Stayed at 'Over the Bridge' prior to a work meeting and had an excellent experience from booking until i left the beautiful B&B for my work meeting. Trevor was great and called me after the booking was accepted and offered advice on the best route to get to the B&B, the best parking given the bad weather and also how to locate the property once parked up. Parking is just outside and FREE too which was very handy. On arrival i received a warm greeting and was told information about the B&B, local area and then shown to my room. It was a beautiful room, very spacious and tastefully decorated with a big comfortable bed. Trevor was keen that i was warm enough as the building is an old one, but it was absolutely fine. A desk for working, big tv and comfortable chairs for relaxing as well as tea and coffee making facilities were all perfect. The bathroom was cooler than the main room but very clean and had a superb view through a small window on to the river. Shower and other facilities were excellent and plenty of toiletries and clean towels supplied. I asked for advice on where to eat and the Old Bridge Inn some 30 yards away was recommended and my host booked me in for my chosen time whilst he was with me, which was going over and above and very efficient. The sleep was great, quiet area and the occasional chime of the church bell was the only real sounds. As stated the best was very warm with the good bedding and also mega comfortable. Breakfast the next day was consistent with the rest of the stay, very very good! Trevor's admission that he found poached eggs the hardest to get right was not backed up as it was one of the best i have had along with the rest of the quality breakfast. This was chosen the night before and bespoke preparation was a lovely touch. I did have a walk around the area after breakfast, with again some advice from the host. The walks are plentiful and there is some wonderful scenery in this gem of an area. Plenty of shops and pubs locally too depending on what you are looking for from your stay. All in all pretty faultless and a great experience which prepared me well for my working day in Halifax. Thank you.

This bed and breakfast is one of the best we have stayed in, the rooms and beds are very comfortable, the facilities are second to none, coffee and tea are supplied in abundance, little touch of chocolate on the pillow, Breakfast in whichever form you would like, full English cooked fresh, beans on toast if that's what you request, nothing is too much trouble for the host to supply, very pleasant atmosphere, we will without doubts stay here again.

Wow what a gem of a find Over the Bridge was!! We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding at Bowers Mill (less than a 10 minute drive away) and would have loved to stay longer. Very pretty room retaining its old character while having all modern conveniences. The bed was like sleeping snuggled on a warm cloud. Lovely bathroom with a window over the river. Big wardrobe with loads of hangers. Tea, coffee etc all provided, there was even a selection of magazines. Nothing had been overlooked. Trevor’s breakfast was simply gorgeous!! Everything was cooked fresh as you arrived at the table. My husband had the full English and I had the Yorkshire Tubby, both absolutely delicious!! Free parking is available at the nearby pub car park just over the road, always a bonus. The whole stay was perfect, the cherry on top was their gorgeous black Labrador Dexter always happy to show you his favourite toys. We will definitely stay here with you again Trevor if we are “up North” and please give us a shout if you are “down South” we’d love to meet up for a beverage or two!! (And to share the hair straighteners 😉)

My husband and I have just had a weekend in Ripponden for a family wedding, we booked into this B&B, with no prior knowledge of the place or area, the B&B was without doubt superb, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the cooked breakfast was lovely, accompanied by tea, fresh coffee, toast and cereals. Many thanks to our host Trevor, and the delightful black Labrador, Dextor. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the place.

What a cracking stay from the point of booking to leaving the visit was absolutely perfect. We were stopping for a family wedding in the area and booked all three rooms and we were not disappointed. All the rooms were individually unique and well stocked. It is set in such a beautiful location too that would suit any stay. Trevor and Guy were just the best hosts so professional and friendly and the breakfast to finish it off was cracking. it made for a perfect weekend. Many thanks again Gary and Family.

This little B&B is probably one of the best we have visited here in the UK. The hosts Trevor & Guy are probably the most hospitable people you will ever meet. Nothing is too hard and will always try to bend over backwards to what you may or may not ask of them. On top of that, have such a jovial GSOH which we loved and have even welcomed them into our own home if they ever pop down South for a visit. It's like we have known them for years and feel part of the family! Anyone planning a trip up to Ripponden, there is no where else to stay imho. Really highly recommended!!

I recently stayed in this bnb for my wedding. Trevor is the most accommodating and friendly host I have ever met in my life. He ensured every detail of our stay was absolutely perfect and was the right man to get everyone geared up for a busy day. Nothing was too much hassle for him & he even went the extra mile of bringing a shot of baileys for the bride and opening the back section so we could take some photos. His attention to detail and his welcoming personality is an absolute credit to this beautiful bnb. The breakfast options were large & the bnb hosts a beautiful dining room. It was immaculate and the service Trevor gave us was absolutely out of this world. No matter how many stars there are it wouldn’t be enough to rate this place. Highly highly recommend and thank you so much Trevor, you made a very stressed bride feel very relaxed and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Cannot rate this beautiful B&B highly enough. Trevor was so welcoming and we loved our rooms. Travelling with my very wobbly octogenarian father in law, who was accommodated so thoughtfully! The bed was super comfortable and bathroom well equipped and had a loo with a view lol. The whole place was immaculate. And the decor... every nook and cranny was like a spread from a home design magazine. Just perfect. Was lovely to have Dexter the pup wandering about, miss my dogs when I'm away, so having a friendly head to pat is always welcome. Breakfast was superb! Trevor... please stop running your poached eggs down, mine was perfect😊 We will definately return to this little Gem of a place! One night is definately not enough x
