toilets etc were enough for the numbers and were spotlessly clean. The free showers were nicely warm. Shops are a few minutes away and there is an easy walk to the local beach.
Sue and Pete the owners were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed the company of there assorted chickens.
The whole experience was one of peace and tranquility.

We have just spent a week at Jaydene Touring Park.Peter and Andrea run a first class site . Pitches are well kept, flat and a generous size . Toilets and showers kept spotlessly clean . We loved the hens roaming around.Electric is metered and the cost for a week was very reasonable. A bar on site which is open over the weekends .
Easy access to the site , bus stops outside to take you to Lowestoft and beyond other side of the road you can catch the bus to Southwold. Morrssons supermarket and more a 10 minute walk away .Andrea has great local knowledge and was always happy to help.
We will definitely return..
