I stayed here for one night having had a couple of nights on the isalnds from Kirkwall. I was met by a friendly member of staff when I rang the reception bell, I was just taking a room as had to be at the airport before breakfast was served. Having checked in I was shown to my room which was...

We arrived on the ferry from Aberdeen at 11:30PM. The hotel allows check in for passengers arriving on this ferry, making it a convenient choice. We did have to find an employee in the bar to come over and check us in, as the buzzer by the desk did not seem to alert them of our presence. We were tired...

The staff were friendly but we did not really get to see them as children are not allowed in the bar/restaurant so we were very separate. We stayed in room 6 which would have had a lovely view of the harbour (unfortunately covered in scaffolding during our stay). The bed was fine, and the single and roll away extra bed...

A lovely traditional hotel right on the harbour. Everything you could ask for, clean, very comfortable and friendly. Lady at reception gave us loads of good tips. Parking outside is free despite what the signs say

My wife and I stayed here recently and were very impressed. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, courteous, and helpful, the room was nicely furnished and clean, and the food at the restaurant was divine. Highly recommended.

Very happy with this local pub where we stayed for 4 nights. It is very well located right on the waterfront and our room which was very comfortable looked directly over the harbour. It is just a short walk around the corner to the town centre and attractions. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed drinks with very friendly locals...

We were unaware when we booked that the Orkney Rock Festival was on and the St Ola Hotel was one of the venues. Upon checkin, we were a little worried about the possible noise as the main act wasn't due on stage until after 11pm. But our room was well away from the sound of the bands. The only noise...

Wanting a nice lunch whilst visiting Kirkwall last week we asked a local for a recommendation. She said the Ola hotel was good and she wasn't wrong. We had a great light lunch with good wine, very friendly and happy atmosphere and a very reasonable bill. Well done St. Ola.

I was wandering around Kirkwall and happened upon this hotel . I was attracted in by the reasonable prices on the menu and the free Wi-Fi sign . I was met by a nice friendly young lady who showed me to my table and took my order . I chose wisely and had the Orkney beer battered haddock washed down...
