Coming back to my childhood local 'town' after many years, I was impressed with how much has changed: not in terms of development ( not gonna happen in this heritage location) but in terms of flourishing businesses in town. Time was, "out of season" ( July-September )!!, this town was dead. Now (end of October) it's busy. And I couldn't...

Spent the best part of a week here with two children and can't fault the food, service, location or accommodation. Beyond friendly staff encourage a strong family vibe, bustling and cheery but totally chilled and informal at the same time. Absolutely brilliant stay here, will go back again!

My husband and I stayed here for one night, visiting friends in Bude. It's a family run establishment and overwhelmingly the most friendly place we've stayed in a long time. The staff were extremely hard-working and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them whether they were dealing with young people, families or the older generation. Our room was a...

A fantastic stay at The Edgcumbe this last weekend for my Sisters wedding. Every member of staff was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The venue was perfect, the location, the food, rooms, absolutely everything perfect. Thank you to everyone for making my sister and brother-in-laws day the best it could be and more. I returned from the trip last week, I cannot give enough praise for this family run establishment. They couldn't do enough to make my stay the best it could be. I even got an upgrade to a sea view room. The food was top rate better than you would expect from a small seaside hotel, but so was everything. Thanks...

What a truly amazing weekend. I stayed at the Edgcumbe for a family wedding & I could not recommend staying there more. It certainly is "the best hotel in Bude." The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble & they make sure that every detail is taken care of. I can't wait to stay there again. Don't think, just...

Booked this Hotel last minute for a short break. We had Room 5 with views over the sea whilst sitting in the bath, amazing. Everything was brilliant from the moment we arrived. It's a no frills place run by people with a fantastic outlook at life. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying here and it is perfect. Room 12 was lovely, sea view and spacious. The wicker chairs were the perfect addition to the room so we could stare at the view. Breakfast was lovely, lots of options. Staff very helpful & friendly. We will definitely be back.

This hotel is situated in a great location near to the beach. The breakfasts were average, decent portions and well cooked. Specials like smoked salmon were extra. Filter coffee was topped up often but far too strong for my taste. No cappuccino option. Very good breakfast service by friendly member of staff. There were no complementary teabags on our second...
