Have just stayed the night in this lovely hotel, the staff and Barry the owner very friendly , the rooms were spotlessly clean the food superb and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Will definitely go back again.
Visited last week for a few days with some mates on our annual shooting break. Barry (landlord) as hospitable as ever and trying very hard to get everything right for people in these unusual times. Don't be put off by negative commenst about Barry - he has a dry sense of humour that you'll appreciate if you tune in and insult him first! Good country pub, friendly locals and a spotless rooms/gardens. We'll be back!
Strange from the beginning and only got worse...We were told there was no table booked despite calling lunchtime on the day to book. Main course was average bar food nothing special but fine. Deserts looked like they were made by a child and tasted stale. We went to pay, at the bar. The landlord had to be told by another customer to stop watching telly and serve us. His manner was rude from then on. Moaning about us paying by card, despite us paying more than the bill amount (not sure why we tipped in retrospect). After telling him I thought he was rude he continued to moan about my card payment even as we walked out the door. Terrible customer service. Would not return and not sure how this place has got such a high trip advisor rating. The only positive was the waitress who was polite and attentive, even more commendable considering her employer.…
A superb country inn in a lovely location close to the main towns. Lovely warm welcome, easy check in and given a tour of the rooms before choosing one. All rooms are clean, airy and very well equipped. I chose to eat in the restaurant and was not disappointed. The menu had a good variety of meals, starters and desserts all reasonably priced. presetation of the food was good and both the starter and main were delicious. The staff were very attentive without being over bearing. The hotel owner is a very friendly and maintains the property to a very high standard. Breakfast was also very good and once again there was a varied selection of cold and hot food options. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend the property for business, couples and families. The hotel is in the centre of the village and has a very arge level car park.…
Stayed for 4 nights in a lovely large room at the front of the building. This is one of the cleanest pubs I have ever stayed in. The landlord and all the staff were very friendly, the food was good and the location ideal for touring around the area. A real bargain too, if your looking for accommodation in this area you can't go wrong by staying here.
