Detailed Reviews
What a lovely place to stay ! We stayed for 2 nights and wished that we could have stayed for more. We were greeted by Daphne & the dogs all of who were very friendly, Daphne showed us to our room which was large & comfortable with a big bathroom en-suite with a shower over bath with a screen & not a curtain which I was so pleased about as I don't like shower curtains , Daphne asked us if we would like tea or coffee & cake which she served to us in the conservatory which had fantastic views , we had homemade lemon drizzle cake & rocky road cake mmmm. We had a lovely walk round the farm & enjoyed the views and a great chat with Phil. We were able to store our cycles in a dry & secure shed . Daphne booked tables for us for evening meals at local pubs . Breakfasts on both mornings were good and plentiful with lots of choices & homemade jam , marmalade & bread. We will definitely stay again & would not hesitate to recommend it

We only had time to stay for one short night's stay unfortunately but we would have liked to stay for longer. Our host, Daphne, is very welcoming and engaging with helpful advice on places to eat etc. There is a good selection of foods for breakfast including Full English. The Buttercup family room was a good size and very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and TV. There is a good sized fridge with freezer compartment on the landing too. Best views over the valley are from the rear of the farmhouse including the large breakfast conservatory. We look forward to staying here again if the opportunity arises.

We were certainly impressed by this wonderful accommodation. It was superbly clean and well-kept. The hostess Daphne made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed learning about her farm. Breakfast in the conservatory offered stunning views and if you are lucky you might even see a squirrel!

We tried to do the review request sent by Daphane but we do not have Facebook. We have stayed with Daphane and Phil before and as always it was a wonderful time. It is a real homely feel and they are great people with lots of knowledge of the area and places to go. Phil told us about a great Fish and Chip shop in Coleford called The Tramway a must to go to great fish and lovely people. Also Symonds Yat a fantastic view..The Rooms are very clean and large and comfy beds we had Buttercup and Primrose as we went with my inlaws. The guest lounge and conservatory are beautiful and a lovely welcome tea and cake was offered on arrival which we admired the view while having the tea as we were rather full to be able to accept the cake (next time though) The breakfast choice was excellent and well cooked and freshly made bread nothing to complain about love this bed and breakfast and will be back to stay hopefully for longer. Thankyou Daphane and Phil so much
Tips for Travellers - The Tramway fish and Chips great view and Symonds Yat fabulous view. They do have a scramble with motorbikes in a field just up from the Bed and Breakfast 14 times a year exciting to watch this although we were just leaving the day they were there though.
You must go and stay here as just a great place to explore and feel like one of the family

What a find!
If you are looking for a cosy place to stay then look no further. This lovely old farmhouse, with beautiful view from Conservatory was perfect for an overnight stay. I imagine the garden in warmer months, is a real sanctuary .
Daphne is a fabulous host and the breakfast was as delicious as other reviews had raved about. A great selection of fruit, cereals and yoghurt, followed by and our choice, a traditional cooked feast that set us up for the day. Highly recommended.

We were recommended Dryslade Farm by a member of our family who lives locally. We stayed in buttercup, and my parents stayed in the room adjacent (primrose I think).
Daphne & Phil are wonderful hosts as well as lovely people, they went above and beyond for us during our stay - loaning us raincoats when we decided to stay an extra night and didn’t have anything suitable for walking in the Yat when the weather turned.
The farm is a working farm, and the house is cosy and traditional on all accounts.
I definitely concur re the breakfasts here…
Absolutely delicious!!!!
I can’t recommend this place enough.
Thank you so much Daphne & Phil.

We stayed for a couple of nights with our dog in Buttercup room in April. Highlights for us were the very tasty and full breakfasts in the conservatory with lovely views over the garden and countryside beyond, two evening walks to eat in the dog friendly Dog and Muffler pub, and the quiet rural surroundings. Daphne and her husband were very welcoming.

A wonderful find & a true home from home. Daphne & Phil were so welcoming & helpful & the tea & homemade cakes on arrival was a great addition. The bedroom & en-suite had everything you needed & the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast is without doubt probably the best we have ever had away from home. Thank you Daphne & Phil, we will be back x

We stayed 5 nights while we did various activities in the Forest of Dean. Daphne is a wonderful host and the breakasts were amazing. After pinching all her toffees, it was the least we could do to write a review.
The house is over 200 years old with lots of character. Low beams, creaky floors etc. But we rather liked that.
It is quite dark at night. We saw the milky way (faintly) and some shooting stars from the back garden one night.
PS/ Don't drive your car down 'Folly Lane'. No matter what your Sat Nav says!

I have stayed here several times. Daphne is always welcoming, the rooms are exceptionally clean and there is nothing that you could want that is not provided for. But, the breakfast is the best. A good selection of fresh fruit and yogurt and then a generous full English if you want it and served hot at the table.
