Stayed 1 night with my 8 year old and had a lovely time. The communication prior to arrival was great with questions answered. Check in process was easy, we were in beeches non electric pitch which was close to tiolets which in my view were basic but clean, shower area would benefit from mirrors. The pitch was flat with our area clearly marked out. Lots of water stations available which was good. My son enjoyed the pool, although reported it wasnt warm as we were told, the staff member looked miserable sat on her phone the whole hour. We used the little shop and found it well priced with friendly staff ..would be great if they sold sandwiches for lunch. The kids entertainment at night interested my 8 year old, it seemed popular with kids. The cafe was great ..used it twice, and both times friendly service with fab food ! Would be even better with a wider menu ! I noted there appeared to be residents on site, they were friendly but just be aware this appears a mixed site of residents and holiday makers. I noted some adults behaviour was questionable with them swearing and walking around with alcoholic drinks ...no trouble noted but it isn't great to see and other sites I have visited people tend to only drink near their tents. We had no noise issues overnight or early morning. Check out was easy but as other reviewers have noted no enquiry about our stay. Overall a positive stay, great price and little one enjoyed it so will be back !

We came for a weekend with our touring caravan in July. It is very expensive compared to other sites for what you get, no water or drainage on the pitch but for the price you pay here you would get elsewhere. You also have to pay extra to use the swimming pool which is so overcrowded that you just stood in an area you could find. Our pitch was one of three just past the wardens van and was down an aisle full of season pitches, everyone looks at you as you drive down the road like you are an intruder not a paying guest. Very strange to put holiday makers in this location. The toilet block is very old and tired but was clean. Water points in various locations however only one waste water point on the whole site which is near on impossible to find without having to ask. Upon arrival we were first told about the rules and asked how many kids were on the booking, the warden was peering over me to see into the car as of to check what I said was true. Nowhere to stop upon arrival and you have to pay the fob there and then blocking the entire entrance and exit to the park. I asked if they could let my husband through with the caravan while I sorted the payment for the fob but was told no this wasn't possible. Same for the way out, couldn't return your fob deposit until you were out the area and causing carnage. Very odd and distrusting to say the least. We wouldn't return and get better value for money elsewhere.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback we are sorry that our site wasn't satisfactory for yourselves. July is our high season and therefore the price of a plot is higher than normal. In regards to the pool we do unfortunately have to charge for this service as the cost to run the pool is not covered in the price of pitch fees and it is an expensive feature to run. Our options are to charge for it for those that use if or we don't offer it as a service so we hope people can understand why we charge to use it. We are looking at putting more waste disposal points around site in the future however it is easier said than done. Regardless we appreciate your honest feedback.

Visited for two nights in Aug camping on the electric hook up site and near to the toilet blocks. We checked in easy enough and paid the balance and they do take card and a 10£ charge for a barrier key. We were with family in two separate tents next to each other, it was a shame that there was a wooden post between us so had to sit one side to be together. The campsite is so close to a Lidl, easy walking distance so do not need to drive. It’s really just round the corner - really handy and lots of stock. The shop on the site was useful, we ended up getting ice and some ice lolly’s and sweets, the lady was really nice and friendly and could use card in there which was handy. The park was a good size, the pool is chargeable but didn’t get a chance to use it but looked good! The cafe serves amazing burgers- some of our group went there and was really impressed. The toilet blocks were ok, lots of toilet roll and clean, just in the evening felt they were not attended and just sort of left! The rubbish outside was piling up and did smell bad. It’s a 20/25 min walk to the beach and arcades, we did see you can get a bus or taxi but ended up walking and it wasn’t to bad. We did find it a little noisy on the first night and then the second night a bit of a disturbance from another guest which ended up with a lot of other campers complaining and having to call the out of hours warden! He did come very quickly and sorted the situation out! Later on that night 1/2am there was more shouting Etc lucky the kids didn’t wake! I get it’s a campsite but be good if there was someone around patrolling or least enforcing their rules of quiet time after 11pm! On leaving we took the car fob back and received the 10£ deposit back, like others said no asking if everything was ok or anything… just a shame as would have expected to be asked. All in all a great location, just a few niggles that could really make this so much better!

Camped here in a tented area. Very noisy with lots of residential kids shouting and being abusive playing close to our camping area, instead of playing in the appropriate play areas. Toilet blocks were dreadfully unclean.. and not regularly monitored. Not very accommodating with Ice blocks as there office weren't open outside of their office hours .. Can't say I return or recommend

We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your stay at our campsite. However we are a family campsite and children do play regularly on site although we do appreciate that at times their noise can become an inconvenience to some. In regards to the Ice blocks, this isn't a service we normally provide as we do not currently have a facility to allow people to swap them over as they please, however due to the demand we have had this season for people needing to refresh their ice packs we will be getting a freezer in the future for public use. It's a shame you feel this way about our site we do clean our toilets twice a day and regularly check them throughout the day as well, despite your claim. Thank you for your feedback

Had a brilliant stay here last night 12/8/23 Even with the site being full all the amenities where perfect, unlike some sites we have visited where they can’t cope to cater for a full site. The staff were all friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them, theirs also a really good onsite cafe that we would highly recommend. This has definitely become a firm favourite in sites for us with local shops and the beach being so close. We will be back for a longer stay latter in the year. The freemans

This is a good local campsite for us, we've visited on serval occasions over the years. It can be slightly noisy at night but it's a tent at the end of the day. We had booked for this weekend but unfortunately, with no hot water in the showers ( even though the staff member was convinced it had been fixed ) we had to leave earlier then planned.

A clean and tidy site. Well maintained and nice set up. Pitches all set up in sections and marked out. Facilities are clean, tidy and well stocked, regularly cleaned. There is a nice little enclosed park for the kids and swimming pool, which you have to pay for. Only issue we had was noise at night! It states quiet time is between 11pm and 7am. It really could do with being 9/9.30pm... I understand people are on holiday but every night we had an issue. Whether it be with a loud group next to us, playing music, singing (drunk shouting) til 11pm + or kids running up and down and hiding beside the tent screaming at 10pm "playing" hide and seek... it was really disturbing when we have 3 young children trying to sleep. I did report the noise, I called the out of hours wardens number... went to voicemail. Spoke to the receptionist the next morning... just told ok, they're leaving today, hopefully you don't get another noisy neighbour tonight! Then on check out... wasn't even asked how our stay was. Just took the car barrier key and off we go. Not sure if we'll be returning yet. It's a convenient location for us but might have to consider which pitch we have if we return.
