We popped into the Angel yesterday for lunch, we hadn’t booked it was just a drop in.

They have gone above and beyond with the measures they have taken regarding Covid with excellent table spacing, all appropriate hand sanitation and drop off tables when delivering your food. All the staff were constantly cleaning.

The food was stunning and really good value, they have not hiked the prices up like a lot of places we’ve seen, putting up to £2 on each meal under the guise of the reopening menu.

Liked it that much we’re going again next week.

Can highly recommend.

We stayed here while attending a wedding. Nice pub friendly staff clean and comfortable room. We did get a continental breakfast hamper left outside our room which was a nice touch and is enough to set you up for the day. Hotel its self has no car parking facilities we parked in one of the council car parks round the corner you can park overnight as charges don't apply from 6pm all in all reasonable priced stay in a nice location.

We were off to the Harry Potter experience and found this at the last minute.
We received such a lovely warm welcome by all the staff and would definitely return. The room was clean and had everything you would need.
A lovely small breakfast was left outside the room in the morning.
A great location, no parking but a pay and display car park close by, if you use the parking app you do not need to get up in the morning to add extra money.
We also ate in the pub, great food and good value too.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding and we stayed in room 5. The photos of the rooms look a lot nicer than what they actually are. When we arrived we had to pay our bill and they said they'd only charge us £150 as the there was some water damage on one of the walls. When we got to the room, we noticed the damage and it wasn't great and the room smelt a little musty. The floor was also quite uneven in the room. When it was time for bed, I could literally feel the springs in the mattress and it was rock hard so we didn't really sleep very well for the 2 nights. The bathroom actually looked quite nice and clean but it flooded so much when we showered because the shower screen doesn't move. We had to mop it up with towels and they were sopping wet. We reported this to the owner before we checked out and she just said 'thanks for letting me know' and that was it. The good thing about this place is that it was a good location in Knutsford, close to parking and really central. But for the price it just wasn't up to par.

Stopped for one night on our way to Chester and what a great find. Lovely hotel, very warm reception from staff who were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom the same. Continental breakfast served on a tray outside your door in the morning contained more than enough for two with a good choice. The bar and was roomy, loads of tables and food served was excellent. I can strongly recommend the cheese and onion pie. Good real ales together with well kept Holts beers. Would highly recommend the Angel and definitely call again when in the area. Thanks for a great stay.

Great little hotel/pub in Knutsford. Located on King Street which is full of bars and bistros and the entrance to Tatton Park is at the the end, near the Angel. Bed was really comfy, nice continental breakfast left outside your room included in the price and pub serves great lunch and diners. We loved it that much we’ve already rebooked!

After ordering drinks were told there was a 30 minute delay for food which wasn't an issue. Drinks arrived and food order taken only to be told 30 minutes later that they were no longer serving food.

The server was lovely but the manager had a bad attitude and let us pay £21 for the drinks and tried to explain the kitchen was closed, but they were visibly still preparing food.

Won't be returning.

We were guests at a wedding locally and chose the Angel for our stay. The rooms are above a Joseph Holts pub, where we were given a very warm welcome and escorted upstairs to our room. The room was spacious, modern yet cosy and incredibly clean. We were really impressed with everything. A breakfast basket was left outside for us to eat in the morning and the check out details were explained clearly. Although there is no parking onsite, we were directed to a very reasonable and secure car park which was located literally a few steps away. A very comfortable and friendly stay in a lovely room with great friendly service. Would absolutely recommend and we hope to return.

I went to a private event in the upstairs room. The buffet was excellent and plentiful, the staff helpful but not obtrusive. The bar upstairs was not well stocked with soft drinks which was disappointing as many of us were driving, and the only toilets were downstairs ( steep, stairs and not well signposted) . However overall we had a good evening , it was good but not amazing
