Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

I have to say this was the first time i had booked or stayed in a Weatherspoon hotel and to be honest i was a little apprehensive but on arrival all that apprehension disappeared.
Check in at the hotel is from 2pm and we arrived at 2.30pm and check in was easy and quick and receptionist was very friendly and helpful and gave us all the information we needed. ( by the way check in is round the side of the building and not the pub entrance )
We were given room 309 which was on the 3rd floor overlooking the shopping centre and bust station which is across the road from the hotel and pub.
The room was spotless and huge and had iron/ironing board/hair drier super king size bed /complimentary water and coffee/tea/hot chocolate and biscuits which are replenished when used free of charge.
The bathroom was also a really good size and clean with two sets of towels complimentary shower gel and very clean too.
The rooms are cleaned everyday if you require it and towels will be changed if you require that each day.
Considering where the hotel is it was very quiet with little or no noise and i requested i high floor just in case there was any noise from the pub.
Wifi is also free and very good and all hotel rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors while the 1st floor has customer toilets for the pub customers.
The hotel is very secure as you need to use the proximity card you are given to actually get into the corridors where the rooms are and get in and out of the hotel entrance and there is also a lift near reception and also entrance to the lift for hotel customers only from inside the pub.
The hotel was spotless everywhere and the staff were all very friendly and always took time to chat and asked how everything was even in the pub the staff there were all friendly.
Checkout is 11.00am and breakfast starts in the pub from 7.00am the bar times are sun to thur 9.00am -midnight and fri & sat 9.00am-1.00am.
The hotel is across the road from the shopping centre and bus station if required and the taxi rank is outside the hotel with the beach just a 5-10 minute walk away and if you dont want to eat at Weatherspoon there is plenty of bars and restaurants close by too.
There is some traffic noise but at night we did not hear any noise after 11pm and we had a room overlooking the road.
There is no parking at the hotel but you can either park at the multi storey next door which is £10 per night which i believe you have to pay each day and it is locked at night or you can do what we did and use the your parking app and park in the Sainsbury car park which is on st nicholas road just a 5 minute walk away and it only cost £9.00 for our 3 night stay and having used would highly recommend.
Also we booked the hotel through Booking.com but you can book directly through Weatherspoon but i found Booking.com cheaper when i booked but worth checking.
I really enjoyed my stay here and i could not fault one thing and after this experience i would certainly recommend this hotel and i would certainly stay in other Weatherspoon hotels after this experience.

Booked this a couple of weeks ago. Room was ready on arrival. Rooms clean , tidy and spacious we stayed on the top floor, there’s a lift and stairs we mainly took the stairs. Our room overlooked the bus station but wasn’t a problem , minimal noise and great for people watching. The bathroom was an amply spaced walk in shower , toilet and sink. The bed was possibly one of the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. Huge tv , iron and ironing board plus a hairdryer and tea and coffee making , biscuits and water. These guys have it sorted an absolute bargain. We had both breakfast and lunch here the menu is pretty vast and cheap and cheerful and at just over 2 quid a pint or 8 quid for a bottle of white wine the same wine is only about £1.00 less in a supermarket , absolutely brilliant value, There are many places you can eat and drink in the area but this place is pretty smart inside and the staff are happy, polite and that’s what you want …also plenty of staff too as it being a bank holiday was understandably busy but they’d sussed that one and I think everyone we met had no complaints. Definitely would recommend this , location , food , staff, room …ticked all my boxes

Overnight stay in Yarmouth with my partner. We were looking for a good value, clean room with a central location.
This room was great! It was big, clean, tidy. Great decor, good air con. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and piping hot water.
Staff were courteous and helpful. Good COVID face mask rulings and checked out at 11am.

