This was our first trip to Bude and we are so glad that we picked the Edgcumbe to stay. Such a friendly and welcoming family business. We were always welcomed with a smile and even enjoyed 2 lovely dinners! Breakfast was delish and the sea views were amazing. Great value for money 😁
From the moment we stepped foot into the Edgcumbe we were given a warm family welcome from everybody we met. The staff/owners were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The view from our spacious clean room was amazing, location is great for exploring Bude. We ate both nights in the Deck restaurant which we all absolutely loved, our son said it was 6 star not 5. The food was excellent quality, huge and delivered to the table super quick. The local g&t’s went down a treat. Breakfast was awesome too. We will definitely be back and 100% recommend. This little Gem is a must visit.
Having this unprecedented times with us and not being able to go abroad we have decided to go to Cornwall as I have never been. I found this lovely family hotel with a view to die for. We have pre-booked a time for our dinner because it was absolutely packed and I wanted to see what was all the fuss about. I have been absolutely amazed with the quality of food 🍱 and the size of it. Love the place and strongly recommend it.
I decided to take myself for a solo treat to Bude and stayed at The Edgcumbe for two nights. The staff were amazing (even helped me park my car) and seated me at a beautiful alcove table with a sea view for breakfast. The room was perfect and clean and the breakfast was excellent. Right on the coast with spectacular views. I highly recommend!
My partner and I visited for the weekend, the place is lovely, room was nice with a great sea view 😊 We had food there the first night which was delicious and arrived very quickly so couldn’t fault that! Overall it was a very good experience and would return. There was one snide remark we had, we came down for breakfast and was served by a lady with short brown wavy hair, me and my partner very politely asked if we could have the table wiped as was a bit dirty, my partner mentioned we wouldn’t usually care and would usually wipe it ourselves but said due to what’s going on at the moment would rather have it sanitised properly, to which she replied ‘well don’t come away then’ which we thought was incredibly rude and put a downer on our breakfast. But again lovely place, lovely staff (mostly) and lovely food. Would definitely give 5 stars if we didn’t have that comment.…
