Stayed here just one night. Rooms are small, but it is a listed building over 400 years old, so to be expected. Lovely comfortable room with lots of really thoughtful small touches ( tea & coffee, chocolates!). Breakfast was superb. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Fully deserves 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again!
Amazing stay, great owners. The location is stunning, with the oldest pub in Yorkshire in the back garden. Beautiful walk along the river and a fantastic cafe/Bistro a few yards away. Amazing breakfast included. Will definitely go back soon
What a gorgeous B & B - lovely old building with 2 rooms right on the river and the others overlooking the cobbled street. All beautifully kitted out. But what really made this B & B was the welcome and the personal touch. Trevor went out of his way to ensure our visit for a wedding nearby went to plan. We felt so very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. Great location in the village too, with lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. Will definitely visit again!
A stay at Over the Bridge B&B is 100% recommended. Our room overlooked a beautiful stream. The bed was extra comfy and the amenities in the room were fantastic. The English breakfast was amazing with plenty of other choices as well. What can i say about our hosts Trev and Guy, two amazing people! Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were staying with friends. We will definitely be returning in the very near future. Nicky and Courtney.
I have stayed at Over the Bridge B&B previously with my wife and returned because our stay was delightful and I am really pleased to say that my recent visit was equally as enjoyable. Trevor is the most helpful and friendly host and cooks a fabulous breakfast. I will be back.
Stayed for one night, everything was just perfect. We arrived much much later than expected as we broke down but we were made to feel so very welcome, the rooms are just perfect, the breakfast superb, Trevor is a wonderful host! This is a 5 star b&b Thankyou for everything wish we could have stayed longer.
We stayed at over the bridge with our young children. The owner was very helpful and accomodating and made our stay very enjoyable. The room was very spacious and the whole house was beautifully decorated. I would definitely recommend this B&B and would go back again in the future if I needed accommodation in this area.
From the very first welcome to our leaving the service was exceptional. Trevor was warm and friendly but so professional. The house itself is beautiful , immaculately clean and we were made to feel so “at home”. Bed so comfortable. We had an excellent full English breakfast and there were other choices too. Such value for money. We will most certainly stay again.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay in this wonderful guesthouse as we were in the area for a wedding. Trevor made us so welcome from the moment we arrived- he even booked us a table in the near by pub for the evening we arrived. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean - plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee etc even chocolate biscuits and chocolates on our pillows every evening too! Such a lovely, thoughtful gesture! Our lovely breakfasts were served in a beautiful dining room. We loved meeting Dexter the Labrador too! We hope to return soon! Thankyou
Looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing day or two last week, with very little notice, I chose Over the Bridge based purely on it's fantastic reviews. Having very little experience with guest houses and doing absolutely no planning for what to do when we got there, my partner and I had no idea what to expect. Very, very glad to have jumped on this however, as the host - Trevor - was spot on for putting us at ease. He introduced us to the area, the house (and it's history, which I appreciated) and recommended good walks and where to find good grub. Most importantly, we were given privacy in a room where everything was well-considered; tea and biscuits, wifi password, towels, bottle of water... everything we could need for our stay was there and we knew Trevor was only upstairs if we needed anything else. Breakfast was a real treat as, once again, Trevor made sure we were well looked after. Quiet music, really really nice food (Yorkshire Tubby comes recommended) and a pleasant send-off when the time came to say goodbye. We didn't really have any reason to visit the area other than to try somewhere new, but we are glad we did and may well visit again sometime now that we know we can expect a pleasant stay.…