Booked a while ago for 2 couples for 31st December for 3 nights. We booked here as we have stayed before and rooms are lovely. On arrival we noticed lift was not working and as our room was on 3rd floor (68 stairs) and my husband being elderly and cannot manage stairs very well asked if we could be moved to a lower floor was told none available I then queried getting our luggage to the room only to be told we would have to take it. The person on reception who also works in the bar I believe his name was Matt was most unhelpful. All being elderly struggled with the stairs and the following morning said we couldn't stay up there,we was offered rooms a floor lower but was still too much to manage so asked for a refund for the remaining 2 nights and checked out this took a couple of hours to get sorted once again had to bring our luggage all the way down no offer of using the service lift.
Apparently the lift had been out of order for 2 weeks previously I did say it would have been courtious to have informed us and given us the opportunity to cancel. We went back that evening for a meal and my chicken came out hot on top and stone cold in the middle no one seemed concerned when I complained but after seeing the manager was refunded but I had ended up eating my meal after the others had finished. Our whole new year break was completely ruined thanks to wetherspoons

My wife and I booked a double room in the property in yarmouth 11-12/03/2023 , for the night, We traveled by train arriving just after 11.00 (whinge) , we called in to the weatherspoons property and as we new we could not check in until 14.00. I asked to leave the overnight bag, I was told that this was at our risk and the only place was behind the reception desk which was located down a couple of steps from the main bar and was not staffed until 14.00. We took the case with us. Would be nice to sort this issue.
At 14.00 we checked in and was given room 206 , excellent large room with double bed side lights and bathroom with walk in overhead shower. Everything was spotlessly clean and warm. Also nice location with 10 minute stroll to the pier and beach. The rooms are secure with a 2 door security swipe card access to the rooms and 10 to 15 minute walk to the railway station. This is a excellent place to stay would definitely stay again . Just the one improvement with the left luggage facility.

We paid £56 per night for 2 nights and was very pleasantly surprised at the room we received.

Clean, tidy and big in size.

I have stayed in many budget hotels but for the price you pay this really must be up there for one of the best budget hotels in the £50 per night range.

Plus the added bonus you could carry on having drinks and a nightcap until closing then simply go to your room.

Followed by the breakfast in the mornings - so convenient and easy.

the only down point was the 11am check out but that's not the end of the world - otherwise a very enjoyable stay and will look at wetherspoons hotels in future as a result

As someone who didn’t want to stay in a guest house this was the best place for me and my partner to stay.
The room is modern with a new tv and USB ports at the bedside. Our room was large and had separate shower and bath.

There is no parking on site but there’s a public car park round the corner which is really convenient so don’t let this put you off.

Only comment is that the buttons to call the lift on the top and ground floor were broken when I stayed which meant walking up or down one flight to call a lift. Something I didn’t mind but important to bare in mind if you have mobility issues.

The room did have aircon although the room didn’t feel particularly cold despite us having it on 19oC and when we had breakfast in the spoons one day it was luke warm... but, it is a spoons.

Great room at an amazing price which I couldn’t recommend enough.

asked for double bed but they joint 2 single beds together and made that into a double bed! room air con was controlled by them at reception and they had our heating on while it was 24° hot outside! i was suffocating and had to call them to ask why the air con wasnt working, i was told to use the windows!! air con didnt work properly while i stayed there for 3 nights, i shouldnt have to roast in the heat when it clearly says they are fully air conditioned hotel, that was very disappointing. picture on the websites look nice but the bed isnt decorated with cushions and runner like it shows on the pic, its jus plain white sheet with 2 pillows thats all, very basic.
it should be how it looks on the picture!
OVERALL- nice hotel but NEEDS improving!

We visited this place for a meal for my daughters birthday and have to say its got to be the worst Weatherspoons we have ever been in, staff are rude, management don't care and food that was ordered wasn't cooked properly so had to be returned. There was food all over the floor and tables were left dirty, when my husband tried to order deserts he got wrongly accused of insulting the barman serving him, and was told he was barred instantly. Upon complaining to the manageress we found that she had a couldn't care less attitude and even though I explained it was my daughters birthday meal we were told to leave. After using this restaurant twice in one week, we will never ever set foot through the door again. A terrible place and poor organisation.

Sainsbury’s supermarket, which is only a ten minute walk from the hotel, charge £3.00 for 24 hours. Book with ‘YourParkingSpace, or visit the Supermarket website. Certainly the cheapest parking nearest the hotel.
