I'd a 2 night mid-week stay in early July and only paid £55.23 Got a pleasant welcome at check-in and as requested, was given a rear facing room with a view of the canal basin. The bed was comfy and the pillows deep and being warm weather, the bed was made up with a sheet, the duvet being rolled up in a bag if required. The bathroom was clean and smart, although the hand soap dispenser appeared to be full, yet wouldn't dispense anything. My 2nd night's sleep was disturbed by excited younger guests the worse for wear after watching England beat Denmark on the telly. Sadly none of the sanitiser stations around the hotel had anything in them for the entire duration of my stay. If arriving by train, factor in 1 5/20 minute walk between the station and the hotel. National Express coaches stop round the corner outside Wetherspoons. I found the town a pleasure to visit and would happily return to explore further.

In the centre of town, but paid for a business room on a quiet floor, overlooking the canal. Was comfortable, clean, and good value for an overnight stay. Pre-booking parking at Sainsbury's jus over the road is recommended and the cheapest option. Note: no restaurant for breakfast, but other options close by.

We were quite worried about staying at a hotel due to the covid pandemic. We explained on check in about our concerns going away especially with the children and the manager she explained all the extra measures and cleaning that they are doing to keep everyone safe which put our mind at ease instantly. It was very reasuring to see all the social distancing all around the hotel and everytime we went out you would always find a member of staff cleaning.

We were really concerned about going away and the staff couldn't have done anymore to put our mind at ease. We wouldn't book anywhere else other than a Traveloge now after our stay

I used the hotel while attending a conference in Loughborough but I had my worst experience. All the services paid for (internet, breakfast) were not available, cleanliness is definitely below average and unfortunately the reception claimed they could not help because they are not in control. The internet I paid for during my booking is so weak to even have a zoom call not to even mention that it's only meant for two devices and you can't logout from one. For the breakfast, that's total disaster, I paid for 3 nights and no breakfast was available. Finally, I requested for my room to be cleaned but to my surprise, I was told that they don't clean guests room until they have left or after 7 nights which is absurd. In summary, the 3 nights I spent at Travelodge is my worst hotel experience and I think they need to do better. Obviously, with this type of experience, I am never going to use the hotel again and I won't recommend it to anyone.

Manisha was the first person we met when we arrived at the hotel and she was extremely helpful.

She offered me a deaf alert (fire alarm for deaf people) if needed and extra towels on request.

Our room was very clean, tidy and without odor. There was no disturbances which meant my wife could sleep well and the curtains blocked out the street lighting as our room faced a busy street.

Sadly the hotel does not come with a lounge area nor a breakfast area. The breakfast available to purchase was not suitable for our dietary requirements.

My main problem with the hotel is that less than 10 miles away from the hotel, another in the same chain cost half the price and I was quite annoyed with this.

I stayed in Loughborough 2 nights for a short break to reunite with 2 friends following the Covid lockdown.

I normally stay at Premier Inn but as my friends had a dog with them I had to use Travelodge instead.

The front of the building overlooks a busy main road but I asked for and got a nice high floor room overlooking the canal basin at the rear. In fact with the window closed there was very little noise even from the student residences next door and I slept very soundly.

Everything was very clean and new despite the no frills policy of this chain.

It was only 5 minutes walk in a straight line to the town centre with good pubs and restaurants nearby. My friends found the retail park opposite a safe and well lit place for their car.

Would consider again the next time I visit Loughborough.

We stayed at Loughborough Travelodge to visit family in the area. Clean, comfortable, great location. We parked at The Rushes overnight, ticket validated at reception and discounted to £9. Ralph was very welcoming and informative. Felt safe with the Covid measures. Would recommend for a good value stay.

Had three nights here, it was perfect. There is a Wetherspoon's within a three minute walk for breakfast and evening meal (other eating establishments are available) which suited us. The Travelodge has a deal with the very nearby, less than 3 minutes walk, NCP carpark so a 24hrs charge of £12 is reduced to £9. The room was spotless and tidy. Thoroughly recommended

Where do I start…
the Toilet continuously flushed with water throughout the duration of my stay and the button to flush the toilet just about worked.
the lock on the bathroom door was broken and never stayed closed, the paint on bathroom door was scratched off both sides.
The Shower curtain was filthy.

I requested clean towels, the tea and coffee to be refilled and toilet paper rolls and never got them.
on the third day of my stay after I finished work I returned to my room to find I still had no clean towels, tea& coffee or toilet paper. And the dirty towels was still in the room.
At 1.30 am I had to go to reception and get clean towels.
For three days running morning and night I request all of the items I needed, with the manager of the Loughborough hotel and other staff. The manager said she was very sorry and would sort it.
but still I had to ask more after that.

The cleaners are definitely not doing their job at this hotel. behind the bathroom door was absolutely filthy, the carpet and underneath the beds was in an atrocious state.
My daughter wouldn’t walk across the room without her shoes on because the carpet was in such a bad state

I definitely would not stop in the Travelodge at Loughborough ever again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
I did ask the manager was there anything she could do and she said she would get in touch with management.
I would have never booked this hotel for me and my family if I had of known of the poor service and quality of your hotel.

If I could rate this hotel as a minus, I would. Unfortunately zero is the lowest I can get.

I love Travelodges. Being autistic, I appreciate that they are always the same. I know what to expect, and the ones I have stayed in have always been to a high standard. However, the Travelodge at Loughborough Central was not and, after travelling on three trains to get there, it caused some stress and upsetment.

There was no duvet on the bed, just a sheet. An empty duvet case had been put on the bed as a bottom sheet and the bottom sheet had been put over the top as a cover. In the corner of the room was a big bag in which the duvet was in, with a dirty duvet case on.

Luckily, my wife worked as a housekeeper in hotels and managed to strip the bed and remake it to a high standard but she shouldn't have had to do that.
We also had to ask for more towels and toilet roll as we had only been left with half a roll.

We put the dirty bedding outside the door and the man from the front desk apologised and said that shouldn't have happened. But no compensation was offered. My wife said she would have been fired for leaving a hotel room in that condition.

Does this hotel have parking included? If not where would you park and is it safe?
Loughborough, United Kingdom
No this hotel does not have parking, but you can get a discount rate of £9.00 for 24hrs at The Rushes, Loughborough, LE11 5BG . It has gates which close at 12 PM and open again at 6 AM Just pop your ticket into the machine at hotel reception and it will give you the reduced rate when you pay at the NCP , if you are contactless you can pay and receive a receipt at the barrier. I hope this helps.
