A comfortable stay, much needed specially when you come back after a long hicking. This stay provides a very comfortable, clean and quiet place to rest and stay. We stayed for two nights and three days. The place is on commercial Street and very close to all the eateries to try around.

The guest house is quiet, private, comfortable, and well appointed. It was easy to check in at a convenient time using the door code. The bathroom was newly re-done and had a lovely shower with plenty of water pressure and hot water.

Fairly recently taken over by owners/hosts Ryan, Anita and Lynda. Easy to book and communications from Ryan before and during our stay were superb and straightforward. Lovely guesthouse and centrally located. Ours was room 4 on the 2nd floor, very comfortable with king-size bed, super clean and nice toiletries. Due to the stairs, if you have mobility issues or large suitcases to lug around, you might consider asking for a room on the 1st floor. Breakfasts were delicious and Ryan and Lynda so friendly and welcoming. They gave advice on how to get around on public transport and make the most of our couple of days there. Lerwick is lovely with fabulous shops, cafes and restaurants. No. 88 is worth a visit but book a table. Would recommend a visit to Scalloway on the outskirts. We had a brilliant couple of days, made all the better for staying at this beautiful guesthouse. There's no doubt Ryan and team want you to have the best visit. They succeeded!! Thanks so much. …

Ryan was extremely considerate regarding our need to change arrival times (a result of “Storm Babet”). He made us very welcome and prepared us a wonderful breakfast. He checked in on us daily and could not have been more helpful. Room 2 is beautifully presented with local woolens. It has a lovely view. The Guesthouse is comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. The Guesthouse looks onto the main pedestrian mall in Lerwick. It is close to all the attractions and some great restaurants. Parking was easy. I highly recommend Fort Charlotte Guest House - just be aware there are stairs.

Wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts, beautiful rooms with plenty of space, excellent location and a fab cooked breakfast. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Fort Charlotte guest house as your first choice in Lerwick accommodation. (& the only hotel/guest house in my months of travelling that has offered real milk for your tea/coffee😃)

Lovely B&B centrally located in Lerwick close to shops, cafes and restaurants as well as local attractions. The B&B is equipped to a high standard with excellent standards of cleanliness. Ryan and his team are welcoming and go out of their way to make guests feel at home. Would definitely stay again if I was visiting the area.

I received such a warm welcome. A central location enabled me to walk everywhere I wanted to go. A lovely size of room with spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Great touch with real milk in the fridge. Makes such a difference. Breakfast was delicious. A very healthy serving of smoked salmon with my fluffy scrambled eggs. The hosts very very friendly and most helpful. This will be my first choice of accommodation next time I am in Lerwick.

Ryan and staff went out of their way to make us feel at home! The fresh cooked breakfast was always prepared to order and delicious ( especially the Scottish smoked salmon and scrambled eggs!). Ryan’s brother-in- law even made me a delicious bowl of Reesit Mutton soup, just because I mentioned that I couldn’t find any in town. The room was cozy and very convenient to Commercial Street. They made our stay during Wool Week the best ever!
