this was our second visit to the Grange Boutique, and it will not be the last! this place is something very special indeed, the luxurious rooms and absolute attention to detail should not be overlooked... we have stayed in both the Butterfly Suite and Lilac Cottage, both are just exquisite, and worth every penny... it is clear that Jackie and the team have worked tirelessly hard to create such a B&B masterpiece, in the tranquil village of Grange over Sands, on the doorstep of the Lakes in North Yorkshire! nothing will ever beat the feeling of a day walking/boating/exploring around Lake Windermere (a short 20 mins drive away), in the warm summer sun, and returning here for your own private spa bath and infrared sauna.. followed by a Michelin star meal in Cartmel (again only 5 mins away!)

Thank you for all your wonderful comments, so happy that you have enjoyed both the Butterfly Suite and the Lilac Cottage :) :) The Infra Red Sauna's are just so relaxing after a long hike!! Now we have just opened the NEW Deluxe Junior Suite with Leopard Print Carpet, and Infra Red Sauna - the Jungle Room, you will have to let us know what you think about that one too. We look forward to meeting you both again, in the meantime, have a lovely Christmas. All Best Wishes, Jackie & Nigel x

We booked this place last minute as we were supposed to be holidaying in spain this week but due to covid restrictions we were unable to go. We were both so disappointed....... We found this place and although it was quite pricey it looked great and we thought we deserved a special night away.

We arrived earlier than planned and we was greeted by Jackie who gave us a really warm welcome and went off to see if our suite was ready and by the time we got our luggage out the car she was ready and waiting to show us around.

The suite has its own private entrance down a few steps, that are well lit in the dark also.
Jackie opened the door and the suite has the 'wow' factor!
The suite is 'huge' you know where your money is being spent! The solid wooden bed is 'huge' the jacuzzi bath is 'huge', and its even got its very own sauna!!!

It has everything and more its got its own well equipped kitchen if you choose to cook your own meals.

We really did make the most of this suite for the one night we was there by relaxing. Just beware once you have climbed on to the bed ,yes I did say climbed (there is a little step provided) that's it you're done for the night.... it just consumes you with its soft bedding a fluffy pillows , you will feel like you have slept on cloud 9 by the morning.

Breakfast was served by the lovely, jovial Jackie via the internal door to our suite at a time that suited us.

We enjoyed a full English breakfast that filled us up for our day at Lake windermere.

Everything you need is on your doorstep too , near to take away places and tesco is literally next door and also has a cash point.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay here and have already recommended it to our friends and family.

We were very lucky to receive this stay as a gift from my mum for Christmas! It was such a beautiful get away and a perfect way to spend time together. It’s always nice to have something to look forward to. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a very practical and cute kitchen, walking through a living room with a fire, into the bedroom with a HUGE jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and then the actual bathroom with an amazing walk in shower. We were so impressed and you also get parking if you stay in the hotel. The lady was so welcoming and friendly and gave us a lot of information about our stay. We also had information in our room too on where to eat and where to go to the next day. She also took our breakfast order for the following morning which I can recommend as it was so delicious! We had a meal at the local restaurant which was only a 5-10 minute walk up the road and there is also a bar underneath a pub where it has every flavour of Gin you could possibly imagine, no kidding.
There is also a Tescos express next door so if you have forgotten anything or grabbing some Prosecco before you head out for your meal, it comes in handy! Shops are closed on Sundays e.g. butchers, cheese shops but we drove into Cartmel where everything is open which I will talk about now.
We were only a 10 minute drive from Cartmel which is famous for its sticky toffee pudding (you must buy some, it is to die for) and there is a lovely walk you can do which took us about an hour to walk. You can do wine tasting and indulge in home made cheeses at the cheese shop too! We definitely recommend to book her as it can get fully booked rather quickly! I fully recommend to stay here for a weekend, it’s so beautiful, plenty to do and plenty to see and so relaxing with a glass of Prosecco in the jacuzzi! I do have more photos but I can’t add anymore!
Enjoy your stay if you go here guys!

Couldn’t of asked for a better experience. We stayed in the butterfly suite at a last minute discounted upgrade, id recommend anyone pays the extra.

You walk in through a private entrance lovely lounge area with fridge and kitchen, very nicely furnished with luxury wallpapers etc.

The comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, it’s simply huge and finished nicely with swans and rose petals. A massive tv and bespoke leather couches and dressing table.

The bathroom is easily the size of a regular hotel room, a double walk in rain shower and double Jacuzi bath really stand out along with his and hers sinks and an infared sauna. We used all these facilities relaxing for an hour or two and would definitely recommend.

Breakfast was delicious and served to your suite, would love for this to continue long term into the future, it really made the trip not having to venture out of bed too early.

Slippers, dressing gowns and toiletries all provided along with hair dryer and plenty of information on the local area. Fridge filled with champagne and Prosecco as an optional supplement, all reasonably priced. Tesco express a 30 second walk.

