I've stayed a couple of times when I've been out on the town in Knutsford. It's not central and doesn't have much in the way of facilities but it's somewhere clean and cheap to stay. The owner is a fascinating character and very friendly and I have no complaints.

We stayed at Radbroke Barn over a weekend which is highly unusual as in essence it is only open during the week for business guests. From the outset James the owner was more than hospitable, his sense of humour is second to none and his desire to please his guests the same, his manners are impeccable but all of these qualities... I rang and the gentlemen answered 'Good Afternoon Faulty Towers'. This place is very different to other B&Bs, the owner James is a very nice man, when the place has been fully booked he even gave a room in his house. He will offer you wine and like to have a chat with you. Very honest and trustworthy and reasonably... More

Stayed at this place for one night, that was enough... The gentleman running the place is a bit eccentric to say the least. Likes knocking on your door asking if you want a glass of wine, think he is lonely. I would not like to be left on my own with him for too long, bit suggestive if you know... More

Radbroke Barn is a great place. There is a very good spirit among the people who are staying in the Barn, most of them working at Radbroke Hall. The owner is very friendly, always helpful. I much appreciate that I get the same room every time and I can leave my staff for the weekend. Everything is clean and tidy.... More

I have stayed in many hotels/B&Bs in my career but of only a very view can I say that I enjoyed staying long term in a hotel/B&B. You see, the good thing about the Barn is not the closeness to Radbroke Hall (although it helps) or the nice owner (although it helps). The nice thing about the Barn is that... More

This is not a B&B or hotel as you would expect. It is marketed as a business B&B which equates to you being given a room at the start of the week with a hand and shower towel (only one room has a bath). The room is yours to maintain over the week, no fresh bed linen or towels are... More

Forget the last two reviews. Unhappy people cannot be pleased and see bad in everything... Radbroke Barn is a great, friendly B&B. Rooms are clean, owner is very helpful and friendly, no hassle. It could not be better located for Radbroke Hall. Tee/coffee making facilities in all the rooms and there is a breakfast room with microwave, fridge and cutlery... More

I don't understand the 2 negative reviews. The Radnroke Barn is well placed for workers at the Barclays Radbroke Hall site. It is good value for money, clean and friendly. I have been here for 3 months.

This was a practical B&B just off the M6 before Knutsford. It was no frills and provided a bed and breakfast with a quick service. This is very much for business people who just need the basics. This is not for a family on holiday. Plenty of parking and lovely views of sheep out of the window.
