We found the offer on Travelzoo , which included a tour in the on-site gin distillery with a free gin at the start. We found the hotel in a great location for the beach and town. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. We loved the

All of the staff we encountered were friendly and polite however it seemed that they were a bunch of new recruits in their first week on the job. The young lady who took us for the gin tour with three other couples started with pouring our complimentary gin out in the bar

Dear Ninapup, Thank you for reviewing An Mor. We are sorry to hear you will not be returning to An Mor. With regards to the gin on arrival and gin tour to showcase our 'gin school' not distillery. I can reassure you that all arrival gins are served with a 25 ml of gin ice, dehydrated lemon or lime and juniper berries as a garnish. All gins and then served with a fever tree tonic. We are sorry you felt the gin tour wasn't informative enough and staff training is in place to rectify this, however if you attended a gin making or gin tasting class this would be very informative to learn all about the gins and how to make them. Unfortunately one of the lady's serving you is new to An Mor and was in training (I'm sure you can understand at some point new staff will make mistakes during their training period), but if you felt the choice of wine was not described to you in the best way, you could of then asked the other member of staff or asked to see our drinks list which would've given you the description of the wines and prices. We have now got a new head chef with new vegetarian options which are all home cooked and freshly sourced locally. The hotel prides itself in the quirky british decor throughout the whole hotel, the rooms are still within the theme of the hotel but not as 'in your face' which most guests love and rare to receive a comment of the rooms 'lacking in personality'. The smell on checkout I cannot explain, all staff work extremely hard and not once have we experienced 'a bad odor lingering around the reception area'. We hope you find a good alternative hotel to stay in Bude. Kind Regards An Mor Team

We stayed at the An Mor on a Saturday night, we booked the room through Travelzoo. The deal included breakfast, a G&T and a tour of the distillery. We were booked in room 107 which was great, with views along the river and out to sea. The hotel is very well decorated with superb

Dear Greendragon1, Thank you for taking the time to review An Mor. We are pleased to see you had a pleasant stay and can reassure you we now have a new head chef with a new menu and home cooked food and will make sure all the problems regarding the food has been rectified. Thank you for informing us regarding the shower we can now report this to maintenance to make sure this is resolved for the next guest occupying the room. The gin tour is just to showcase our 'gin school' which is not a distillery, we do however distil our own house gin but for our own use only not to distribute. We hope to see you in the near future to showcase our new food menu. Kind Regards An Mor Team

Do they do a good vegetarian menu and breakfast
Yes - both vegetarian and vegan options are available. Not just the same old suspects either.

Breakfast is included in the price of your stay. The location of the hotel isn't difficult to find but not easy either. The road through the hotel is quite narrow, keep looking for the sign if you don't want to drive pass.
