The Angel and Royal Hotel in Grantham is beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned every day, spacious and very neat. Had a wonderful stay. It is close to restaurant, shops and museum. Plenty to do in surroundings too.

We stayed here on New Years Eve and were impressed with the size of the rooms, the quality of the refurbishment and, above all, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Breakfast was fine and served in a dining room of baronial style which befits this historic building.

I am quite a regular here for one thing and another. I like this place, it is probably the most beautiful and characterful place in Grantham to nice drink/food in some historic surroundings. However I was really really upset today - nipped in to enjoy a glass of wine about 3

Dear Linda P, I’m sorry you were left disappointed on your recent visit. We were in fact already & waiting for the imminent arrival of the wedding guests, who started to arrive at 3.05pm followed shortly after by the Bride & Groom at the front of the hotel. Reception drinks & canapes were then served in the bar & lounge area which is held privately & I’m sure this would have been the case at your wedding here. 10 years ago The guests that were already in the bar area were residents & had already offered to leave as soon as the wedding arrived especially due to the weather & that photos were going to be taken inside. We did reopen the bar to non- residents as soon as the bridal party made their way to the Kings room for their 3 course wedding breakfast as we do on every occasion. Regards Jane

A wonderful Christmas meal on Christmas day. The food was great and the decorations were seasonal but not over the top. Diners aged 4-70 were all made to feel very happy and very welcome. Thank you to all staff for such a festive and wonderful afternoon!

What is parking like ?
Sorry for late answering but I have been away! Parking is great - you just get a code from the desk which opens the gate to the park and after parking you just walk across a narrow and very quiet street to the back courtyard of the HOTEL. Lots of spaces available when we went and it is totally dedicated for the Hotel, so you don't have to contend with parking shoppers! For a town centre and historic location, its excellent, but you do have to pay when you settle your bill at reception as there is no where to pay actually in the car park.
