The lodges at Belton Woods are really lovely. We stayed in late November and the beautifully kept lodge, though spacious, was very warm and cosy and the views were great.
It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the local area - Grantham's restaurants are really good and there's great walking at Belton Hall, a National Trust property very nearby. Lincoln is also in easy reach.

The lodge we stayed in was in a cul de sac of only three lodges so we felt unoverlooked. The lodge was extremely well equipped and very comfortable indeed. The veranda overlooks the golf course with a beautiful view. Added bonus was the daily visit from 3 deer. Second visit here and booked again for next whitsun. Lots to do in the area and because of the time of year we benefited from the light trail at Belton House and the Lincoln Christmas market.

I stayed at Belton Woods Lodges with my family during October half term week. We had an excellent week in very comfortable and quite luxurious accommodation. The lodges are large, set within the lovely grounds of Belton Woods Hotel, and are of a high quality. We had free WiFi and enjoyed the views from the balcony. The facilities in the lodge included a spa bath and a sauna. My grandchildren loved the spa bath but we didn't use the sauna, being mindful of the energy crisis, but used the one in the hotel spa instead. The spa facilities in the hotel were excellent with a good sized pool, sauna and steam rooms and a gym. We used these facilities several times. There was a squash court too. All free to lodge users. Well done to Seasons Holidays for making these lodges available to members. It was a top class week. We thoroughly enjoyed two visits to NT Belton House, just across the road. The house and grounds were impressive, well worth visiting and have a fantastic adventure playground for the kids. We also travelled over to Gibraltar Point on the Lincolnshire coast for a day. It's a spectacular nature reserve. I've never seen so many Skylarks and Reed Bunting in one place! Plentiful Brent Geese too. There are wonderful views across the Wash to Hunstanton with seals resting on sandbanks out to sea and a huge stretch of sandy beach. It was a wonderful week. The lodges are very well located and appointed indeed.

We were so cold we even contemplated leaving and coming home. Electricity traffic went from 11p per unit to 90+ p per unit from April. This meant we could not afford to turn on heating, use dishwasher etc. it was miserable.
After 24 hours there, reception staff kindly warned us that we should expect vey high electricity charges. We’d had 3 little wall heaters on and that had already cost us £70! Hence our turning them off.

It spoiled our holiday. We did not want to end up with £1000 electricity bill for a weeks holiday.
Had we known, we would not have booked.

Room Tip: Beware electricity costs. They could easily be more expensive than rent for the Lodge

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are sorry your experience didn't match your expectations. Regarding the electricity, this was an on-going issue throughout the resort due to the highly priced per kW which was due to the energy contract being renewed which was unfortunately, out of our control. Season's Holiday's have been working hard to find an alternative solution which has now resulted in taking out a new contract. This now means instead of it being 95p per kW it has now been dropped to 28.5p per kW. Although this has still risen from the original price per kW, this has made a considerable difference to the guests as their weekly electricity usage is far more affordable. With this in mind, we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

As an annual visitor to the resort for many years, I love these lodges. It is a shame to see the standards slowly declining. Where once there was a set of 4 copper bottom frying pans, we now have a single steel frying pan. The multiple set of Glasses have been rationalised with some types supplied on request only. A welcome pack that now suggests, "buy-your-own" rather than, "welcome".

The lodges are luxury and have their own sauna. Seasons Holidays, the management company have now decided that the use of saunas is an expensive luxury that uses too much electricity. Despite the fact that we pay in full for every unit of electricity, I was incensed to find that the sauna had been isolated at the consumer unit.

Despite this we are still enjoying the lodge and we are pleased to see the addition of loungers on the balcony. The biggest issue I have is the lack of attention to detail. Nowhere is this more evident than in the shower in the ensuite where there is thick mold on the tiles. See pictures.

Hi John, thank you for taking the time to leave review. Since Seasons Holidays took over in 2019 there have been changes throughout Belton Woods Lodges so we are consistent at all Seasons resorts. As mentioned in your review, all glasses are available on request, we did take out a lot of the glasses that weren't being used consistently during Covid-19 as we found this was wasteful to have glasses sit there collecting dust, therefore we now have whichever glasses' you require on request. This can also be requested before you arrive so the glasses/items are in your lodge for your arrival. Please just let us know in your pre arrival information which you receive 4 weeks before your arrival date. As we are a self catering service, the complimentary 'welcome pack' is there so you are able to make a cup of tea when you arrive as it saves you popping to the shops first thing as we understand that due to our contactless check-in, guests can arrive at different times. Due to the energy crisis we have turned all sauna's off as we found that this is a appliance that uses a lot of phantom energy. As you correctly stated that you pay for the electricity, when you visit us in the future, please let us know if you wish for the sauna to be turned on and we can have this arranged for yourself. Unfortunately, due to the age of the lodges and the location (built into the hillside) we do suffer from damp especially in the bathrooms as they are colder. These are treated on a regular basis however it is a reoccurring problem which we are investigating. We value your business and we ensure you that your feedback is taken seriously, nothing is as important as regaining your trust and we hope you will allow us to continue to provide you with lovely family holidays and memories, that we have done so throughout the years. I hope to be extending our welcome to you, and your family, at Belton Woods Lodges in the near future. Kind regards

