My wife and I wanted a base for a weekend in the south lakes area and were not disappointed by the Corner Beech Guest House.
We were warmly welcomed by the owner Karen who showed us to our room on the first floor overlooking Morecambe Bay, the room was warm, perfectly clean and comfortable with TV/DVD, drink making facilities and on-suite bathroom. There was cupboard just outside our room with DVDs and extra milk and cutlery if required.
The view over the bay even though it was poor weather was constantly changing and was memorizing to look at. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with spare blankets if needed.
The great breakfast had a few options but the full Cambrian set you up for most of the day.
Even though the position is on the main road it was quite with very little noise from the occasion passing car.
Karen was very knowledgeable about the area and suggested a few places to visit and eat in the evening.
Great little place, thanks for having us.

We stayed at this lovely b&b for 3 nights in the middle of September.

On arrival were welcomed by Karen and advised where our room was and given our form to pick our breakfast for the morning.

We found the room to be spacious, bright and pristine.

The rooms had lovely finishing touches including a hair dryer, toiletries, washing up liquid, tea towel, tea and coffee making facilities with a good selection of teas to chose from (which is great if you're a tea lover like me).

There were plenty of different options to chose from for breakfast so naturally, it was important to try a variation which were all good and kept us full for the day of exploring ahead.

Karen and Pete were fantastic hosts, genuine down to earth, they were friendly, funny, knowledgeable and very
accommodating ... nothing was too much.

Would 100% recommend a stay here.

My daughter booked this b&b as our base for a Lakeland mini-break so she took care of all the arrangements. We had a delightful, spotlessly clean twin room. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were excellent and we were told where more could be accessed should we run out. Bathroom toiletries were of very high quality. COVID measures were rigorously adhered to and we felt safe at all times. The hosts could not have been nicer and more helpful. We had to leave early on our first full day there to get to an activity we’d booked so an excellent take away breakfast was provided. We ate breakfast in the next 2 days and on both days the standard both of food and presentation was superb. It was a joy to stay here and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you so much for a lovely experience which I certainly hope to repeat

There is always a friendly welcome and helpful advice on where to go. The breakfasts are fabulous, not too much and always beautifully cooked. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you need, though the pressure of the shower is sometimes a slight problem. This would normally affect my stay but not here as the rest outweighs it. There are a lot of stairs but the view is worth it. It's minutes from the promenade and a short walk into town. Once you've stayed here you really won't stay anywhere else.

We spent two nights at the Corner Beech Hotel and it was fantastic. On arrival we were greeted by Peter who was really friendly and we immediately felt welcomed and settled in. Our room was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view overlooking the bay.
Breakfast was spot on both mornings. The full English was tasty and you could tell it was high quality produce. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Karen was the perfect breakfast host. Attentive and friendly.
The B and B is in a small village hall it’s plenty of shops and places to eat and drink. It’s a 5 min drive from cartmel. Karen and Peter gave us a list of taxi numbers before we arrived so we could get organised. They also chilled our drinks on arrival ready for the races which was greatly appreciated.
Fantastic stay. Fantastic food and the perfect hosts. Will definitely be going back in the future.

We came to stay for a few days relaxing, and wow did we get. Mike and Rach are fantastic so welcoming and helpful speedy to get you checked in and taken to our room. The room are spotless clean with crisp white sheets and fluffy towels, bathroom had extra toiletries which all smelt fantastic, breakfast is pre ordered night before but there is plenty of selection all well presented and cooked well, along with hot tea and coffee breakfast was a real treat. The views from the breakfast room truly take your breath away and could sit there all day. Nothing is to much trouble for Mike and Rach you only need to ask they are so helpful and kind, thank you so much and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Just returned from a fabulous stay at Corner Beech. Rach and Mike are wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was spacious, and overlooked Morecambe Bay, it was lovely to sit and relax whilst looking at the view. The accommodation was spotless and had some lovely touches like complimentary water in your room, fresh milk in a fridge on the landing and the breakfasts were just amazing ! Thank you Rach and Mike, we will be back

We spent an enjoyable 3 days at this excellent guest house. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left, we were made to feel at home.

Rach ‘pulls the strings’ at the front of house whilst Mike is the ‘chief cook and bottle washer’.

Our en-suite room was comfy, spacious and tastefully decorated with all the facilities you’d expect.

The guest house is a great base for the southern lakes and the fancy restaurants found in Cartmel, make sure you take time to check out the bistros, coffee shops and restaurants in Grange-over-Sands.

A high quality breakfast, with plenty of choice, provides a great start to the day.

We look forward to returning during the quieter winter months and will remember to book direct.

A gem of a find at a time when there was flooding in parts UK, we arrived on spec! We were given a warm welcome by Karen. Room at the back with all comforts, en-suite, TV DVD with access to DVD’s, Tea/ Coffee making facilities too. The morning breakfast was amazing- great choice fresh fruits, dried fruits soaked in interesting spices, cereal, croissants, homemade granola...... cooked selection including home grown produce, presented with attention to detail.
Parking on site, Wi fi too. There are some steps to the entrance.

Stayed for a night as a treat in between our January birthdays, what a treat it was.
Great welcome from Karen on our arrival, nothing is too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean with a huge comfy bed.
Breakfast is to die for and is pretty much worth the cost of staying at Corner Beech alone.
Only negative is I have had to purchase two bedside cabinets the same as the ones in our room and we also have a bottle of the very expensive handwash, use it sparingly!
I cannot recommend Corner Beech highly enough. Thanks 👍
