#12 of 22 B&Bs / Inns in Grantown-on-Spey
Ardconnel House is a luxury B&B set in the Strathspey Area of the Cairngorms National Park. It is a traditional Victorian Villa in an ideal location on the edge of the village. A ten minute stroll down a well maintained woodlands path will take you to the majestic River Spey and 10 minutes is also all it takes to walk into the village centre. We have 5 bedrooms of the highest quality including a luxurious 4 poster bedroom (Glenlivet) with a large modern en-suite featuring a period bath and a walk-in shower. The other rooms have also been recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard, including Balvenie on the ground floor which also has a large walk-in shower. All bedrooms are en-suite, wifi, flat screen colour TVs and tea / coffee making facilities. Our breakfasts are all prepared from local highland produce and our hospitality is second to none.

From the moment we arrived, until we left with a handshake and good wishes two days later, our hosts Tom and Francesca at Ardconnel were perfect. The home is a lovingly restored place which is spotless. Every need of the guest is intuitively predicted.... From the night stand lights, to tiny coffee presses, to hot pots in the rooms, to comfy beds, and finally to a wonderful made to order breakfast, our every need was met. The grounds have beautiful flowers and a walk into town for supper takes just a few minutes. We highly recommend this lovely Victorian gem and the couple who run this B n B for your trip into Speyside, the Whisky Trail, and the Cairngorms National Park.

The owners of this house have done everything possible to make me feel welcome and cared for, going to great lengths to make sure I have what I like for breakfast (well, I got addicted to scones during my visit to Scotland). The house is very cosy, homely and the room was just excellent. I slept well for the first time during my whole trip.

Stayed at this beautiful B&B for two night. Place is beautiful and the hosts are attentive, thoughtful and kind. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Breakfast has a wide choice for all pallets and they take care of your intolerances and allergies too. The fridge share is a unique and welcomed perk for those of us who like to have some extra goodies to make a comfortable stay

My boyfriend and I stayed at Ardconnel for two nights during a Speyside whisky tour. The house was lovely and our room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The hosts were also wonderful and very accommodating. One of the highlights was the made-to-order Scottish breakfast Tom prepared for us each morning - Delicious! This house is truly a gem in Grantown on Spey and I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a 3 day Whisky Tour. Tom and Francois were excellent hosts who were always on hand with local information, advice on places to eat and even phoning ahead to make reservations. The room was beautifully furnished and comfortable and the choice at breakfast was immense. I would thoroughly recommend it if you are stying in the area.
