Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’ve been visiting this site both having had a static van and subsequently as a touring caravanner for the past 25 years and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad experience. However, this time around, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Around 5am on the Monday morning, we were awakened by a commercial vehicle on-site picking up tradesmen from one of two caravans opposite us. The engine of this vehicle was left idling for around 5 minutes during which time our caravan filled with noxious fuel fumes. I raised this with the warden later in the morning to be told that it was workmen leaving for Fife and they just hadn’t been thinking. I was assured that they’d be spoken to as they’d been spoken to about it before. The following morning, we had the same issue. Throughout the remainder of the week, the same people were working as a group of around 4 or 5 clearing leaves onsite. Now, Grantown is an immaculate site and we totally understand the need for maintenance. However, at 8am, I didn’t see why these people should be on our pitch between our caravan and car with petrol driven leaf blowers for a period of around 15-20 minutes. When we expressed our discontent with the wardens, we were told to leave a negative review and the site owners needed to be aware of what was happening at the site. Disappointing that the wardens couldn’t resolve this matter, but as requested, I’ve left this review.

Room Tip: Avoid Gold pitches, or you may experience the same issues with the groundsmen in their caravans.

This is the best kept site I have visited. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The site was well kept and the toilet block was immaculate. Slightly more expensive than some others but worth every penny. The reception sold a few items like milk and sweets. There was a book exchange and lots of information on the area. Play area for children and games room.

Watch out for the deduction if you need to change your booking. Regrettably I had to cancel a weeks worth of site bookings across the West coast of Scotland with over a months notice and they were the only caravan and motorhome park to make a deduction!

Hi Henry, are you able to get in touch with your booking reference number please so I can look into this for you. For tourer bookings we take a £20.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, and the balance is due 3 days before arrival. Although this is non-refundable, we will transfer the deposit paid to another booking made within a year from the cancellation date. Our payment terms are included with the booking confirmation and are available on our website. Kind regards, Warden Team.

This is one of our favourite sites. Fantastic location and immaculately maintained. Annette and Terry particularly helpful on arrival on this occasion and reflects the helpfulness of staff on all our visits. Excellent powerful and hot showers. However, has always been a little more expensive which we have not minded but now prices are becoming ridiculously high. Will unfortunately be a factor when planning future visits.

Positives: Lovely site. Spacious pitches. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Fantastic facilities. Negatives: Toilets/showers closing for 3 hours is not good. Recommend visiting The Pagoda just a short walk from site.

We stayed in a Lapwing pod. It was amazing. We were surprised at how spacious is was, we had a bathroom with a fantastic shower. The bed was very comfortable with a very warm duvet. It contained everything we needed and more especially as there was about 6inches of snow during our stay. We’re hoping to return next month to stay in the same accommodation.

What an amazing site this is!! We were on a fully serviced pitch which was very spacious. The shower and toilet block were close by and incredibly clean. The staff were friendly and checkin was smooth and quick. The park is well kept and great access to pitches and exits. There are amazing walks just out of the park and reception have a leaflet with detailed walks which they were happy to give out. The showers were the best we’ve experienced. Plenty hot water and very powerful. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Here at the moment. Really impressed and haven't found anything not to like. Facilities are first class. Very very clean. Location cannot be faulted. Had a lovely fish supper from the van on site. Could go on, they have went the extra mile in thinking of what you require. Yes, in comparison with other sites it is pricey but it's 5 star. Very happy here.
