went on a coach trip and on arrival greeted by a manager who told of the covid rules which had to be in place and of the staggered meal times to make the dining more efficient. Taken off the coach in 6 people so as to obtain the card key to the allocated rooms, which went well. Suitecases were taken up very quickly so could soon unpack and prepare for evening meal. The room was at the quiet side of the hotel and was spacious and clean with a excellent modern bathroom. Towels etc could be replenished by leaving outside the door and tye , milk etc could be obtained from reception , as cleaners did not enter the room during the stay. Meals were very good and served effeciently with the 20 minute staggered times ( as 4 coach parties in ). Tables for 2 , spaced apart was no problem.. Moving about one had to wear a face covering but once seated not. Drinks were served to you up to 9.50pm. We had a singer on monday, bingo tues, singer wed and thursday , all very enjoyable. ( 8 to 9.30 ). Staff were all very friendly and worked hard to ensure guests had a good time, THANK YOU ALL. . Nice trips out with our Buckleys driver Andy who got us there and back safely in goodtime. A clean effecient run hotel with good food , great position opposite brittania pier, would certainly return.

We enjoyed our 5 day break with Alfa despite some terrible weather. The hotel is clean and well decorated and copes with Covid rules fine. Meals were good with good choice and fresh vegetables the only disappointing dish was fish and chips which used tasteless fish. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable but be aware if you have a sea view room do not open your windows more than 2 inches. We returned to our room one afternoon to find a pigeon in room ( our window was about 6/7 inches open) we made a noise and it flew back out we then closed the window - we then went to dinner and returned to our room about 10.00 and then discovered a pigeon behind the chair under the desk! we contacted security and it was dealt with quickly. In my hotel questionnaire I suggested spikes be place on window ledges to prevent birds lands. Despite this incident we would certainly return to the hotel.

A short stay but a nice one.

The hotel staff were very friendly, our room was spacious and comfy, the view from the room wasn't anything to shout about, but we were arriving when it was dark and departing after breakfast so didn't see the point of paying for a sea view.

Room was disabled friendly but had to go down 3 steps to get to it, my wife struggled a bit, if we were to go back (most likely) we would request step free route to a room.
The shower was powerful and lovely and the bed very comfortable.

Breakfast was very nice and the staff very attentive despite it being a tad busy.

In places the hotel could do with a lick of paint, but its by no means run down. I would definitely stay again.

Stopped here for 3 nights this weekend, its a large hotel owned by Alpha Holidays the company that's just bought National Holidays. Its right on the sea front opposite the pier so a great location. The rooms are very good having all been refurbished and the shower room was immaculate. Downstairs its very smart with large lounges and ballroom all refurbished and nicely decorated. the furniture is all new along with the carpets. There were a couple of niggles, on returning from town on night one at 10.45 pm the bar was shut even though the singer was still on, we had been told by reception that it would be open till at least 11 pm. After some persuasion we managed to get a drink, on night 2 the bar closed at 10.40 pm again after asking for a drink we managed to get served on night 3 we just stayed out The barmaid said her hours had been cut so she was sticking to her paid hours fair enough. Breakfast service was chaotic at best and very slow there was no obvious system in place and needs a serious overhaul, the staff had no direction and it could not have been worse. We will stop again but on a room only basis. Covid precautions were first class throughout the hotel and a very high degree of fogging and sanitizing.

Our room was spacious, modern with plenty of drawer/hanging space and very clean. There was limited seating in the bar area although there was basic seating in the dining area. Very good entertainment on our first night but nothing (apart from bingo) on our second night, not even background music. The bar selection was quite limited. The waitress service could have been more efficient if, as in other hotels at present, you could order and pay at the bar.
The covid 19 problem was handled very well with one glaring exception. Why does the hotel still allow the very unhygienic hand dryers instead of hand towels?
The so called wifi only work in cetain parts of the lounge (nothing in the rooms) and then it was very poor.
I booked via Booking.com which said the hotel had parking. Only when I received the confirmation did it say the only parking was public. I e mailed the hotel four days before arriving to ask about disabled parking but they never replied.
Generally though it was a pleasant stay.

Part of coach party. Manager come onto bus to welcome everyone, with details of wearing masks, washing hands and use of gell etc.. Given key to room and cases bought up by staff a little later. Meals were very good, a little lacking in quantity in my opinion, the rest of my party were more than happy. The only thing I found strange was the number of people serving our table at each meal. The room was adequate for our needs.

