Christine was a very helpful and friendly host who at the time of our visit was juggling the guesthouse with the arrival of a new grandchild. Breakfast was lovely - a good choice of cereals, fruit and traditional cooked choices, all freshly made.
We booked the deluxe twin room which is the most expensive of the rooms here. We loved the decor but it is worth mentioning that the bathroom area is separated from the bedroom area by a curtain. This is clearly marked on the website so no complaint on that score, but in hindsight we wished we had opted for a traditional room. This room also lacked a bedside table which was a slight inconvenience.
During our holiday we stayed in 13 different places; The Bishopcleugh was head and shoulders above them all for the content of the generous hospitality tray. Two bottles of fizz, home made biscuits, scottish tablet and water along with the usual teas and coffees - we really appreciated that.
room in this stone farmhouse. TV, complimentary tea and coffee, comfy bed Wonderful cooked breakfast, cereal toast fruit tea coffee. Kids welcome. Lovely host made us very welcome and accomodated us at last minute. Perfect.
So pleased we did as we found the Bishopcleugh B&B!
A warm welcome from Christine, and shown to our well appointed bedrooms. Lovely decorated rooms, everything provided, and a quality en suite.
Breakfast was a delight, lovely home cooked quality ingredients.
If you get the chance make a for this B&B!,,
