I can't comment on the hotel but would like to share my experience of McNabs Restaurant. My husband and I went there for High Tea and it was superb with service to match. McNabs has been recently renovated to a good standard with a mix of old and new features and cosy soft furnishings. We had the fish and chips,...

My partner and I love this hotel and stay at least 4 times a year. "Yes" its old and in need of refurbishment but we are hoping they do not change it too much. Its rustic feel is what brings us back again and again. We have always found our room to be very clean and the food really good....

We stayed here recently as part of a coach tour,the place was filthy. Our room had damp on the ceiling and by the end of the week rain was coming in,one couple on our trip asked to be moved. The floor had not been cleaned for weeks,and the dust was weeks old,the excuse about we are going through a refurb...

Thank you for posting your comments on Trip Advisor The need for investment can be no excuse for the poor cleanliness issues that you mention and for this I would like to sincerely apologise. The hotel is in the process of receiving investment which will see all carpets and soft furnishing replaced as well as new beds, furniture, baths, Televisions...

Grand old hotel in the center of Callander is now having a bit of a refurb. The carpets were missing from the 2nd floor but as the skip outside testified this was part of the refurb, and indeed, the carpet fitter turned up first thing monday morning. We had a great time here the staff very friendly and helpful they are doing the hotel up and it's taking shape food is good new beds this time very comfy. The only down side is the entertainment is now being held in the dinning room great big room with no atmosphere it was a shame for the singer hardly...
