Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place but underdeveloped in some ways. Marina a bit tacky. Coffee shop at caravan site awful. There used to be Coffee shop but that's gone. Easter weekend you would think they might have a mobile Coffee shop. I have been to Roe Park beautiful Coffee shop. You can meet with friends any time of year for lunch. Fermanagh tourism a joke.

This is a great place to take a long walk through woods and lake settings. The cafe makes for a nice treat after. There is no home to see any more and museum is basic , but free! There are lots of water activities and you can hire boats, canoes , bikes etc.

Fantastic stay from start to finish. Great welcome and efficient check in. All pitches have access to electric and plenty of space to select your spot. Bathrooms and washing up areas really clean and easily accessable. Lovely family atmosphere with plenty of activities to do for the kids (young and old) Nice bar and restaurant also available. Gets very busy at the weekends so if you can a mid-week stay may be a better option.

Do not stay hear, you sign a policy of no noise after 11pm but yet you have other residents of large vans pissing outside there caravans drunk and shouting and singing into the early hrs. Complained to the office on the Saturday morning for them to send some worker up to look around and not say anything to the campers. My first and last time at this campsite. They will take your money and get you to sign waivers but do absolutely nothing to assist. My advice STAY AWAY better campsites else where.

I'd been recommended to visit Castle Archdale with our tent by several people but after getting washed out too many times we decided to try glamping for the first time. I'd booked around March to prevent disappointment and only read the reviews on here the morning before we left and was a bit worried! I need not have concerned myself. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and checked in with very friendly office staff. We signed a noise agreement and paid a deposit of £150 for potential damages to the pod. I was a bit surprised by that but when we saw the pods I can understand why, but maybe this should be communicated better on booking, (or at least I hadn't remembered). They appeared and still smell brand new and seemed gorgeous (see photos). We explored the forest walks, checked out the marina (we had booked activities with Erne Adventures over the stay) and the facilities on site. There is only a kettle and a microwave to 'cook' with and a small fridge. We had planned to BBQ on day 1 and we're lucky to find two bricks beside our pod to place the BBQ on (the lovely 8 seater picnic table didn't have a stand to place it safely on) but they were removed the next day. We were really impressed with the ice cream parlour, take away and bar/restaurant. We had cash with us after reading the reviews. ... The ensuite and fitted bed in the pod were like heaven to us who usually are in a tent and the wifi and TV with a Netflix account was the icing on the cake for my pre-nagers. We set up the pull out couch and that was where the improvements are needed. Although the site provides clean and comfy bedding and the sofa was great for sitting on, how it passed for sleeping on is beyond us. We could feel every spring in the mattress and neither my son or myself who had drawn the short straws, got much sleep that night. The next day the office staff were apologetic and provided a mattress topper however it was too small and we asked for another quilt to be placed on top of the mattress. They provided one no problem and a better sleep was had thankfully. There were no noise issues at all over our stay. A great stay overall, in super little pods that were extremely clean and warm but just needed a little BBQ grill and perhaps a different sofa bed.

Been coming here a few years now and have to say I’m disappointed seems to be less to do every year you come down, the weekend we stayed the weather wasn’t great, live singer in the bar in the evening but yet you aren’t allowed kids in the bar after 9pm? It’s a family camp site so what use is that to anyone! Last year when we stayed there was live music outside and we sat on picnic tables enjoyed the music while kids played in the park! The big inflatable trampoline has been been deflated the last couple of years is this just being left like this??? The toilets you have to use in the evening are disgusting no sanatury bins in the toilets for the ladies. No atm or cash back available on site and the chippy and the Pizza Hut only take cash, asked the girl in the chippy if I could pay by card and she just threw it up infront of me was quite rude! Have always loved coming here but think the place needs a massive revamp and more on for the kids!

Tried to book available accommodation but wasnt able to due to inflexible policies. Be careful as the calendar availability online doesn't match actual availability. Two night minimum bookings on camping pods even if they're lying empty in between. Mobile homes are sat - sat bookings so very strange that the calendar shows mid week availability that you can't book. Only part- tim3 staff on site so no one to oversee or deal with queries.

Stayed here for a few years now and things have constantly went downhill. Went to check in and was handed a sheet of paper to sign about noise levels after 11, no electric scooters, break the rules and your kicked off site. Perfect! Exactly how it should be. Signed it and moved on into the park itself. First night, 11pm and the local rave at lough began. We got the kids indoors, changed for bed and got them down for the night. Thankfully they were tired so wasnt too bad. 2am came round and a young fella no older than 10 was rallying round on his bike, shouting abuse at the top of his voice. Called him over to tell him to have some manners to which he replied, "I'm telling my Da on you!". Before shooting off on his bike, still with no sign of his "Da". Next day, my wee girl near got clipped by another young fella on his electric scooter. So that also didn't sit well. Safe to say, we wont be back. Don't put "rules" in place if you wont enforce them. Thanks!
