Was part of a birthday group where the menu choices had been arranged in advance. The service was fine, staff friendly, but what happened to the smoked trout starter? It was like leather - in fact, I think it was smoked mackerel. I didn't want to embarrass the host by complaining but would have sent it back otherwise. How they sent it out like that I don't know. The host later told me he was disappointed overall as the food was not as good as before.
Go here once a month to meet friends. Food never disappoints nor does service. I am coeliac and am served appropriately without fuss or problem. Staff are very accommodating, food is always tasty with an extensive menu. Pleasant surroundings
Thank you so much, after a long walk round Loch Leven we were given a warm welcome and utterly delicious meal with a wide range of menu. Super place for either just a cuppa or meal - we will certainly be back!!
Lunch today was very pleasant unlike the weather outside, restaurant was warm with extra no noise fan heaters. Glad fortunately we were not seated nearer to the door. Howling draft everytime it was opened. Offered both the standard and Christmas menu. Something available to suit all taste, Nice.. The main meals were lovely, hot and nicely presented, unfortunately the desserts were slightly disappointing, the Christmas Pudding was miserable, when mentioned to the young waitress, she handled things well and returned with a bite more pudding. Overall lovely.
We have been eating here regularly over the last year ,we were both attracted by the high standards of both food and service . The last few visits over October and November have been disappointing , and today was terrible, the place was freezing the radiators were cold , my food was disappointing the lamb was very tough almost inedible , I don’t know exactly what has changed ,the whole place and staff appear very flat , Not a good visit.
