Had my daughters wedding here. Could not fault the staff, food lovely. Couple of minor issues that were rectified immediately. Grounds stunning!! My daughters bridal suite was amazing. Only draw back was prices at bar but overall would defiantly recommend! Thank you for a great day 👍🏻

Beautiful setting and lovely winter destination for lunch/afternoon tea or dinner, especially in winter when the fires are lit and the Christmas trees are up. Attended the Christmas event and luncheon this week, demo's interesting, especially the florists. The chef could have chosen something more viable to share with the group and shouldn't have really been touching artic roll after... More

I am always a little nervous booking English Country Hotels as so many have become slightly tired conference venues and with its location so handy to Heathrow I was a little apprehensive. However the magnificence of the photos of the Historic Rooms tempted me so I thought it was worth a chance. I took my sister along as her Christmas... More

We stayed at this hotel last week and wow amazing! The front of the hotel is stunning a 15th century building. The room we stayed in was the Italian, if you want a room in this hotel that's fits in with the 15th century feel then this is it. Original furniture, large space and wonderfully clean. With a room like... More

Attended a beautiful wedding here. The house is stunning and has gorgeous gardens. If the weather was better drinks outside would have been beautiful. The wedding reception hall itself is absolutely breathtaking. It looks like a Tudor barn. The food was lovely and the service was good too. Would have been better if our waiter knew English a bit better... More

Back for their wonderful Sunday Lunch. The service is wonderful at this place with ever-so efficient & friendly staff. The food itself is Perfection--I cannot fault anything that was put on the plate in front of me. This hotel is very special, As soon as we stepped through the ancient front door into the beautiful hall we were welcomed and wonderfully looked after throughout our twenty-four hour stay. Although only a standard bedroom in the main house, it had everything we wanted including a stunning view of the amazing gardens, and the attention to detail was exceptional.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Probably built as a Royal Hunting lodge and very much a stately home since the 16th century, Great Fosters is now a prestigious hotel, awarded 4 red stars by the AA. Set amongst 50 acres of gardens and parkland, the hotel is a Grade One listed building blessed with the grandeur of 16th century England and luxurious modern facilities. Its past is evident in the mullioned windows, tall chimneys, fireplaces and brick finials, while the Saxon moat, crossed by a Japanese bridge, surrounds three sides of the formal garden. All the suites and bedrooms are individually decorated. The bedrooms in the Main House are adorned with tapestries and antiques, whilst the bedrooms in The Cloisters are more contemporary in style. The refurbished Coach House offers luxurious accommodation with the latest plasma screens, i-pod docking stations and fabulous bathrooms. The hotel has two restaurants - The Estate Grill has been awarded two rosettes by the AA and serves a simple and seasonal menu with many of the dishes using produce grown on the estate and cooked on a Josper grill. The Tudor Room was awarded a Michelin star and three rosettes by the AA in October 2016 and is an intimate sophisticated restaurant open for lunch on a Thursday & Friday and for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday inclusive. ... more   less
