My first bed and breakfast experience and one of the best holiday times I had! Stefanie was so kind and the place is clean and very beautiful. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms and had more than enough space for two people. We added breakfast spontaneously and it was no problem at all. I hope to go back some day, big thanks to Stefanie and her beautiful place!

My husband and I stayed three nights at the Westcot B&B. The hosts were very welcoming and informative about events going on in town and suggestions for restaurants. They prepared luscious baskets of food and set outside our room each morning. The B&B was perfectly located and within easy walking to restaurants and shops. We ventured out in a different direction by car each day. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Very sympathetic hosts. The room is perfectly equipped (fan and fridge). The best breakfast ever in a bed and breakfast (every day a little different and prepared with love). Very well located (supermarket and restaurants right next door).

Callander is a beautiful little town set in wonderful scenery. Westcot itself is ideally placed just at the edge of the centre of town, placing it within easy walking distance of all amenities, whilst retaining an air of tranquility within. Steph and Simon are extremely welcoming hosts who go out of their way to provide everything that a guest could possibly require, from beautifully decorated rooms to luxury toiletries and a fridge that comes stocked with fresh water, milk, fruit and snacks. Each room also has full tea and coffee making facilities, with the usual array of wine and water glasses and cutlery. In addition, they have a wealth of information on local sights and activities and are happy to add their own suggestions for days out or restaurants/ cafes. Our room was called Ben Ledi and actually took the form of a small suite, with separate bed , shower and living rooms. The bed was very comfortable and there was an excellent array of hairdryers, makeup mirrors etc for those requiring them. The room had lovely views over the rear garden in one direction and a more open view to the side of the house in the other direction. Even though the weather was very warm during our stay the rooms all stayed cool, which was a welcome relief. Breakfast can either be taken in the dining room or in your room, to suit your schedule or preference. If there is a stand out point of Westcot it would have to be the breakfasts. To say that they are stunning wouldn’t come close to describing the quality and variety of the food on offer. We chose the breakfast in our room option and a time for it to be delivered each day. It comes in the form of a massive hamper, filled with a wide range of fresh fruit, cereals, home baked savoury and sweet pastries, scones and cakes, homemade muesli, jams and marmalades, fruit juice and other breakfast favourites such as eggs, ham etc. What is even more incredible is that every morning the contents of the hamper is different, so you are excited to see what it contains each day. I have attached a couple of photos of the hamper to give an indication of what is on offer. We found that even after eating our fill at breakfast time there was always enough to take away for whatever activity we were doing that day, so they actually either save you money for a lunch or act as a packed lunch if you are going walking somewhere where there perhaps aren’t too many options to eat en route. Westcot doesn’t do evening meals, being a B and B, but they allow guests to use the peaceful dining room if they want to bring back a takeaway. Each of the 3 bedrooms has their own designated table for their own use. The room is well stocked with a microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and all manner of tableware, cutlery, glasses and cups and saucers. There are also numerous different types of teabags and coffees left for the guests to use. Just simply let Steph know that you have used the room and she will tidy up afterwards. I would have to say that Westcot is a truly special place to stay and has to be experienced to be appreciated for all the little personal touches that Steph and Simon have provided. The rooms are for couples only, as they don’t cater for families, but if you’re looking for that special break amidst beautiful scenery for the two of you then Westcot will not disappoint.

My wife and I spent last weekend at Westcot Guesthouse in Callander. It was one of the best experiences ever of staying in a guesthouse. From arrival to departure it could not have been bettered. The welcome from Stephanie was superb. We immediately felt completely at ease. We had booked the suite. It was better than many we have stayed in at some high grade hotels. It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. A seating area in each room was so welcome. A lovely shower room with everything you need and loads of towels. The breakfast hamper, left outside the room in the morning was amazing. The presentation of fruit, yogurt, cereals, fresh baking and savouries was incredible. A great deal of thought has obviously gone into this way of serving breakfast. No shortage of tea and coffee which happens in many places. At night everything was so peaceful. We have already recommended Westcot to friends and family. A big thank you to Stephanie and Simon for making a short break into a great one.

Thank you both so very much. What a wonderful and thoughtful review. We’re just delighted that you both felt so welcome and comfortable, and of course, full after your breakfast! I’ve just received your card, thank you! I will donate your postage to the Ripple Retreat, an amazing local charity which provides a holiday home on Loch Venachar, by Callander, for families with children undergoing cancer treatment, or those recently bereaved. Keep looking after each other, stay well and we look forward to welcoming you again in the near future

After searching the internet for last minute accommodation for a few nights I came across Westcot B&B. I wasn’t sure about getting a breakfast basket in our room but when I went to bring it in the first morning I could hardly lift it. It was full of homemade delights. My husband and I didn’t know where to begin and it changed each morning. We didn’t miss the full cooked breakfast at all. The suite we had had a separate sitting room and there was everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Stephenie was the perfect host and give us lots of ideas for places to walk from the doorstep. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

What a lovely review, thank you so much for taking the time to write it! So pleased to hear that you enjoyed the breakfasts so much, we do try to make it varied, interesting and tasty each day so thank you again. Speaking of tasty, thank you very much for the home grown tomatoes and the sloes you gave us - our sloe gin is coming on very nicely thanks (without the tomatoes of course!!). We are so glad that you enjoyed your weekend and hopefully see you again one day. Stephanie.x

We had such a relaxing long weekend staying at Westcot Guest House. The guest house is so peaceful and quiet, wee homemade cupcakes waiting for you on your arrival. Breakfasts are amazing, homemade pastries, scones, jams, muesli, chutney, smoothies etc, etc so much to choose from and it’s varied every day! Stephanie includes a wee handwritten greeting in your breakfast hamper every morning with weather for the day and suggestions what to do, which is a lovely wee touch. Stephanie puts so much effort into making your stay enjoyable and she is such a genuine, kind person. Simon is also very helpful and cheerful who also can’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We’re hoping to go back next year.

We visited last August for a few nights break! We loved this B&B, our room was spacious and comfortable in a beautiful quiet location. The breakfast hamper each morning was absolutely amazing and set us up for the day. The postcards included with tips on where to visit were an extra personal touch which we loved. What made our stay so special was our engagement & we were beyond delighted to receive specially made pancakes the following morning alongside our hamper. Our hosts were so helpful and so lovely, and we can't wait to come back in a few years as this place now holds such special memories for us

This is without doubt the best B&B I have stayed in. The breakfast box we had every day was exceptional. It should be a 5 star B&B and then some. I cannot recommend this B&B enough. Stephany the owner was a great host. It was my wife’s birthday and she put birthday cakes a card and ballon’s in the breakfast box. What a really nice gesture.
