Probably built as a Royal Hunting lodge & very much a stately home since the 16th century, Great Fosters is now a hotel, awarded 5 stars by the AA in December 2022. Set in 50 acres of gardens & parkland, the hotel is a Grade One listed building blessed with the grandeur of 16th century England & luxurious facilities. Its past is evident in the mullioned windows, chimneys & fireplaces, while the Saxon moat, crossed by a Japanese bridge, surrounds three sides of a formal garden. The 56 bedrooms are individually decorated. Rooms in the Main House are adorned with tapestries & antiques, while the bedrooms in The Cloisters & Coach House are more contemporary. The hotel has two restaurants - The Estate Grill holds 2 AA rosettes & serves a simple seasonal menu with many dishes using produce grown on the estate. The Tudor Pass, headed up by Executive Chef Alex Payne offers a tasting menu & is an intimate restaurant open for lunch & dinner Wednesday - Saturday. The summer months bring dining al fresco and the hotel has plenty of terraces on which to enjoy afternoon tea, lunch or supper whilst overlooking beautiful gardens. Great Fosters has heated outdoor pool (open April - October) complete with 1930s listed bathing huts and three treatment rooms.

A group of senior management recently stayed as "Thank You" for attaining an award of "Outstanding" for our business. I booked Great Fosters because as a regular guest of some 25 years, I knew this beautiful and magnificent historical house and gardens would not fail to impress and spoil my colleagues. From the booking to our departure, we were given an impeccable 5* service. On entering, one immediately notices the decorations and Christmas trees which were beautifully adorned, and together with the smell of the wood burning fires, created a festive, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great Fosters very kindly upgraded some rooms to the most stunning suites with everything you need, including a Christmas tree! We had amazing pre-dinner drinks in the cosy cocktail bar, followed by a delicious dinner in the Wine Room. Compliments were sent to the kitchen, especially for the lamb dish that was sublime. Breakfast the next morning was perfect and again, we were very well attended. Great Fosters staff made this a truely memorable evening for us with perfect but unobtrusive service, and we would like to thank all the staff, especially Archie and Cladwell in the cocktail bar for looking after us until well past closing time, Henry in the restaurant and the restaurant manager (sorry we did not get your name), the wonderful lady who checked us in from the reception team, and of course Nancy from the reservation team who did our initial booking. Arrived late 11pm , booked just before, checked in smoothly, after I missed a connection flight. Had no hope to find a dinner, but found it although the kitchen was closed: The night manager Abdi Mezned himself cooked a steak with salad on demand! Great experience. That’s what you need when you get stuck im between two flights!

Last weekend we had a lovely event at Great Fosters hotel. We were a family group celebrating my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary. My parent's wanted a special dinner to mark the occasion. We had quite a logistical journey to the meal, as the event originally suffered a last minute blow. With just 24hrs to go to the dinner in September, both my 80+ year old parent's tested positive for Covid. Having made the hotel aware of this, without asking them, they so kindly offered for us to reschedule the date, which came as a massive relief. Molly the hotel's Events Executive worked wonders throughout. We very much appreciated it and the support from the management. When the revised dated arrived we had a lovely celebration, being looked after by Hanna and her team. Beautiful location and lovely atmosphere. Good food and well hosted. Thank you all. We were greeted with a smile from Charlie. We were a little early, so had lunch in the bar overlooking the immaculate gardens. We stayed in the Tapestry room, which was simply gorgeous! Our favorite was the tub in the spacious bathroom. All the staff are super friendly. Special shout out to Abdi (who made me a latte at 4:30am!) , Juan who hunted down more coffee for our room, and Joe who was always on hand to help with anything. It was very apparent that the reception manager, Mr Galgoczi, took special care of every detail of the experience for guests. We will definitely return for another wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

We called yesterday Great Fosters , to come for teas in the cocktail bar which was super relaxing and we were amazed by the grounds and Fernando’s professional and dedicated service for us . We will definitely come again 😊

We had our miniature wedding here and invited 22 guests for a private dining experience. It was a fantastic experience, the food delivery was super professional and efficient and there dining room is beautiful. We stayed in the Queen Anne sweet which is a huge beautiful room and we were provided with every comfort possible. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a private dining experience or even a short stay. We dealt with the event manager Jenna who was super accommodating and extremely helpful. Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful overnight stay, a relaxing day by the pool and a lovely massage from Abdi, would highly recommend! Service in the restaurant was very slow but they had a wedding at the hotel so that may have contributed. Dinner was lovely, drinks were lovely, breakfast was ok, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay not far from Heathrow.. Beautiful grounds and attentive service. Abdi at the Night desk was super helpful and friendly! I had to leave early to the airport and he made me a latte and gave me to go food !
