Set right in the heart of the gorgeous village, walking distance to all pubs. Geraldine is so friendly and welcoming, I didn’t meet David but I would imagine he is as welcoming. The room was spacious, clean with everything you need, the beds are comfy too, the breakfast was exceptional, we got more than expected all included in the price, I would highly recommend staying here it is beautiful and homely x

We found Geraldine and her B&B the most wonderful place. The rooms are very big, very clean, in the most idyllic location. The breakfast was fantastic and Geraldine was such a great hostess, very knowledgeable about the area and always happy to pass on some info. Can’t wait to visit her B&B again !

I have stayed at Somerset House on numerous occasions, this was the first time in 18months. Geraldine & Dave are delightful hosts of this genteel establishment. Nothing as ever was too much trouble. A comfortable nights sleep, followed by a delightful. Bypass this B&B at your peril. Chas. Upper Basildon.

We were not expecting to stay, however last minute our plans fell through and we needed to find somewhere local to stay the night we called 10 mins before arriving and Geraldine & David were so kind to us when we needed somewhere to stay, 2 adults, a little dog, a toddler, and a big bag of frozen food. The B&B is absolutely immaculate and very comfortable. Geraldine kindly put our food in her freezer for the night so we didn’t have to throw it away. We had a double, and single bed so comfy. Smells so fresh and clean. She delivered our beautiful continental breakfast to us (other options available) and this included warm fresh buns, presented beautifully. We can’t thank you enough and would certainly recommend this lovely B&B. Thank you once again, Natalie, Scott, Oliver, Missy, and the frozen food 🥰

Booked this for one night very last minute and was not disappointed. Lovely clean room with everything you needed. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We had our breakfast in our room as we had taken our dog and it was lovely. Ideal location, very close to town and shops/cafes. We will definitely book again
