The Rossmor Guest House offers a homely stay and the hosts made us feel very welcome and had plenty of tips to explore the area. The room and especially the bed were very comfortable and we enjoyed te breakfast. Grantown is a nicely located small town for trips both to the Cairngorms as well as the Speyside. From the guesthouse...

Rossmor Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Grantown-on-Spey! Karen & Neil are absolutely splendid hosts and are probably the highlight of this guest house (which is saying something because this guest house itself is absolutely wonderful). They are so warm and friendly and take an interest in their guests, getting to know us yet providing us with...

Had a three night stay on our first Scottish expedition and we had a simply splendid experience. The Rossmor is a classic 6 bedroom and imposing double fronted Scottish Victorian property standing proudly back from the road with parking to the rear. The entrance hall and the grand sweeping staircase set the tone for what is a spotlessly clean characterful...

I stayed at RossMor for Easter weekend with three friends and had a lovely time! Karen and Neil made special arrangements so that we could let ourselves in as we were going to arrive late in the night. Karen took time every morning to talk us through activities and show us maps of the surrounding which was really appreciated. Breakfast...

Our hosts know their stuff, from having all the right touches round this smashing house, through their approach to hospitality, to their knowledge of the surrounding area (things to do and see and places to eat and drink); wonderfully welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful. Large well appointed en-suite room with good view, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Great breakfasts.

Hi dbcreely, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us in our Cromdale, luxury king room. We named this room Cromdale for the beautiful views of the lochan, woods and Cromdale Hills. We are pleased you also found the bed comfy, we buy them from a charity in Inverness, Highland Blindcraft, they make excellent mattresses. Regarding...

Warm welcoming hosts, comfortable beds, well equipped rooms, excellent breakfast with lots of choices. So much more than your standard B&B. We love it and so did our friends. We have stayed every year for several years and always appreciated all that the hosts offer.

The house is well equipped. The breakfast is very good too. All is quiet so you can have a very good night sleep. Everything is very well organized down to the very details. Maybe a bit too much. A bit more "goes as it goes" would be more fun.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
RossMor is a Victorian Villa with terraced gardens and beautiful views in the Cairngorms National Park. It is a short walk to the village centre and the River Spey, and walking trails through the woods and along the River Spey start from across the road. RossMor is the perfect base for exploring the Highlands including the Whisky Trail, Cairngorm Mountains, Loch Ness and the Moray coast. Our most popular attractions within a half hour drive are the funicular railway up Cairngorm, visiting our wild reindeer, distilleries, woollen mills, castles, beaches, lochs and glens, boat trips on Loch Ness and hiking trails. Many of our guests return again and again, because they love staying with us at RossMor, and because of the variety of things to do in the area. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
