Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the most amazing time at Daisybank Cottage, we stayed in the Dandelion suite. The log burner, the sauna and the roll top bath just made it a romantic weekend away. The breakfast is served in your room by the lady assistant at Daisybank, she brought it over every morning and we sat at the table and thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. The bed is very comfortable and the room is very spacious with a big fridge so that all the gin and prosecco we bought with us was being nicely chilled in the room. The only thing we would comment on was that maybe the TV in the room could have been bigger, but this wasn't a show stopper and also the welcome pack is out of date, it still has all the Covid restrictions detailed within. We walked to the village on Saturday night, this only took 15 mins and we had a few drinks in the Commoners bar and had an Indian meal at the Dynasty restaurant. Both were lovely, the food was good. A lovely 50 min walk from the train station around the forest was the ideal way to end the weekend. We would stay again with Cheryl and Ciaran.

Lovely self-contained cottage, beautifully appointed and very cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great breakfast and helpful hosts. Just wish we could have stayed longer! Did not get a chance to try the sauna, but it was very appealing!

Beautiful room with area to sit outside and huge bathroom area - all very nice and really friendly staff and owners - we had a lovely breakfast and just felt relaxed and it was easy to find where things were with maps and advise from the B&B.

Very welcoming hosts. Very good location, especially if you travel by car. Excellent facilities, huge bed, fantastic linen, the room feels fresh and airy. Appreciate the living room and a wood burner. Excellent water pressure, and lovely toiletries. What we did not like - there was no body lotion, and we could hear our neighbors from the next room, especially in the living room and the bathroom. There was a considerable noise from the passing train on Friday, though we did not hear it on the weekend. Nice looking bath, but I really do not like plastic curtains.

We had a lovely weekend break at Daisybank cottage. Our room was beautiful, had everything we could have wanted, and there was a very relaxing atmosphere created. Breakfast was delicious! We were in Marryat room which we would particularly recommend. Very hospitable hosts, and we followed recommendations for walks and places to eat out which we also really enjoyed. Highly recommend a trip here!

A warm welcome awaited us with a spacious room equipped with table and chairs for breakfast in our room if we wished. We enjoyed our breakfast in the breakfast room. A super comfy bed, en-suite with bath and shower. A wonderful choice of breakfast with allergies catered for. Especially good for Gluten free. Each room with a fridge with fresh milk provided for our tea and coffees. Hosts are are so helpful and friendly. We so enjoyed our stay in this peaceful location.
