Having decided at short notice to try here for a night - I was greeted firstly on the phone then in person by courteous and friendly staff. The service and restaurant was certainly up to scratch as well. Overall a great place to stay & eat :)

The room was clean and furnished in a traditional but modern style with the furnishings in good condition. The bathroom was modern and the shower had good water pressure. The towels were warmed and dried on a heated towel rail. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We met with some friends for dinner. We'd booked our table for 8pm and had to ask several times to go to our table. Finally at 8.30 we were seated. I wouldn't mind if it was busy, but the hotel was empty and only 3 tables full. The service was awful. Really slow. Quite comical. I thought at times we...

Went for lunch with my son's girlfriend and my 3 year old grandaughter and 1 year old grandson. Told no kids menu as menu was being re-done, so had to share our food with them! Bar man very unhelpful. Waited 40 minutes for two burgers. Barman disappeared when we wanted to pay the bill, and apparently no other staff were...

Stayed for a night as we were at a wedding. The event was great, went really well. But the room was pretty ropey. It was an executive room, external spacious, in theory. Felt smaller than a Travelodge room. The heating took two trips to reception to achieve a temperature above "fridge". The bathroom was small and clean, but remained Arctic...

Just had an amazing Sunday lunch at this hotel. Delicious food, cooked to perfection, piping hot and professionally presented. Also polite and courteous waitress. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Beautiful grounds too. Sadly didn't have an overnight stay but I imagine it would be as wonderful as the food.

*Great experience* I purchased a voucher for afternoon tea with prosecco for a treat for my friends birthday. I rang to book and the receptionist was very helpful even changed dates and they were very accommodating. When we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and were prompt at getting us seated and were given lots of help with...

Overnight stay for a 21st party being held here. First impression was wow - really lovely building in spacious grounds. Check in was easy, fuss free & room was large, well equipped & big comfy double bed. What lets this place down is the lack of attention to detail, and no clear idea of management which is a shame as...

This hotel needs upgrading. The bathroom is clean but shabby and there is blackness ingrained in the sealant. The room itself is spacious, the bed is comfortable and big. There is ample storage and tea-making facilities. The room was very quiet and they do warn that weddings/parties can be noisy but I lucky travelling mid week. However, the lighting system...

I don't know how this hotel is still going. It has so much potential yet fails miserably to reach it. Quorn is a pretty village and the hotel is in nice grounds but the hotel falls well below expectations. When we arrived there were full black bin liners stacked up behind the reception area which didn't make a good first...