Only thing I’d say is the photos on the website DO NOT do this suite justice, would be great to see the website modernised with maybe a video walk through of the suite and some more photos as it really is something special and took our breath away at first site. Jackie was a great host and very friendly, we hope to see the grange boutique again.

Thank you for your wonderful review!! We will definitely update the website, as soon as we have a little extra time when the new Suite is open in a few weeks time, lol, we hope!! You will have to try it out next time you visit as it will have a slightly larger sauna, leopard print carpet, and a full leather wall in the bedroom! Look forward to seeing you both again, all Best Wishes, Jackie & Nigel x

This place is absolutely amazing! It is in a good area not far from shops, restaurants and the promenade, it has its own private car park too.
We stayed in Lilac cottage and we did not want to leave!
Jackie was a fantastic host and nothing is to much trouble, she was very helpful and informative and she has made sure to include everything you could need in the apartment.
The apartment was lovely and spotlessly clean. We had a kitchen with all amenities and a good range of teas and coffees, a lounge with log burner and a smart tv ,a wardrobe and dressing table with iron and board, a decent hairdryer, a fan and robes and slippers! The bedroom has a king size bed with was very comfy and has another smart TV. The bathroom is a good size with a huge shower and the toiletries supplied smelt lovely. I especially enjoyed the sauna and spa bath though. Jackie has put in all the finishing touches with rose petals and Swan towels on the bed and candles in the spa bath.
The breakfast supplied was lovely and fresh and you could tell it was quality products used. It was cooked to perfection and brought to our room so we could enjoy it in private. I know this is a covid measure but I really enjoyed having it like that.
Overall i left this place feeling relaxed but I was a bit disappointed to leave and can’t wait to go back!

We stayed in the Lilac Cottage apartment at Grange Boutique Hotel and it was amazing .
The apartment was very dog friendly and had it’s own private entrance making it ideal . The decor and detail that has gone into the rooms was amazing , each room being individually decorated . There was off road parking in front of the hotel for each room .
Our apartment had a fully equipped kitchen and was open plan with a beautiful sitting area with fire . A dressing area , containing an infra red sauna led onto the bedroom , a double jacuzzi bath area and a separate bathroom with large walk in shower .
Our host Jackie , welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the apartment , making sure that we had everything we needed , including giving us information about the area , restaurants, shops and taxi firms that would allow the dog . Jackie & Nigel were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble .
Our breakfast was delivered to the apartment in the morning . There was a good selection to choose from and the food was delicious, being local produce . The eggs benedict was particularly good .
It was the little details that I really loved , the welcome prosecco , the little rose in a vase on the breakfast tray , the swan towels & petals on the bed on arrival - these all added to the welcoming feeling .
The hotel is centrally located within walking distance for all the pubs , shops etc of the town of Grange . It makes a great base for exploring the nearby parts of the Lakes , such as nearby Cartmel and is half an hour drive from Windermere.
I would definitely recommend and will return if staying in this area again .

My partner booked this for a birthday weekend away. We stayed in the separate apartment 'Lilac Cottage'.
The apartment is really very lovely with lots of room. Decorated really nicely with a good standard finish. The kitchen is well stocked and has an induction hob as well as the usual toaster/kettle/microwave.
There is a gas 'log burner' that gets the apartment really warm and we felt comfortable the whole time we were there in December.
The bedroom has a large bed which is really comfortable, we both slept well.
The bathroom was really good with walk in shower, under floor heating and excellent towels.
There is a separate jacuzzi bath which was delightful to have.

There was a warm welcome and introduction to the apartment, breakfast was brought to the apartment in the morning and Jackie was really helpful.

I can highly recommend this as somewhere to stay for a couple.

We stayed here for 3 nights last week with our cockapoo Murphy. The host Jacky couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Set in a fabulous location within easy reach of Windermere and the beautiful village of Cartmel. Amazing cooked or Continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning to minimise contact during Covid crisis. Couldn't fault a thing. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again. Thank you Jacky.

My partner and I have recently returned from a fantastic stay in Grange over sands and in particular this Hotel.
Upon arrival we was greeted by Jackie who showed us to our room and informed us of any local we may need to know including recommendations for food and activities to do during our stay.

The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed, a relaxing spa bath, a smart TV with Netflix ETC and equally relaxing shower.

The service was great during these challenging times, we would simply text Jackie if we needed anything and it would be left out side our room at the earliest convenience.
Breakfast was delicious and kept us going for the most of the day.

Couldn't recommend this place enough and if we ever return to Gramge over sands this will be our first choice for accommodation.

Thankyou Jackie for helping make our stay a fantastic one :)

Dave and Cally :)

This place really has the wow factor. The photos of the room did not do it justice. We stayed in Lilac cottage which was a huge apartment with it’s own private entrance. We loved every feature especially the sauna and jacuzzi bath. It was a great place to unwind and relax. The icing on the cake was the breakfast, beautifully prepared and delivered to the room. We were spoilt for choice. Not a lot to do locally but close enough to the lakes for days out. Thank you Jackie & Nigel for a wonderful stay.