Just had a week in a lodge with Husband and two friends. The lodge was excellent very warm clean and comfortable. It was very well equipped had very comfortable beds , tv in all three bedrooms. lovely bathrooms with large walk in showers. The open plan dining kitchen lounge was on the first floor to take advantage of the beautiful views over the golf course.. There was ample parking outside front door for two cars. The grounds are lovely with deer outside in the morning. We ate at the hotel restaurant on two evenings and had lovely food served by friendly staff. The garden centre next to the entrance also served excellent food we enjoyed breakfast there. We would definitely stay again

Stayed in Lodge 24 and thought the lodge was lovely. 3 Modern bathrooms 2 good sized bedrooms good size lounge and kitchen and a large balcony with table and chairs also 2 sun lounges as well. Well kept accommodation with a nice view. The only draw back is that it is a 15 minute walk to the restaurant and bar.

We stayed in the lodges which are lovely- clean and spacious and well equipped. The staff were in general very friendly and helpful and the resort was clean and well presented with some lovely walks around the grounds. We found the meals in the main restaurant over priced however and not as good as we have found in similar hotels. But we would return.

We are sorry to hear about the hotel's restaurant pricing wasn't as you expected - as we are two separate companies please make sure your comments are passed on directly to the hotel . In our facilities document we have a few suggestions of other local restaurants/takeaways that you may find helpful if you fancy somewhere else to eat! When you visit again, we'll ensure that one is attached to your email and you can have a look! We look forward to welcoming you again.

Stayed at the lodge and agree the views are fantastic. Unfortunately the service was not. Considering the amount of money paid for the week you would expect the main bedroom not to smell of damp and the TVs to all be working. One TV didn’t have terrestrial TV at all. The handymen were unable to get it to work and when I complained asking for financial compensation for a ruined break which resulted in us having to leave early , they said sorry not their fault and they are not prepared to compensate me. This is shocking customer service and not acceptable. I wouldn’t recommend Belton Woods.

Hello Max B, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review on your recent experience with us. I’m sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. We have looked into your stay and from our reports I can see that the team did everything they could possibly do to try and resolve the terrestrial tv signal issue within the second bedroom. As explained on a previous email to yourself, the issue was with the cabling that runs underground and within the walls on your lodge that had deteriorated over time, unfortunately, due to the age of the lodges this can happen at any time and without warning. This is a job we have had to outsource as it is beyond the team’s capabilities. However, I can confirm the work has been completed and the terrestrial TV has been re-instated. In 2022 Belton Woods Lodges updated all of the bedroom TVs to smart TV’s that work with the resorts WIFI to avoid situations like these, This was well documented within the Owner Club Minutes that can be found on the Belton Woods Owners Committee website. Whilst I understand your frustration that this TV wasn’t able to access the terrestrial channels, you were provided with an alternative method of accessing these channels and instructions on how to access the live TV through the use of the internal applications. Following your comment with regards to the smell of damp, in your pre-arrival you stated “please ensure no radiators are switched on and the windows are all closed”. As the lodges are built into a grassy bank, without the radiators being turned on during bad/colder weather this is unavoidable. This matter was also never reported during your stay with us, to which if it had been report the team would have assisted and investigated to ensure that there was no damage to the building. From your text message I can see that you made the decision to depart a day before your occupancy was due to end. As a fixed owner, upon your return to us next year, please rest assure that we will endeavour to go through your lodge with a fine-tooth comb and place the heating on prior to your arrival to ensure the smell of damp isn’t present. Kind regards, Kelly

Stayed at Belton wood lodges with 2 friends in order to see the Xmas illuminations at Belton Hall.
The lodges are lovely and very well equipped .
This is my second visit here and I have already booked another trip in January.
Check in is really easy, all done by text. Reception staff and maintenance people are all extremely helpful and very quick to fix any issues.
There are several nice towns to visit within a short drive, we particularly enjoyed a visit to Stamford about 30 minutes away.
