Surf Haven is an oasis of delight
Caroline is a force of nature who is so welcoming as is Peter at her side
You will find no better breakfast in a five star hotel with the best of ingredients ,cooked exactly to your liking and always served with a smile by delightful Peter
The bedrooms are fantastic with a lovely view across the golf course down to the sea. The bed linen is of excellent quality, perfectly ironed and the bed comfy and cosy. You are also spoilt with a constant supply of Caroline’s home made flapjacks also humbugs and milk
The bathroom is spotless, light and airy and has luxurious fluffy white towels
We simply love it here. You couldn’t do better

Returning after two years I was delighted to see that Surf Haven’s high standards continue to prevail. I have come to appreciate even more the little touches that put this B & B in its own special category, having stayed in a number of B & B’s since. It was wonderful to park up outside the house and then forget about the car as both town and beach are within easy walking distance. On one of the days here I shopped until I dropped at the myriad of independent shops and marvelled at variety and quality of these independents. The restaurants in Bude are fabulous with a special mention to Elements where I had several meals with my friends. Also of note is the artisan bakery - The Electric Bakery that is well worth the walk across town. Speaking of food, the breakfasts were delicious and nothing was too much trouble for Caroline and Peter. Between the restaurants and the fabulous breakfasts, I had to move the belt notch one along despite the multiple walks that I undertook in the area. Perhaps next time I should learn to surf. With all that walking, shopping and eating I was very grateful for the very comfortable bed ,with the whitest, crispest linen I have ever seen; accommodating my 6ft length without me having to sleep sideways. In addition, the rainhead shower with brilliant pressure and hot water always on tap had me revelling in the luxury of this and I spent much longer in the shower than normal.

We have been visiting Surf Haven since Caroline and Peter started their B&B. As always it was spotlessly clean and breakfast is extremely well cooked, tasty (try the hog pudding with your bacon and eggs, etc. ) and very plentiful. It is also a very short walk to Crooklets Bay and there are many lovely walks from there, either up over the headland, along the beach (tide permitting), or through town and up to Storm Tower via the canal. Your room has a small fridge too, offering proper milk for your tea/coffee making. Lots of good places to eat evening meals in town too. Well worth a visit.

Our short getaway stay in this luxury b&b was great after a unsettled start to the year. The hosts are friendly and make you feel very welcome with nothing being a problem. The huge bed is super comfortable in the extra large room with fantastic ensuite (almost as big as the bedroom). Breakfast options are excellent and taste great. The quiet location overlooks a golf course and is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Ideal as a base for walkers and beach lovers. We will be back later in the year.

I've lost count of how many fantastic holidays we have had at Surf Haven. It never ever fails to disappoint! From the second you walk through the door to the moment you leave, absolutely everything is just perfect. Welcoming and caring host's who genuinely care about their guests. Luxurious rooms with everything catered for....mini fridge, wine glasses, bottle opener, filtered water and even home made flapjacks replenished daily 😋 Delicious breakfasts, with plenty of choice, with all preferences and allergies thoughtfully covered. They even remembered my love of Marmite from our last stay! Thank you so so much Peter and Caroline, we can't wait to be back soon x

Surf Haven is a great find in a great location on the beautiful cornish coastline. I had a wonderful 2 night stay with great hospitality from Caroline & Peter who were the most perfect hosts. They were so welcoming that nothing was too much trouble. Caroline was very kind to offer me an amazing en suite double room all to myself and it was super spacious and spotless with crisp fresh linen, robe and slippers and even an added treat of homemade flapjack and a jar of humbugs to go with the tea/coffee making facilities and fresh milk in the fridge. My favorite spot to sit and meditate was on a comfy chair by the window with a super view over the golf course and the coastline out to sea. The bed was lovely and comfy and the large bathroom was tasefully decorated and all well cared for. The choice of breakfast was endless, tasty and perfectly cooked and served. I am very fussy about my eggs and they were the best poached I have ever tasted! Caroline even packed up fruit for my long journey home. I would most certainly recommend a stay with Caroline & Peter at Surf Haven and will definately be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay and the best cornish experience.

Just returned from another fabulous week with Caroline and Peter at Surf Haven!!
As always the room was spotlessly clean with beautiful bed linen and towels, add to that the filter coffee, fresh milk, baked flapjack daily, a few mint humbugs for your coastal walk … and you’re in the best accommodation you could ever ask for!
Breakfast is both hearty and healthy … well cooked by Caroline and served by Peter.
Already booked for next year …. can’t wait!

We’ve recently returned home to Australia from England, and our fourth stay (four nights this time) in Surf Haven in Bude. It’s always a great place to stay - roomy, comfortable and scrupulously clean rooms, great breakfasts from a good menu, and hosts in Caroline and Peter who are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We use Surf House as a base to visit other places in this amazing part of Cornwall, and we thoroughly recommend it.

Just returned from a fabulous break at Surf Havenwhich is in my opinion is the best and definately our favourite guest house in Cornwall. Had an absolutely wonderful time with our lovely hosts Peter and Caroline who are absolutely amazing. They make our stay extra special which is why we keep coming back. The rooms are contemporary, spacious with very large fantastic bathrooms which are absolutely spotlessly clean The bed and the linen are divine and I had the best night sleep in a long time. Breakfast as always was beautifully cooked, presented and delicious I cannot recommend this B&B more highly and it really is a special place. I can’t wait for my next visit which will be soon !

I didn’t see an iron in our bedroom but the hosts are so accommodating I imagine they would provide one if asked? I would suggest giving them a ring to enquire?