We travelled with my 92 year old mother and booked adjoining rooms via central reservations ( I telephoned the hotel directly to check this was. Confirmed) on arrival we were allocated rooms five doors apart The receptionist asked us to wait for half an hour and then told us it couldn’t be resolved but she would get the manager to speak to us This had still not happened at the time we left
The restaurant staff were lovely but no supervision and very disorganised only three waiters at breakfast with two coaches trying to leave! The first day we gave up waiting for toast, the second day we were asked four times what we would like to order. There was a good choice of food and it was tasty
Our rooms were not cleaned during our stay ( nor the beds made) as we left the corridor to our bedroom was ‘fogged’ which left an awful smell and fumes which caused all three of us to cough and my mum to be breathless. When I pointed this out to reception saying that guests should be warned ( if better still it should be done overnight) as the chemicals could be dangerous to guests with breathing difficulties she offered no apology and said ‘ they tell us we have to do it’
All in all we were glad to leave

Arrived at 4pm on Halloween after a 7am start from Merseyside travelling with a private group, welcomed by the day manager and the lads took all our bags to our rooms. Evening meal scheduled for 6pm, so nipped into the Prom Pub for some relaxing drinks. No pre-ordered food, but it was hot, varied and plentiful. After dinner the more adventurous members of the group donned their fancy dress outfits much to the disgust of the grumps and also to the delight of the majority and bar staff. Maybe dressing as the Grim Reaper wasn't the greatest of ideas in a hotel of geriatrics!
I digress, up for breakfast which was lovely with fresh coffee on tap, along with efficient service from the breakfast team, you want to vary your food, no problem. And if you ask politely remembering your manners by adding thank you, the staff who are human beings respond accordingly. If you're rude, they still smile and act professionally, much to my angst, but I'm not responsible for obnoxious patrons, I hasten to add, not part of the Merseyside coach.
Day 2, day trips, you get out of them what you want.
Day 3 free day to explore great Yarmouth
Day 4 day trip, see day 2 😁
Day 5 home time

The hotel is right on the front, overall it was spotless. The rooms are a little dated. But serve a purpose, to store your clobber and get a sleep n a shower. Rooms very warm, didn't need any heating on at all, window open from arrival. Shower was ace, hot n powerful. Would've been nice to have a bath for a soak but not a major issue.
Food everyday catered for al diets with vegan and veggie options, pre ordered at breakfast for your enjoyment.
Entertainment, no idea what this was like, as prefer to find local real pubs, of which there are plenty. I know there was bingo, but not being 90 plus, it held no interest for me n friends.

Would I go back, yes I probs would. Great value for money. If you're reading this remember the golden rule, treat others like you want to be treated and you can't go wrong.

I have been on a coach trip staying at the New Beach Hotel The location is excellent, a little quiet at this time of year ,we had a greeting of the manager before we stepped off the coach the hotel staff took our luggage off the coach and quickly up to our rooms.
Reception staff pleasant and quickly felt with booking us all in with minimal fuss.
Rooms are basic very clean shower was roomy and powerful.Food was good but not overwhelming but when dealing with so many people at the same time it is difficult it was always hot with a good choice. The waiting staff could not be faulted. Bags left outside rooms where taken and put on the coach for journey home excellent and 1st time ever the manager came and said a final farewell more than I have experienced before.Had a lovely long weekend. Thankyou all.x

We came as part of a coach group, which we've never done before, so we didn't realise the bias towards the elderly. On the first night ( Saturday), somehow we'd not been asked if we wanted our own table, and despite all the covid notices everywhere we were seated with two other people. When we requested our own table, the head waitress was extremely rude, appearing to blame us for the full dining room and saying our coach party was a bubble. Dining was at an allotted time e g. 9am breakfast, which was very restrictive. On one evening, we were asked to leave the dining table so it could be set for morning.

Reception is often unmanned and on Saturday night there were drunks under the front canopy, so it was noisy till 4a.m. The regimented meal times and mass produced food were reminiscent of 1960s Butlins, with food varying from reasonable to poor. Having to pre order vegetarian food should be a thing of the past. A massive open bowl of yogurt stands exposed throughout the allocated breakfast times... .

The evening entertainment is very geared to the elderly, with bingo taking over the lounge every night. The bar is limited and not open in the day. There is a nice sofa area under some windows but the rest of the lounge is arranged like an OAP waiting room.

The most positive thing I can say is everywhere was clean and we could see the sea. But it's not a family hotel as it's geared for coach parties.
