Detailed Reviews
A fantastic holiday park. We stayed here as a family of four with a toddler and a baby and we had a great time.
The site is beautiful and very well maintained. Flowers everywhere and a lovely river along the side. They had a small park on-site and a larger one just outside the gates. Staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was to much to ask.
We stayed in a gold and it had so much space for us all. It had a double bedroom with space with the wardrobe doors open for a travel cot, (which can be hired from site), and a bedroom with two singles. Both rooms had lots of storage space and shelves.
The sitting area had a table for meals which could easily fit us all and large sofas. We could fit a play matt for my daughter with lots of extra room.
The kitchen was fully equipped for everything you will need including cleaning products and a hoover which was extra helpful for Sandy beach days for the car.
The bathroom was large with a great size shower which was handy for young children. Lots of space to store products and tooth brushes.
We were really glad to have gone for the gold as they have a seating area outside which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings.
The place for very clean when we arrived, the only fault I could say was there was mould behind the curtains but I think that’s a common problem with static homes.
They have a shop onsite which sell everything you may need or have forgotten. I though the shop was very well priced. If you can’t find what you need Tesco is just down the road. The shop sells beach item and little gifts and souvenirs for children. We did a click and collect order from a supermarket on the way in for food to save time.
I expected it to be quite loud being the summer holidays and the first holiday season after Covid restrictions but it was so peaceful on site. We hardly heard anyone else.
There is a lots of local beaches with good parking meaning you can avoid the busy Bournemouth main beach if you wanted too. Peppa World is 30 min away if you can deal with the theme tune on repeat all day . . . The children loved this day out.
We will definitely be staying again. Thanks for a fab family holiday!

I have never stayed here before and we rented 2 static homes for the 5 of us to stay in comfort. The site is immaculately kept with no signs of rubbish or disrepair. We stayed in E18 which was convenient as very near to the rivers edge. I would say there are about 15 -17 swims on the site and you get tickets from the reception. You can fish in the field below the site but we never tried that area. We had an issue at 11pm that our gas bottle ran out. I called the emergency warden and he was at our plot and changed both bottles in 10 mins of the call. You can’t ask for more than that so cannot fault the place. Michelle on reception was very friendly and helpful throughout. I hope to return and have another go for the barbel which eluded us this time

We’ve just returned from a week at this lovely site, we hired a beautiful caravan which was extremely well equipped , spotlessly clean and ideal for us and friends. The site is ideally situated for using local buses to visit the surrounding towns and beaches. The site and area is very quiet and there are walks along the river which we enjoyed.
We have booked again for 2021.

We stayed for a week in one of their Comfort vans, 1 double and a twin.
The site is clean and well maintained and perfectly located so that visiting beaches, Moors Valley, Monkey World, Poole, etc. are all just 10-45mins away.
There were two food vans which visited the site which was nice and their menus were posted outside reception in advance.
Only downsides were that the washers and dryers worked out to be rather expensive.
Lots of sirens and fireworks heard in the surrounding area of a night time (obviously no fault of the site).
Looking forward to staying again and bringing more family along.

We had a very nice time visiting our friends herd last weekend and impressed with the how well this holiday place is kept.
Lovely koi fish pond at the entrance after the visitor’s car park.
Nice landscaping and clean with an accessible side of the Stour River where fishing is allowed but you’ll have to release them back into the river humanely.
There’s benches along the river bank for relaxation or just bring a picnic blanket or folding chairs.
All visitors are on resident’s invitation only with permission from management to enter.
We had a lovely afternoon of tea and enjoyed the surroundings.

Just returned after spending 14 nights on this lovely ,peaceful , exceptionally well kept caravan park. All Covid rules were in place , and were very clear . The toilets and showers were spotless, the wash basins etc sparkling clean . B
To be honest I think the cleanliness of this site has been the Cleanest we have seen in the 47 years of caravaning. My daughter hired one of the statics , was described as the comfy range , because had no decking. Not a problem , again for a rental caravan spotless, could not fault anything . Beautifully kept .
The family of Meadowbank should be so proud themselves . It is a credit to your family
Very happy holiday maker

Wonderful site, very quiet and clean staff are very polite and helpful. Great for fishing easy access to Throop and can fish part of river from the site. After a not so pleasant prebooked planned overnight stop at Glebe Leisure for the trip down we were told by a very rude woman would have to find somewhere else to stay as we was stuck in a 2 1/2 hour accident on M6 that we would be 50 mins past their 7pm check in time.
Meadowbank could not have been more understanding we phoned to ask if they had any lay by's near the site or a carpark we could use. They said "they had 1 space left and not a problem we can put you up on one of our campervan pitches, take your time dont rush trying to get here just be safe" letting us arrive at 10.15pm. They left us a map on the reception door so we could find our temporary electric pitch for the night until our main pitch became free the next day and let us set up as soon as the previous caravan had left at 10.30am.

Meadow bank kindly offered me a static caravan to live in, so I could could protect my 5yr old son and my husband who needed to shield from the Covid-19 pandemic. The caravan and grounds was amazing, clean spacious and homely. The team at Meadow bank looked after me and my colleagues so well throughout. The park is by the beautiful river Stour, which provided peaceful and tranquil walks as well as a place to go for a run.

First of all I couldn’t believe how cheap the caravan was, £385 for a week over the bank holiday. I was a bit dubious when I booked it, but we had a fantastic time.
We arrived late to our caravan and it was no problem at all for the friendly staff. We were quickly and efficiently checked in and shown where our caravan was.
The site itself was beautiful. The river was a lovely walk around the site too. I have never been to such a peaceful caravan site before.
The caravan was spotless when we arrived and even came with a complimentary bottle of bubbly in the fridge.
Will definitely be staying again if we come down to Christchurch/Bournemouth for our holiday.
Absolutely wonderful, thank you for a lovely week ☺️

I think so but you would have to check .
I reckon the nearest beach is Bournemouth which is a five minute drive away. However you could also visit Sandbanks in Poole that is around a 15 minute drive or Mudeford which is around 10 minutes away. Mudeford is brilliant for crab-lining. Hope this helps

United Kingdom100 contributions85 helpful votesDoes anyone know whether we're allowed to use a fire pit on the touring site? Obviously the kind that has a mesh lid to prevent embers escaping! There's nothing better than a proper campfire. Nothing in the T&C's cover this topic. Thanks
Sorry - that makes no sense whatsoever. In other words: a flat grill with meat on top is fine; but a domed grill with marshmallows on the end of sticks isn't? Hmm... incidentally we are here at the moment, and many folks are using wood / charcoal barbies and firepits. So all is well ;) Thank you anyway x
