Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very welcoming let me check in very early so I could get ready for a wedding. Room was great and just what I needed for a single nights stay. I was a bit upset that there was no mention on breakfast and it wasn't offered on check in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THOUGH! Thankyou very much. Chris.

What a lovely place to stay. Trish the host is very accommodating and provided us with taxi numbers and information on the area. There is a great pub around the corner called The White Lion - they do a quiz on a Wednesday night. Comfortable, quiet room with tea and coffee facilities. Would love to return when back in the area. Although there is no breakfast at the moment there is a fantastic coffee shop in East Leake called Bryer’s which was recommended. Thanks for a great stay!

An ideal place for a short stay surrounded by stunning countryside. The service from Trish, in particular, was excellent. We were also contacted beforehand to ensure we had the ideal room for our stay. Would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Had a lovely 2 nights.I stayed in a double en-suite which was lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. Patricia was a lovely host and the dining area had every amenity so that I could warm my food and eat it whilst watching t.v. Overall a lovely place in a great spot and would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Beautiful setting in a peaceful and welcoming village. The service from Trish was perfect, she made contact before arrival and checking in was easy. There was parking available in front of the guesthouse and ample parking in the village when the car park was full. I highly recommend a visit to the White Lion! A lovely little pub owned by the villagers only a stone throw away, serving perfect real ale, lovely staff and great atmosphere. The guesthouse was very comfy and had everything I needed for a few nights when working in the area and for leisure time in the evenings. Great links to Loughborough and Melton Mowbray only a short drive away. Will definitely be back!

Landlady was lovely, but overall I was a little disappointed with my stay here, being my first ever in a B&B (always used hotels before). If Ii had to summarise my stay in a few words, I would say it was like stopping over at my mum's for one night! Home-from-home atmosphere, slightly dated interior and furnishings; if that's what you're after then this is the place for you! having tried a B&B now, I would rather stay in a hotel next time, but that's just my preference! Beds were comfy enough, all usual facilities, but kettle could have done with a descale and sterilisation, same as one of the mugs in the room. other than that, clean in general but like I said a little dated looking. We had a room adjacent to the (extremely busy) main road and seeing as the weather was hot we had to leave the windows open, causing a great deal of noise inside. No air-con in room. Shower was very feeble, and the shower head again could have done with being sterilised. Some towels were a bit old, could have done with replacement.

Having booked into The Guest House for a friends wedding, on arrival we we're disappointed to hear from the propieter that there would be no breakfast! As apparently " it's illegal to do so" not even a basket with a croissant and homemade jam left outside your door! Maybe it should be listed as Bed, as Bed and Breakfast it was definitely not!

I stayed here for 2 nights as I was working on a local property, I’m a tradesman and found this a great little spot to stay, the landlady was very friendly and showed us around the hotel and facilities, the room was very clean and comfortable, there is a handy communal dining room downstairs with a tv sofas and pool table which was good for me after finishing work, I would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to do the same.
