Although this is a bed and breakfast, once inside your room you will feel like you are luxuriating in one of London’s five star luxury hotels. The rooms in Bay Villa are very big, and sumptuously provided for with every thing you could possibly need during your stay, Including a parking permit which is great to have in the busier part of the season.
The Old Library overlooks Morecambe Bay which is great if you are interested in bird spotting. Grange over Sands has a wide range of retail shops, good restaurants and cafés.
On arrival we found the dining table in the large bay window already laid beautifully and ready for breakfast in the morning.
The bed in this room is a solid four poster. The mattress (made to order for the owners) is supremely comfortable and supportive. Excellent pillows and crisp linen.
The attractive modern decor of the ensuite shower room is a contrast to the country house opulence of the bedroom and dining area. Well provided for with premium products and good towelling. Slippers and bathrobes also.
Breakfast is served in your room by the charming manageress. The breakfast menu is comprehensive, food professionally cooked and beautifully plated. Helpings are large.
This is a place to linger in.
Another room down the short, sumptuously decorated hallway, The Estuary, although just as sumptuous as The Old Library this room has a more contemporary feel with a dressing room between the large bedroom and ensuite showerroom. Again, a four seater dining table laid for breakfast in the window overlooking Morecambe Bay.
There is absolutely nothing to fault in this establishment, and the discreet but first class service and breakfast cookery makes it a gem in the Lakeland tourist offering.

Rebecca was absolutely lovely and welcoming. The room was really generous with enormous windows overlooking the Bay. Breakfast was served to us in the room which we ate upon the large table and chairs to eat next to the window (there was plenty of space). A menu was provided but we were told to mix and match, make substitutions and add as many instructions as we wished to make it how we wanted. We kept to the menu and it was all delicious!

Really nice place and hard to know how it could be improved, thanks for the lovely stay!

WOW 🤩 WOW was my first reaction when we were first Shown to our room, it was absolutely amazing, spotless and beautifully presented in every way, it’s way better than some five star hotels that I have ever stayed in. Lynn was incredible from beginning to end she’s like a machine God knows how she does it all five stars to Lynn alone. I’ve not stopped raving about Bay View Villa since we returned home.

We stayed for one night, whilst visiting Cartmel, which is literally a £8 taxi fare away. The first night we stayed in L enclume, believe me this is better.
The rooms are huge, beautifully appointed, with added touches such as complimentary wine and crisps.Breakfast is bought to your room, which you eat at your table over the bay. We have already booked for October.

Firstly I'd like to thank Lynn and Rebecca for taking care of us we had the most amazing weekend away just myself and my husband. Breakfast in the room was a lovely touch and we were very impressed with all the COVID-19 precautions in place and felt very safe.
We ate at the pub next-door on the Saturday and were impressed with the food and we ordered in on Sunday night using the takeaway basket in the room which we thought was a great idea.
We stayed in Silverdale and the free standing bath was the main reason I booked it! We got a lovely bottle of prosecco too.
We will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much for such an amazing stay.

Margaret gave us a fabulous, friendly welcome and she was very informative. She was really great and has literally thought of everything to make her guests relaxed and as happy as possible. Lovely thoughtful touches throughout. We were totally shocked at the size of the room and the size of the bed. It was just totally amazing with absolutely stunning views of Morecombe Bay. There is an extra dressing room and drinks area with a fridge with fresh milk and special thoughtful treats for us, of the highest quality. The Estuary is pure luxury & we were treated like Royalty. Lynn served our breakfast in our room each day and she was just lovely. Really happy, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. She works so hard but always has a smile on her face & is there for you if you need her. She was fabulous. She text directions on the day we were coming & they were such a massive help. You could not wish for a better hotel or be looked after any better. The bed is so comfortable, its perfect. The shower is so powerful and hot & the toiletries are divine. Everything is exquisite & our stay was incredible and amazing value for money. There are a lot of places to eat that are really nice but most of them close early around 4pm so on an evening you are a little bit limited if you don't want to drive. The Estuary and Amber Court Chinese are great. The promenade is great for walking and the railway station is only a very short 5/10 minute walk along it or you can walk through the Ornamental Garden which is really lovely. You can buy a large bag of food for the ducks from the honesty box for £1 but be careful as once you start feeding the ducks all the birds will come flying towards you. We got trains all over as the train station is so close. If you fancy driving Cartmel is only 15 mins away and is well worth visiting with a lot of absolutely fabulous pubs & restaurants and there is a racecourse in the middle of the village. Its a lovely place. Haversmith Steam Train is a brilliant day out & you have options for a cruise to Ambleside or Bowness or to visit the Aquarium. We really enjoyed it and Lakeside is stunning, where the steam train stops. The train to Ulverston was only 15 minutes too. If you need to buy rail tickets, you get a discount for 2 travelling at the same time but the Ticket Office closes at 2.15pm if you are wanting information. If not you can get tickets on the platform from the machine. The location here is a fantastic base for visiting so many places in the Lakes.

Our visit to Bay Villa was a truly memorable couple of nights. Correspondance with both Margaret and Lynn at every stage was clear and reasuring our booking was managed professionally. A wonderful warm welcome awaits when you arrive. Lynn's hospitality is first class, she goes the extra mile to please ensuring you will not want for anything. Exquisit taste throughout the home, each suite is unique with special attention to detail. Lovely complimentary treats in room. Breakfast is amazing, a superb choice inc what I consider should be mandatory on holiday #bloodmary . For a special treat and a 5 star experience look no further. Great location to explore Lakes and many surrounding places of interest. I can highly recommend and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing property, expertly managed by Lynn looking over the Morcambe Bay. Stayed in the Silverdale room, with its roll top bath and view to die for, breakfast was taken in the room prepared to 5* standard by Lynn with a vast choice of options including gluten free, you wont go hungry, that's for sure. It has the advantage of being on the coast and so close to the southern Lakes for plenty of adventures.
In our opinion you will not find a better place to stay in the Lakes, walking in will leave you breathless and with Lynn's attention to detail, you will not go wrong.
You will not want to get out of the bath, with or without water in. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights (visited nearby L’Enclume for dinner one night and next door at the Commodore the other night).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay Villa. Admittedly the sun was out during our stay but this is unique place to stay.

Friendly welcome. Great room with a great view of the bay. It’s a bit like a home from home. A spacious room and a nice en-suite. We couldn’t find anything we didn’t like (not that we were looking!) We’d have liked a good Nespresso coffee machine as kettles are what one would expect at such a nice establishment.

Breakfast is superb, plenty of choice - gluten and dairy intolerances are well catered for. And it’s served in your room which is really nice. Quality cutlery, white table cloths and so on. It really couldn’t be faulted.

We slept like logs.

May be some of hallway decor isn’t to everybody’s taste but the rooms are comfortable, large, and well presented. Bathrobes, slippers etc are provided.

Car parking is moments away by foot, just below the villa.

The Commodore next door, which you don’t hear any noise from, serves reasonable pub style food.

We look forward to returning hopefully.

We stayed for 1 night over the weekend and the whole stay from start to finish was amazing. We stayed in the Silverdale room and it is beautiful, Immaculate, spacious, comfortable, had everything you would need for an overnight stay and more, and on top of all that, had a wonderful view. We loved the idea of breakfast being served in the room and the breakfast was delicious- with plenty of choice. Lynn the lady who welcomed us and served our breakfast was polite, cheerful, professional and enabled us to feel very welcome. It was my husbands birthday and there was sparkling wine in ice with 2 cup cakes waiting for us on arrival, such a lovely thought. What a lovely stay.
